Round
of 8 - I Wonder As You Wander
April 22
Show 1: It began with just 6 couples, 2 hosts and 1
format.
Show 300: It continues with 8 couples, 1 host left over and the same format.
Can't hardly believe we've been here almost 8 years since the program first
began and it's about to get better because Stevie Wonder is in the building for
a special night to help the couples dance to routines. Let us begin right now.
To begin with, country star Hunter Hayes joined him for the opening ceremony and
we begin with Zendaya & Val doing a cha-cha to "Do I Do." One highlight you
might find was Zendaya doing twirls and Val getting the kiss on her hand. Now we
get to teh judges. Len said it was full of snap, crackle & pop, Bruno said she's
smacking gorgeous and Carrie Ann said she blew her away. Blow the scoreboard
with a fan!
CARRIE ANN: 10 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 10
Round 1 Score: 29
Second, Andy & Sharna doing a samba to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours."
Andy played mailman and Sharna opened up to his surprise. Later, Sharna slinked
through Andy and by the end, both came in the door. We get out to the judges.
Bruno said he didn't quite make it to Brazil, Carrie Ann said it had a little
thrust and Len said it wasn't that good. How good was it?
CARRIE ANN: 6 LEN: 6 BRUNO: 6
ROund 1 Score 18
Third up, Sean & Peta also dancing a samba to "I Wish." A holoraphic record
begins to play and Sean looks through albums until a fake cover of Peta is
brought to life. Later on, Sean took off his shirt and there was more. Now we go
to the judges again. Carrie Ann said it had the most bounce she's seen in a long
time, Len said he was just collasping and Bruno said he wuold get a job as a
stripper. Collecting the tips....
CARRIE ANN: 7 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 21
Next is Aly & Mark doing a foxtrot to "Isn't She Lovely." Both were reading the
paper in some outdoor cafe setting and threw them away. After this routine, we
head straight to the judges. Len said it needs a little bit of improvement,
Bruno said it was pretty as a picture and Carrie Ann said she's connected to her
emotions. Connecting to teh scoreboard....one moemnt please....
CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9
ROund 1 Score: 27
Here is Ingo & Kym doing a tango to "Uptight (Everything's Alright.") Soon as
this little tango thing was over, we head to the judges. Bruno said he could
turn it on when he want it, Carrie Ann said it was great and Len said it's a
bingo! daub the numbers!
CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 8
Round 1 Score: 24
We're ready for Kellie & Derek doing a quickstep to "Part-Time Lover." It was
all the quickstep you've ever had & more. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann
said it had perfect nuance, Len said it was the best dance of the season and
Bruno said it had dancing of the best quality. Here's what the scoreboard
says....
CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 10 BRUNO: 10
Next is Victor & Lindsay doing a rumba to "I Just Called To Say I Love You." The
holographic flower bed was rolled away to spot them in a circle and Lindsay
later did a foot drag. After this, we drag race to the jduges. Len said it coped
very well, Bruno said it was like an airline safety drill and Carrie Ann said
there was no hip action. Get hip to this!
CARRIE ANN: 6 LEN: 6 BRUNO: 6
Total Score: 18
And to end the half, Jacoby & Karina doing a quickstep to "For One In My Life."
Online dating came to the scene and after this, Karina came in teh arms of him.
Now we move on to the judges. Bruno said they took the first round, Carrie Ann
said she liked the frame and Len said it was like a Beatles Medley. Here's the
scoreboard....
CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 8
ROund 1 Score: 23
After the first half, Zendaya & Kellie both tied at the top with 29, Aly with
27, Ingo with 24, Jacoby with 23, Sean with 21 and 18s go to Andy & Victor.
Maybe the Team round could change all this.
TEAM ROUND
Team Paso Doble consist of Zendaya, Jaocby, Ingo & Victor to a RHCP classic
"Higher Ground." Ingio went first and Kym did a floor spin. Jacoby came next and
leaped over Karina. Zendaya kicked into the 3rd position which meant one more
team came in the mix. They goot 22 for the result which meant Victor with 40,
Jacoby with 45, Ingo up a point and 51 going to Zendaya.
Twitter heads, please hastag with the word "encore" with the routine like Team
Samba consisting of Aly, Andy, Kellie and Sean to "Superstition" covered by
Stevie Ray Vaughn. Everybody gathered around a mirror ball which DWTS is known
for and afetr Sean, ALy came in next, and after that, Andy came along which
Sharna almost kicked him and Kellie rounded ut out. The score: 25, so that means
Andy has 43, Sean with 46, Aly with 52 and teh woman of the mountain, Kellie
Pickler with 54.
Well, that about does it. Show #301 will be tomorrow. Hope one team will be
gone, possibly Victor or Andy. We'll see you later.
