(C-NOTE: a lot of
cool stuff happens on this show, but you shouldn't try ANY of it
at home. The players are outfitted with safety in mind, and so
is the set. Seriously... Don't try... Don't die.)
It's a whole new
season... with new things to destroy... new things to build...
and that can only mean ... NEW THINGS TO DESTROY. Tonight, it's
all about the brainpower as a team of geniuses and a team of
athletes take the titular tasks.

Tonight, the teams will build electromagnetic
cranes. Those will have to hold and transport metallic material for our
challenge later. They'll build their cranes from the wreckage of two
Bookmobiles. And for the record, these books were headed for recycling and you
should never destroy a book unless it's past the point of reading. OR... just
get an e-Reader. ANYWAY.
First up, we have to destroy them, but how?
- CHEMICAL REACTION. Mix together two
chemicals... Boom.
- TOILET DUMP: Toilet + concrete = a ton of fun.
- You know'em. You love'em. You secretly want to be one.... THE DESTROYERS!
Straight A's give the toilet
dump. And... nothing happens. A-Gamers go with more destruction
out of the chemical reaction. That's a Destroyer's cue. And...
boom goes the dynamite.
All together now... Three... two... one...
DESTROY!
Now to build the vehicles. Andrew has thrown in
some extra odds and ends, and each team has their own set of Builders to
construct electromagnetic cranes to clear a path to $3000 victory. And defeat
for the losing machines.
Good luck to both teams... THREE.. TWO... ONE...
BUILD!
The A-Gamers build will have a
crane in the back controlled by two players, while the driver...
drives. The Straight A build is concentrating on the crane...
and getting the thing to look like a tank for some reason.
Griffin's idea.
Setback Challenge: Computer Hack Attack
Each team will have to crash a
line of computer screens using thrown hammers. Where are the
hammers? They're in a field buried. You'll have to find them
using a metal detector. But be warned, they're not the only
metallic objects out there. There are eight groups of six
hammers each.
Jared carries the A-Gamers, but
the Straight A's catch up. The A-Gamers take it, though, 5-4.
Their setback options...
- Gravel Dump
- The 100 Light-Bulb Screw
The Straight A's... get screwed.
How's THAT for a bright idea?
And... TIME! Let's see what you have.
A-GAMERS: They kept the build light and low to
the ground for maneuverability.
CHILLAXERS: They've kept to their promise of building a tank, but will it be
able to move?
Now to race. Each team will have to race from the
start to the end and back, using their magnets to clear the path along the way.
First one back wins $3000 and the right to put the finger on the button.
Good luck to both teams... HIT THE ATTRACT!
The Straight A's have a problem
with their magnet in the second box. They don't have the power
to keep a hold of the obstacle. The A-Gamers pull ahead... but
the Straight A's get their power back... and rally back. And
they DON'T look back. The STRAIGHT A'S WIN the $3000!
Now comes a choice. They can destroy the A-Gamers' truck with
a beta-wave blast device... you can think your destruction on your opponent...
OR a plain ol' switch. They decide... on the switch. Three thumbs, one button.
Next week... more big booms. Until then... ...
Three... two... one... DESTROY!
