Submarine Showdown: Army Brats vs. Navy Brats
June 29

(C-NOTE: a lot of cool stuff happens on this show, but you shouldn't try ANY of it at home. The players are outfitted with safety in mind, and so is the set. Seriously... Don't try... Don't die.)

It's a whole new season... with new things to destroy... new things to build... and that can only mean ... NEW THINGS TO DESTROY. Tonight, it's not just family vs. family... it's Army vs. Navy!

Navy Brats
Captain Rick, Chris, and Joseph
Army Brats
SFC Tony, Justin, and Tyler

Tonight, the teams will build submarines with floating towers, periscopes, and a ladder to climb up on deck and shoot ammo. They're going to use the wreckage from the boats shown on the hill...

First up, we have to destroy them, but how?

- WATER BOTTLE CRUSH.
- FLYING BOAT with C4
- You know'em. You love'em. You secretly want to be one.... THE DESTROYERS!

The Navy Brats want to see a boat fly... Fly, little boat, fly. The Army Brats enlist the big bottles of water... which tears the boat in half.

All together now... Three... two... one... DESTROY!

Now to build the submarines. Andrew has thrown in some extra odds and ends, and each team has their own set of Builders to construct a fleet of subs worthy of basic cable and able to withstand a $3000 barrage of tennis balls.

Good luck to both teams... THREE.. TWO... ONE... BUILD!

The Navy Brats' boat is in half. That's a bit of an advantage for weight. They flip the boat over and install a ball feeder and launcher. Meanwhile, the Army Brats want their hatch in the back. They want their sub to look like a diesel truck with a rail feeder on the sides. But they have one problem... the boat is still stuck on the hill.

Setback Challenge: Recycled Bottles

The bottles from the Destroy Round will have to be refilled using slightly smaller bottles of water. But you won't be pouring them. You'll be throwing them at the wall of spikes trying to bust them open for distance. First one to the red line wins.

The Army has a bit of issue from the far line trying to throw for distance, allowing the Navy to catch up and win. The setback options...

- Tool Fishing (the Army will try to retrieve tools that are hidden underwater. They must catch three)
- Hired Help (the Builders defect to the Navy)

The Army... is going fishing.

And... TIME! Let's see what you have.

ARMY BRATS: They have the USS Diesel, which looks like a freight truck but has the fire power of a tank. The slingshot has yet to be tested, though.
NAVY BRATS: They have the Poseidon, a heavier model with a sleeker slingshot. Will it do the job, or will the ship be too heavy to maneuver?

And now... to battle. The object is simple: both teams will have to navigate their subs using only their periscopes to targets stationed around Lake DBD. They'll have to fire at those target in order to score. First one to hit all four of their targets IN SEQUENTIAL ORDER wins $3000 and the right to send their opposing rig to glorious death.

Good luck to both teams... Ready, set... FIRE AWAY!

And we start with a breach in the Poseidon. The Navy reach their first flag, while the Army are trying to reach their first target. The Army is catching up when the Navy has to reload. The Army takes the lead. But the Navy takes back the competition with target 3... and they don't look back. NAVY BRATS WIN!

So... $3000 is yours, no matter what. Now the good bit. They can destroy the Army's sub with either the simple C4... or the insane subsonic explosion? They go with... the insane option! Get your diaper ready.

Next week... more big booms. Until then... ... Three... two... one... OOH-RAH!
