Yay, Season 2 green-lighting.  However, we still have Season 1 to work through, so let’s go.

Adam Levin
5’9” 196 lbs

Sharaud Moore
5’11” 205 lbs
Algebra Teacher

Monica Carlson
5’7” 130 lbs
Fitness Model

Belinda Gavin
5’7” 130 lbs
Pro Bull Rider

Game 1 is Powerball, and the men are squaring off against Titan, Mayhem, and Toa.  Mayhem lays a big hit on Adam about 20 seconds in, landing the contender awkwardly and preventing him from doing anything but limp around.  Sharaud is on his feat for the full 60, but only manages to tie Adam at 2.

On to the women we go, and they’ll be Powerballin’ with Stealth, Venom, and Crush.  No injuries here, just a nice smash-mouth game won by Monica, 6-4.

On the men’s side, it’s bad news.  Mayhem’s tackle on Adam caused his knee to pop and force him out of the match.  Therefore, replacing the “Hebrew Hammer” is Christian youth minister Andy Konigsmark.  I’m not kidding.  He’ll lead off on the Joust against Titan.  Unsurprisingly, his baptism ends him up in the drink.  For Sharaud, however, Titan’s case of happy feet proves to be beneficial as the Glad topples into him for 10 points and a 12-2 lead at the half.

The women go up for the Joust as well.  Belinda bull-rushes Venom for an automatic DQ, but Monica brings the hurt, earning the win and a 16-4 lead after 2.

Round 3 for the Men is Hit and Run.  Doing the swinging is Titan, Toa, Mayhem, and Wolf.  The game ends up very uneventful, as both contenders have the clock hit 0 just short of their 5th run, leaving the event in an 8-8 tie and Sharaud maintaining 20-10 lead.

The women’s 3rd event is Assault, and here’s a surprise appearance by Hellga.  Monica gets plunked right after the slingshot, but Belinda is able to use the turret to hit the top of the bulls-eye, sending Hellga flying into the drink and earning a big 10 points.  It’s now only 17-14 in favor of Monica after 3.

The men wrap up their front game with Assault and this time, it’s Justice.  Adam is able to find the arrow in station 3, but that’s as far as he goes.  Sharaud only gets as far as the turret, cranking it in the wrong direction to allow a hit right there.  That means he only has a 21-13 lead heading into the Eliminator.

The final round for the women is Pyramid.  Monica is against Stealth and Belinda is against Fury.  Monica shakes Stealth off not once, but twice, dismantling the top part of the Pyramid, but getting to the button in 27 seconds for 10 points and a 27-14 advantage.

It’s time to round out the Final 8 with the Eliminator.  The men start and Sharaud opens up with a 4-second head start.  He gets up the wall with ease, but his struggles under the water allows Adam to easily catch up and surpass him.  The youth minister doesn’t look back and wins in a time of 2’04.1.  That’s tops for the men which means he’s in the semis.  As for the women, Monica has a 6.5 second advantage.  That’s more than enough as she handily wins, earning the all-contender top time of 2 minutes flat.

Next week, we start cutting, as Venus and Adonis look on to see just how fast their Eliminator times don’t hold up.  Tune in next time for American Gladiators.
