Finals:
Mancuso/Briley/Schaefer - Part 2
May 11
Last week, fifteen teenagers headed to
the quiz show equivalent of "The Hunger Games" in Southern California.
Now it's on to the Capital, as the action switches to DAR Constitution
Hall in Washington, DC. At stake, $75,000 and the title of the 2012 Teen
Tournament Champion. Second place gets $25,000. Third gets $15,000. All
tournament tributes will receive the all new edition of Classroom
Jeopardy! for their schools. All money will be determined, as always, by
how far the players go in the tournament.

Entertainment. Catherine's been up front all game long with $4600, $2400 on
Elyse. She bets $3400 on this, "Alex"... Yeah, Catherine's through playing
games. Here's the clue. "The King's Speech" featured Timothy Spall as this
quippy future prime minister. "Who is Winston Churchill?" Correct for $8000!

Daily Double #1: $1600 Also a
Musical Term. On $4800, Elyse cannot catch Catherine, but she can pass Rose. She
bets... everything! For $9600 or nothing... this adjective can mean "very
useful" or "performed without vocals". "What is instrumental?" FOR THE DOUBLER,
$9600!
Video Daily Double #2: $1200
Pre-Civil War America. Rose has $7800 to Catherine's $15,400, but Elyse has been
on fire with $24,800. Rose bets, as well she should, $4000 on this from Jimmy...
"St. Louis' Old Courthouse was the scene of two trials involving this slave; he
won his freedom in the second trial, but the Supreme Court held otherwise,
helping spark the Civil War." "Who is Dred Scott?" Correct for $11,800!

Let's do some quick math in
our heads here. Let's say Rose bets it all, she has $23,600, added to
her $12,400, gives her $36,000. Catherine does likewise, she ends up
with $40,800. Elyse bets NOTHING.... and she still has $51,600. It's HER
TOURNAMENT TO LOSE.
