Week 4: Glitter in a
Blender (Mix & Match Week)
April 7 |
Something must be wrong here
on DWTS. Actually, nothing is wrong. It's switch-up
week, where for one week, dancers find new pros and vice
versa. Let's see how it goes.
Before we start, Julianne Hough will be the Guest judge
joining the Big 3 and since it's the nature of the week,
everyone gets the free pass yet again. So we begin with
Candace with new partner Tony taking the first quickstep
of the season to "Ballroom Blitz" by The Sweet. It
started on the band area and continued on the floor. It
even ended with one big move. We move to this....
Candace & Tony's score: 28
Next, James getting Cheryl to do a tango to "Dark Horse"
by Katy Perry w/Juicy J. Cheryl was on the throne was
James did a knee slide and went to the band area. After
a floor run, she got back on the throne getting James to
leave her alone. That;'s not good. What's good is
this....
James & Cheryl's score: 35
Next, Drew getting Witney to do a cha-cha to Sugarfoot
by Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears. Drew once again
ditched the glasses to do his dance including a weird
solo. He even took a knee slide there. It all ended with
Drew pointing to the camera and we point to this.
Drew & Witney's score: 33
Moving along, it's Danica picking Maks for a jive to
"Love Me Right!" by The Swag Geeks w/Brook Penning.
Although it was 50's-inspired, Danica pushed maks away
for a bit and with Maks left alone, she joined the
troupe to do her thing. As for this....
Danica & Maks' score: 32
Now it's Charlie & Peta doing a rumba to "Wildest
Moments" by Jessie Ware. They decided to do it in a
circle of lights and it was sensual in ways you never
thought possible. Now comes the scores.
Charlie & Peta's score: 33
Moving on, Amy & Mark doing a salsa to "Brand New" by
Pharrell w/ Justin Timberlake. Both did synchronized arm
work and it all ended with a helpcopter spin. Not bad
for a paralympic athelete. Now the scores:
Amy & Mark's score: 34
Cody will pick Sharna right now to do a foxtrot to "I'm
Yours" by Jason Mraz. It starts off with Cody Simpson
being Cody Simpson......and afterwards it went to
dancing. It was as if it was set in a park, but it felt
right with it. Score check, please!
Cody & Sharna's score: 31
Nene is getting Derek to do jazz to "Grown Woman" by
Beyonce. Enter Nene dresssed as an African dancer and it
set the room on fire! Let's put it out with this....
Nene & Derek's Score: 32
All that's left is Meryl and Val doing an Argentine
Tango to 'Too Close" by Alex Clare. This show you what
teh perfect example fo a tango would become. Those 2
need a masterclass real quick. As for teh scoring.....
Meryl & Val's score: 39
So it's official. The final tally reads Meryl with 39,
Jamse with 35, Amy with 34, Drew & Charlie with 33,
Danica with 32, Cody with 31 and Candace dead last with
28.
Next week, Disney Week. We pay tribute to the studio
that made animated hits. Hope to see you there!
