Match #3 on our docket starts out with the Gauntlet.  “Big Country” Jeff leads off against Titan, Mayhem, Toa, and Justice.  Mayhem whacks him pretty good, but Jeff does get through all the Glads for 8 points.  Adonis gets through the first three quite quickly, but Justice stops him from further progress……or does he?  On the replay, it shows that Adonis crossed into the 4th safe zone, but Justice didn’t let go.  Therefore, he gets the full 10 for an early 2-point lead.

On to the women, and Christie is the first to fight Venom, Stealth, Siren, and ye olde Hellga.  The grappling champ puts the okie-doke on Stealth and kicks away Siren, but Hellga lays the smack down, stopping her at 6 points.  Siren and Hellga were Siene’s main obstacles, but she’s able to wriggle free and break the barrier with 2.3 left for the full 10 points.

Round 2 for the men is the Wall.  After 7 seconds, Jeff will deal with Mayhem and Adonis with Toa.  The latter Glad is able to catch up to Adonis half-way up and pulls him off, but Big Country climbs all 40 feet in 35 seconds for 10 points and an 18-10 lead at the half.

On to the women we go with the Joust.  Crush will be facing both our contenders, starting with Christie.  It only takes 15 seconds for Christie to splash down, but Siene takes a little longer.  She gets down to her knees and looks like she could hold out for 5, but BOOM HEADSHOT. A major blow to the head sends Siene down.  It’s a shutout as the ladies head to the half with Siene still leading 10-6.

The men lead off the 2nd half with the anti-grav grappling of Earthquake.  Big County squares off against Militia.  Jeff is able to get the Glad to the edge and prevents him from grabbing onto the suspension cables and both eventually tumble over, but it’s still good for the win and another 10 points.  Adonis almost does the same (although almost via the spandex), but Militia grabs the cable at the last second, sending only the contender to the mat for no points.  Jeff extends his lead to 28-10.

Back to the women and Hang Tough.  Venom is the Glad and Christie will start us off.  The two meet and kick around, but with a single tick left, Venom is able to pull the contender off for zippo.  Siene however is able to blast by the Glad and land in 21 seconds for 10 points and an attaboy from Venom.  She leads now 20-6.

Round 4 for the men is also Hang Tough.  Up first against Wolf is Adonis.  There’s a brief clash, but there’s nothing doing.  Adonis is able to avoid defeat and scores 10 in just 18 seconds.  Jeff is also able to put his feet on the other side, but he couldn’t fully land before Wolf yanks him off and dunks him for 0.  That’s a big swing for Adonis, as the lead is now only 28-20 heading into the Eliminator.

The ladies final game is Assault and staring down the barrel of Fury.  Christie gets killed before the turret, and Siene gets hit after the turret.  Siene wins 2-1, and takes the 22-7 lead into our final event.

Time for that uber-challenging Eliminator.  We start with the men and Big Country starting 4 seconds before Adonis.  After a few stumbles on both ends, it all comes down to the Travelator.  It takes 90 seconds, but Adonis is able to get up first and score victory in 3’47.  As for the women, Siene’s 7.5 second lead is just too much.  She leads wire-to-wire and clocks in at a speedy 2’22.

That’s all for now.  Tune in next week for more Monday Night Gladiators.
