Mega Match by Gordon Pepper, GSNN

Air time:  Saturdays Noon ET/11am CT on Telefutura
Hosts: Samir Bazi, Chiquinquirá Delgado & Daniel Somaro
Welcome to another edition of Megamatch. In the first hour, we have the holiday special, and the first event is the joust, where the teams have to knock each other off a podium. It was back and forth, but the Green Team wins the first match-up and they get the first time.

Anyone for singing? We get the song, then you race to the microphone and perform it. Yellow gets a slow start, but they get 7 points (vs Green's 5) to win the event and tie up the match.

Anyone looking to find Megamatch logos? 6 of them are hiding under 12 spaces, and the team that finds the last one wins. We start with Yellow, who goes with 7 (LOGO), and then 3 (X). Over to Green, who start with 5 - and get an X. Back to Yellow, who score with 4 (LOGO), but not with 10 (X). Green gets control - and gets an X with 2 (X). Yellow's turn again, and they get...another X on 12 (X). They are now out of the game, and Green gets a chance to get some time - but they can't reveal the last X or no one gets the time. 11...is a Logo. 6. ..is an X and the game is over. After all that, no one gets any more time.

Next up - the Water Carrier game. I have never seen the yellow team win - and I'm not going to see them win this time either, as they barely get 0.5 in the container. Green doesn't do too well themselves, only getting 1 in, but the 1 is enough and they pick up another 2 minutes.

The match is still too close to call, so we head into the Trivia Round. The Yellow team wins the round and has a decent 6 minutes to have into the room.

This time, running the bonus round, we have a lady, as Elizabeth gets chosen to run the course. Traditionally, women have not done very well in the Bonus House, but maybe she will change the luck. She does get the books (and apparently, the producers have deemed the house too hard - it's now three books to arrange instead of 5), and gets through the potion room very quickly. She gets through the thread room, very quickly, but it having problems on the door to get into the model room. She still has 90 seconds left to complete the balancing bowling pin room. With 90 seconds, she can't get even 2 pins to balance, and me thinks that the producers may need to make this stunt easier, too. Still, she does win appliances, a TV, a range/stove and a refrigerator.

For the first match in the second hour, we get our jousting little friends again. The Green Team wins this one handily, 16-11 and they strike first.

Next up - the singing part of the show. Green had the better performances - and they got up more often, so they get the points and a nice 2-0 lead over yellow.

Yellow desperately needs to get on the board, but with the water carrying stunt up next, I'm not too sure about their chances. The fears are justified, as yellow only gets up to 2, while Green gets up to a scorching 14. Green wins another one, and should they have a nice trivia run, they will be in great shape to do some major damage in the bonus house.

In the Question Round, Yellow does show up and get 1:50, but Green gets another 2:10 in the round, giving them a grand total of 6:10. It's a very nice time to have as they advance to the Bonus House.

IN the bonus round, we have another female named Marilei. It must be women's lib around here. She gets the books done rather quickly. She also gets through the potion room quickly but the luck of the keys is not with her. She's getting through the stunts quite nicely, and like her counterpart in the first episode, still have over a minute in the bowling pin room. She has as much success as everyone else in that room (read: none) and that's where she stays when time runs out.

She also wins appliances, a tv, a range/stove and a refrigerator, but we have a serious issue with the bowling pin room. If you have 2 minutes in a room and can't remotely get the first part of the stunt done, then it's too hard to do. That room either needs to be made easier (like the library room) or discarded entirely.

That ends this weekend's shows. Tune in next week to see if they decide to do anything about the bowling pin room.
