Family Feud by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or familyfeud.com
Host: Richard Karn
Brooks (Debbie, James, Nathan, Cecil, Mike); $20,800, two days
Kobus (Janice, Sarah, Alyssa, Beth, Irene) from Chicago

Daytime or nighttime, any time's the right time for a Feud. Round 1: something which the more you have the more you're likely to get into (6). Debbie gets #1, money. Rest of the champs get booze, time, and girlfriends/boyfriends. The Kobus, taking page from Orwell, go with freedom for the steal. Not there! The Brooks get 86. Other answer: bills/credit cards, guns.

Round 2: a kind of pool (6). Sarah's swimming pool is the top answer. The rest of the girls get a whirlpool, a pool table, a car pool, and a gambling pool. The Brooks try out a pool cue. Not there. The Kobus get 92. Other answer: cesspool.

Double Round: a reason someone might move to another state (5). Alyssa gets the big money with job. Climate and family also made the list, but the Brooks hope to move up with cost of living. We need a little more specific. "A lower cost." Not there, the Kobus get 252. Other answers: lower taxes, cheaper homes. So close, but no.

Triple Round: something women have with a strap on it (4). Beth says bra... it's #1! Shoes and purses also keep the challengers alive, but the Brooks answer back with dress... Got it! The Brooks win, 362-252.

Siblings Debbie & Cecil are going to try again for the Fast Money... but only manage 143 for $715, a three-day total of $21,515.

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Vik Vaz (medical student from Austin, TX); $23,201
Kelly Croissant (EMT orig. from Sioux Falls, SD)
Deena Banks (writer from La Mesa, CA)

Vik inherits the champ's podium, but there's an EMT waiting to operate on the future. Or perhaps Deena will write herself a story of her victory. That's why we play the game. Vik starts us with $200 Please, Sir, I Want Samoa. Deena tears into a few clues from Their 1st Billboard #1 to take the lead at the TV time out, $2800 to Vick's $2200 and Kelly's $400.

Vik ties Deena's $2800 in time to see the Daily Double under $600 'Tis Time to Testify. He bets $2000 on the House committee that saw Bertolt Brecht testify in 1947. "What is the House Un-American Activities Committee?" Right on for $4800. That's what he'll end the round with, as does Kelly with $3400 and Deena with $3600, as we have a close one going into Double Jeopardy!...

But FIRST! A scoring change! Deena, thanks to a response on Before & After (Gene Kelly Resources) is now at $4400. Now to Double Jeopardy!

... with Kelly starting at $400 Clint Eastwood Movie Quotes. Deena finds the first Daily Double under $1600 in A Green Category. With less than $2000 off of Vik's lead, Deena bets triple that. The clue: this island nation off Senegal has no green in its flag, but does have the Portuguese word for it in its name. "What is, um, Cape Verde?" Right for $12,800! Vik finds the second Daily Double under $1600 The Famous Mr. Ted. Now HE is behind by $2000. Vik bets... that much. All he has to do is give the last name of Dr. Seuss, a famous Mr. Ted. "What is Geisel?" Right for $14,000 to tie Deena at the end of regulation. Kelly's still in it himself with $7800.

Final Jeopardy! in "Sports History": in a famous incident, it's the school at which William Webb Ellis disregarded the rules in 1823. Correct question: What is Rugby? He picked up a soccer ball and ran with it.

Kelly is right, but wagers nothing. Vik is also right, going all-in to win with $28,000, giving him a two-day total of $51,201.

The Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS (markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker
Here it comes! And by "it", we mean Hilary Ross, John Stevenson II, Cathrine Washington, and Maria Balcos. They come on down to see an LCD HDTV worth $2999. It goes to John, who plays Squeeze Play for a trip to the Caribbean. The setup: 85246. He takes the 2 out, and instead of going back to Boston, he's going to St. Lucia!

Cathrine may also go to the Caribbean, because she won a kayak in round 2. She can strap that kayak onto a new Jeep Wrangler should she win the Card Game. Her margin of error: $1000. She draws her way to $18,000. Actual retail price: $19,850. Should've taken a couple more cards.

Marie Vairo moves into Cathrine's spot, and quickly moves out, winning a chandelier. And speaking of things that drop from the ceiling, it's time for PLINKO! After winning chips from Bob, a nacho cheese maker, and an espresso maker, she drops one in the $10,000... one in the $500... and another one in the $10,000! That's all the winning she'll do, because Cathrine is going to the Showcase.

Who will go with her? Petty Officer 1st Class Patrick Emery of the United States Navy moves into Marie's spot. And moves out to the tune of a keyboard and a $500 roll for an on-the-nose bid of $900. Let's play Bullseye for a golf cart and golf equipment. The products: Bayer back and body medicine, Jif extra crunchy, Dole pineapple slices, Clorox cleaner, and Pringles. He takes four peanut butters, $2.99 a pop... Bullseye!

A baker's rack goes to Maria as she tries her hand at the Money Game for a Ford Focus. The numbers in play: 71, 65, 80, 18, 40, 17, 90, 19, 35. Middle number is 2. first up, 17. The Front! After getting $235 banked, she finds the back under 35!

Ian "Welcome to" Sollenberger steals Hilary's last chance at a stage game with camping equipment. He plays Step Up with a model ship, a dinette, a popcorn cart, and a motorcycle. Ian goes to the cart first at $2070 and then steps up to the motorcycle at $3064. That's worth $500... and that's where he'll stop. Good thing, too. The remaining two prizes were much less. But it's Patrick who'll take on the Showcase...

First up, a living room with new carpeting, Arthur Murray dance lessons, and appropriately a CD jukebox. Top winner Patrick passes to Cathrine, who bids $14,750. Patrick gets... the Surly Spa, where Shane gets four gold bars, a gas range, and a Pontiac Grand Prix. The PO bids $19,000. Actual price: $26,557. A difference of $7557. Cathrine's actual price: $15,582! She wins the Showcase with $17,377, but the earlier Plinko showing makes Marie the big winner today with $21,697.

Stats: 1-4-1, $84,929

Trato Hecho by Gordon Pepper, GSNN

Air time:  Noon ET/11a CT on Univision
Host: Guillermo Huesca
We start with Estemira the gypsy woman and Luis the multi-athleteas they get to pick some dominoes. At stake - a dining room set, a barbecue with a Lobster gram and a lawn mower worth $1,626. Luis picks Domino #2, Estemira selects Domino #2, and Guillermo offers both of them a bailout in the form of the small box. Neither of them want it and they both give up a pair of small watches worth $600. The tile that neither of them picked - the bad tile, so they both have something nice. Luis gets the Big Box, which is a mini-statue and a beauty cabinet worth $1,204. That's nice, but not as nice as what Mira has - the $1,600 worth of goodies!

Jessica is a present and all gift-wrapped for Guillermo. Guillermo is willing to give her 450 liras - and $1 for every lira ($450) or the curtain. Jessica wants the $450, which she gets, but what was waiting for her behind the curtain was also full of trimming, so to speak - a trip to the Chasco Barber Shop! Jessica is very happy with her $450.

Eliseo the Pirate, Lisa the Jester and Roberto the Playing card all get to play the next game. Curtain #3 is Eliseo's, but he can give it back for $400. Eliseo gets the money, and gives up a washer/dryer worth $1,098. Lisa can either take the VItacilina or $400. She doesn't want the $00 and instead wants the Vitacilina, where inside of it is $800! She doubled up her money - what will Roberto do with his $400? Will he spend it for the small box? No he won't, and he doesn't get the latest in Chasco Shampoo.

We go back to Estemira and Luis who rejoin us for the Gran Trato. Estemira wants door #3 while Luis wants door #2. We first start with Door #1, where we see a nice living room set worth $2,181. Who has the Gran Trato? It's not Estemira, who walks off with $700. It's Luis, who gets a trip to Cancun and some nice kitchen appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher and stove) for a Gran Trato of $5,027! Luis is very happy. We'll see tomorrow if we can make someone else very happy.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Host: Meredith Vieira
Yesterday, Lori Fountain (Atco, NJ) reached $16,000. With the Phone-a-Friend still at hand, how will she do today?

It is mentioned that Lori is one of the 148 or so people who can say that they lost to Ken Jennings on Jeopardy!. To be specific, she was in Ken's 19th game (aired 6/28/04; credit to http://members.aol.com/tdciago/jeoparchive/ for this info). She got $2,000 from that appearance (she finished 2nd on that episode), but now, she has a chance to lock in $25,000 with this...

The alamo, which lends its name to the famous San Antonio battle site, is what type of tree?
A: Pine
B: Maple
C: Cottonwood
D: Hickory

Lori decides to call her brother Dan, who is sure that it's C. So she goes with that... and she has $25,000! On to $50,000...

In November 2004, who became the first female singer to have an album certified 20 times platinum?
A: Shania Twain
B: Madonna
C: Britney Spears
D: Alanis Morissette

Lori switches it out. After finding out that it was A, in comes this...

What is the only type of fish's fin that is featured on a Pepperidge Farm Goldfish cracker?
A: Caudal fin
B: Dorsal fin
C: Ventral fin
D: Pectoral fin

She has a free guess at this point, so she goes ahead and guesses A... and she's right! Next level, $100,000...

The nursery rhyme "Jack and Jill" has a second verse in which Jack tries to mend his head with what?
A: Spun wool and butter
B: Sugar and cotton flax
C: Fishing hooks and twine
D: Vinegar and brown paper

Lori has a small inkling that it's A, but she's not confident enough, so she walks with $50,000. It turns out that it was D, so she did the right thing!

Next up is Chris Kazlau (Washington Township, NJ). He happens to be a fan of multiple-choice questions. Good thing he chose to try out for this, then. Anyway, one time, in a statewide math competition in high school, Chris made random choices for half the test (due to lack of time), and yet, he won! Hopefully, he'll have just as much luck here, as he starts by knowing that someone who remains composed under pressure is commonly said to be "calm, cool, and collected" (though I bet some would need to be heavily medicated to become composed under pressure). Chris breezes through the lower tier and most of the middle tier, then reaches this for $25,000...

The vestibular system, which sends impulses to the brain, primarily controls a human's sense of what?
A: Musical pitch
B: Temperature
C: Balance
D: Taste

Chris asks the audience. 55% of the studio audience goes with C, and 55% of the AIM users go with C as well. But Chris doesn't seem confident enough about it, so he uses the 50:50, leaving A and C. Still apparently not confident enough, he then calls his wife, Michelle, who is absolutely sure that it's C. Now he goes for it, locking in C... and he has $25,000! Now, for the $50,000 question...

What hit Carpenters song was originally written as background for a TV bank commercial?
A: Close to You
B: We've Only Just Begun
C: Rainy Days and Mondays
D: Top of the World

Chris thinks it's C, but he's not sure enough, so he switches out. Turns out it was B, so that was a good move, as he now faces this...

In 1975, what daytime soap opera became the first to begin broadcasting hourlong episodes?
A: Another World
B: General Hospital
C: One Life to Live
D: As the World Turns

With nothing to lose at this point, Chris guesses D... but it's A! Well, at least he has $25,000!

That's all for today. We'll see if someone can do better tomorrow.
