Semifinals: Pink/Federman/Ackerman - July 24
While many kids are either getting ready to head
back to the classroom or off enjoying their summer vacation, fifteen of the best
in the nation are off to sunny California for one reason... to be the last
person standing in the second Teen Tournament this season. Those fifteen... only
nine remain now as they compete in this win-or-go-home week for a spot in the
two-day final. Another standard two-week affair awaits as the
first runner-up receives $25,000 at least, while the second runner-up wins at
least $15,000.
Semifinalists are guaranteed at least $5000. As always, any
and all winning accrued depends on how far up the ladder a player goes.
So far, Kyle Neblett is the only person promised
a spot on Thursday. One of these three will join him.

Daily Double #1: $800 Synonyms. Meryl has just
been tearing up the board trying to catch up with Aiden. She managed to do just
that on the last clue and now, she leads with $12,200 to his $11,800. Meryl bets
$4000 on this: synonyms for "crowd" include throng, flock & this word that can
also mean an infatuation. Meryl blanks on "crush", leaving her with $8200.
Daily Double #2: $1200 July. The bet last Daily
Double is the lead this time as Meryl continues to take no prisoners. She has
$16,200 against Aiden's $12,200 and Lisa's $5800. Meryl bets $4000 again on
this: a July 17, 1917 royal proclamation changed the name of the British royal
family to this, like a castle. "What is Windsor?" Correct for $20,200!

FINALIST:
Meryl Federman
Mr. A says: This was almost a two-person match from
the start. Just so happens that those two got the
final wrong. and whilst Aiden was playing with his
... manhood (never trust the bravado of someone who
does the Rocky dance in his contestant intro), Meryl
was playing with her head. That's why she's in the
final. She's got some stiff competition in Kyle
Neblett, but it's nothing she can't handle if she
plays like she did today.
