There's Snow in Morocco?: Stage 4
July 14

Blood was shed and tears ran cold as the 11 teams made their way via camel, makeshift raft, and their own two feet past the kasbah and over to the Black Canyon in the most grueling leg of the Expedition so far. Things got too much for Grandpa's Warriors, as they were evac'ed out in 11th place. The tour de force continues with 10.

... and you are not seeing things, we've traded the 105-degree heat of the Sahara for the sub-freezing temps of the Atlas Mountains. Everyone has been given a bracelet. They are going to need that bracelet sometime in this journey. On Dave's mark, you will head up a ride to a 10,000-foot high bluff, where you will receive your instructions to the next checkpoint.

Because the Gypsies finished first in the last stage, they will get a headstart. Remember... Be strong, work together, and never give up.

And with Dave's signal... the Expedition... IS BACK ON!

Following them: No Limits & Country Boys. Following them... Football Players, Fab 3, and NY Firemen. Following THEM... the rest of the pack. You don't have to be first, but you can't be last.

AJ is fighting sickness as he ascends the mountain. Right now, the temperature is a chilling 28 at 9700 feet. Meanwhile, we learn that Erik has some snow-climbing experience, so don't worry about him. Chad of the Country Boys... fighting the wind. This terrain doesn't agree with him.

First to the checkpoint... the Gypsies...

CHECKPOINT #1 - 10,000 foot bluff
Your next instructions are locked in a register at the summit of this mountain. The key to your instructions is in a cage at the bottom of this bluff. Unravel your three bracelets. Shackle them together and add the grappling hook. Throw the grappling hook to retrieve a cage.

Second up to the bluff... No Limits. They get to the bluff as the Gypsies pick up their cage... with no key. The checkpoint begins to bottleneck, as Ryan arrives on a bum knee. Meanwhile, Kari... doesn't know what she's supposed to do, so AJ picks up the slack.

That's an important bit: only one teammate is to attempt this challenge.

The Gypsies get a key and this clue...

CHECKPOINT #2 - STONE SUMMIT
Trek down the icy mountain to the outlying base camp, where they will spend the night.

No Limits and Football Players follow the Gypsies down the mountain. The middle teams finally pick up keys and continue on. Despite having arrived last, the Country Boys have mastered the art of grappling and retrieve their keys.

Gypsies and No Limits are the first to check into camp. The sun begins to set and temperatures continue to drop, California Girls and Fab 3 are struggling with the cage grapple, as are the Firemen. Meanwhile, the middle teams make their way to base camp.

AJ finally gets a key, leaving with Kevin and Brittany to continue trying. Kevin... gets a key, leaving Brittany and the rest of the California Girls to fight it out as the sun continues to set. Down the mountain, AJ and Kari have it out, as siblings are want to do.

Football Players, Fishermen, Cops, Kansas, and Country Boys check in, followed by Fab 3.

NY Firemen stick around to help Brittany with her line. After all, there's that spiel about never leaving a fallen soldier behind. EVER. And it pays off. They end up checking in together.

The next day begins as the teams struggle to feel their various appendages. Once they've gotten something warm in them, the Expedition continues with Gypsies leading off west over a mountain out of the snow and into the Tinghir Farming Village.

Altitude takes its toll on the teams. As they descend, snow turns into stone... which turns into greens.

The Gypsies are - and I'm starting to sound like a broken record - the first to arrive at...

CHECKPOINT #3 - FARMING VILLAGE
To succeed as a farmer in this village, you'll need the right tools. Select a plow and transport via mule through grueling switchbacks to the next Checkpoint at the Teahouse.

No Limits make quick work of the checkpoint, followed by the Football Players. The Country Boys are currently in last place, but are gaining up on Team Kansas. Meanwhile, the middles are coming to the village, loading up mules, and closing the gap. Meanwhile, Kari & AJ continue to break down.

At the top of the switchbacks, the teams will note one of 10 color-coded Ford Explorers, the official vehicle of "Expedition Impossible"... for money... They'll also find...

CHECKPOINT #4 - TEAHOUSE
Trade your mule for horsepower. Load your plow into the Ford Explorer and drive down to the next Checkpoint at the Terraces.

The Country Boys are meeting up with the Kansas girls in the village as their paths cross.

Meanwhile, shockers, the Gypsies are the first to arrive at...

CHECKPOINT #5 - TERRACES
The Finish is buried in a farming terrace. Plow across the field until you dig up the canister that contains instructions to the Finish.

No Limits arrives shortly afterwards, and they're battling it out for first place. Meanwhile at the Teahouse, the middles are trying to gain ground. The Country Boys and Team Kansas have fallen two hours behind the rest of the pack.

Blah blah blah, Gypsies... blah blah blah first to find... Imlil Outpost finish line. On their tail, No Limits. Meanwhile the middle teams find the terrace and start digging. AJ meanwhile... is still sick.

FINISH LINE 4

The Gypsies are the first team to find the Finish Line and check in, giving them the win in Stage 4, followed by No Limits and ... right now, nobody else.

The California Girls close the gap by finding their clue almost immediately. Fab 3 follow suit. Football Players, NY Firemen, Cops, and Fishermen cross the finish, while Team Kansas and the Country Boys are in a battle to avoid elimination.

California Girls and Fab 3 lock in the seven and eight spots.

The Country Boys are the first to find the instructions ahead of .... our eliminated team this week, Team Kansas. They don't hide their anger, being as competitive as they are. They don't give up and finish the challenge, but regrettably, it's all for naught as the extraction chopper awaits.

The Expedition continues with nine teams next time.
