Brooks
(Debbie, James, Nathan, Cecil, Mike); $20,000 |
|
Mercado
(Romeo, Jocelyn, Eric, Abigail, Rey) |
Another
bounce-around. We'll see the Letzers later. Round
1: one thing about a vacation that costs the most money (5).
Romeo gets #3, food. Debbie gets #2, airfare. The hotel
room is #1 for James. Gas and souvenirs round it out for
the Brooks with 97.
Round 2:
something of yours that you swear is possessed (full
board). James gets #3, dog (or pet). Nathan's car is
scary possessed for #2. The house is possessed for #4.
The Mercados try to steal with the refrigerator. It'll
shoot ice at you... Not there, as the Brooks go to 131.
Number one: children. Other answer: computer, myself,
cell phone, spouse.
Double Round:
a college a good football player would go to (full
board). Nathan hits the top with Notre Dame, while Eric
knocks out 5, USC. UCLA, Michigan, Miami, and the Noles
of Florida State give the Brooks 269.
Triple Round:
a country that seems to tell other countries what to do
(4). Cecil gets #1, the US. France and Iraq are also
there, but now it's on the Mercados, who try Japan. Not
there! The Brooks family take it, 554-0. Other answer:
Russia.
Siblings Debbie
& Cecil try for the Fast Money this time, but only
manage 160 for $800, $20,800 for two days. |

Bill
MacDonald
(attorney from Bonita Springs, FL); $75,399, four
days |
|
Beth Doner
(homemaker from Dearborn, MI) |
|
Vik Vaz
(medical student from Austin, TX) |
Will this be the
day that Bill makes six digits? Bill starts off his
fourth defense with $200 A Proverbial Mess, finding the
Daily Double, a video under $600 Awards & Honors. He's
got $1200 and third place. He'll bet $900 on this clue,
delivered by Cheryl: "This is the Emmy Award that this
famous woman won in 1962 for giving a memorable tour of
her home." "Who is Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis?" Right
for $2100. And what we have here is a match between his
$3900 and Beth's $6800. She's really pouring the
pressure. Meanwhile, Vik, still in it with $3800, starts
off Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400
South American History, finding the Daily Double under
the $2000 level. With $5800, he bets $5000 on the person
who beat Javier Perez de Cuellar for the presidency in
1995. "Who is Alberto Fujimori?" Got it for $10,800.
Second Daily Double... next clue under $1200 Take a
Michigander at This. Vik fronts $3000 on the
Kalamazoo-born author of "So Big". "Who is Willa Cather?"
Nope, it was Edna Ferber, as Vik goes to second with
$7800. We run out of time in the middle of this one.
Bill has $11,100. Beth, $11,600. Vik, $14,200. This can
go to anyone.
Final Jeopardy!
in "Heraldic Symbols": dating from the second
half of the 15th Century, the Tudor rose was petals of
these 2 colors. Correct question: What are red and
white?
Bill gets it
right, but only wagers $5701. Beth is right... and she
bets $11,200. It's on Vik... Right... Wager... Enough.
Vik returns tomorrow with $23,201. Bill leaves with
$76,399. |

We're back from the
Thanksgiving break, and today at 7800, we get to meet
Brandi's equally-as-charming husband Dean. Hi, Dean!
Okay, let's get into the game action...
We start with Tania
Williams, Jeffrey "Li'l Jon's" Krohnke, Lt. Bradley
"Just Call Me Brad" Waltermire, Angela Brown, and a spa.
Jeffrey, of Schleswig, IA, gets the spa and a chance at
a brass bed with mattress playing Pushover. The lineup:
836991570. He pushes to $3699... And nighty-night he
goes!
Angela gets on
stage thanks to a Playstation PSTwo package with two
controllers, two memory cards, two Eye-Toys, and 13
games. Total cost: $675. Winner: Angela, who gets to see
if she can't buy any more games with $10,000 on the
Punchboard somewhere. Winning a CD rack, a pair of
binoculars, and a 3-in-1 breakfast maker, she punches
out $50, then $500, then $500 again... with a second
chance! So she's guaranteed a return here... but only of
another $100. So that's $600 for her. Cool!
Brad gets a
swivel chair in round 3 and a chance to play for a 2006
Chevrolet Malibu. It's not $32,683. We're doing the One
Away thing here. He starts up with $23,592... One
honk... Two honks... Three honks... Four... That's it.
One is wrong. He changes it to $21,592. Wrong. It's
$23,572. As for the Showcase, it's Angela who spins her
way to victory.
Paula Morici
scuttles on down for a drum kit, the scuttles on up from
NYC to play for a home gym and a grandfather clock. The
1 Right Price: $2325. She goes for the clock. She's a
winner!
Tania wins round
5 with a set of fashionable luggage. She checks out
Checkout for a dining room group with dinnerware. She
prices Bayer aspirin, David sunflower seeds, Goldfish
crackers, Super Poligrip, and Citracal all at $18.99.
Actual prices? $2.91... Off by less than a buck.
A dishwasher is
on the line, as newcomer Kristina "Hot and Spicy" Kury
wins it and a chance at a Ford Focus playing, say it
with me now... THAT'S TOO MUCH! Kristina thinks $19,120
is Too Much!, and That's Too Right! And Kristina's also
Too on the way to the Showcase.
First up, little
known investments. We have Smith Blarney, based in
Ireland, Croppenheimer Funds, based in a greenhouse, and
Charles Swab, based on a sailboat. Top winner Kristina
passes to Angela, who bids $22,000. Now we get the
Beauties' vacation photos, along with a portable DVD
player, a travel trailer, and a Mediterranean cruise!
Kristina bids $15,000. Actual price: $23,286, a
difference of $8286. Actual price of Angela's package:
$37,329. Kristina is your big winner with $42,340. |

The Thanksgiving
Turkeys are all gone - but there could be a Super Pollo
Chasco or 2 left as Leftovers. Hopefully we won't find
it, but we do find the mysterious Llerona, who could
give you a new refrigerator worth $1,499. We have 3
boxes - and the fridge (along with pictured of Llerona's
sons) is hiding under one of them. Ricky the Policeman
wants Door #3 and Esmeranda the beauty Queen wants box
#3. Ricky and Esmerelda are both given a $300 buyout
offer, but neither of them want it. Esmerelda, behind
Box #3 gets a DVD played with a DVD of the movie
'Selena' for a total of $499. Behind Box #2...a big fake
tin diamond Chasco. The sons of Llerona today were under
Box #1, and neither of them find it - nor do they find
the refrigerator.
We go to Alphabet City with Magdo, who is wearing every
letter of the alphabet. He's not picking letters though
- he's picking colors. He can pick the red or blue
folder, and the one he doesn't want goes to Miguel the
walking infirmary. Magdo selects Red, so Miguel gets
blue. Magdo can swap out his folder for Curtain #2, but
he doesn't want to - and he gives up professional tools
and a cabinet worth $1,063. Miguel can get rid of his
folder for the Box, but he also wants it, giving up a
Trip to Las Vegas and a $600 Certificate of gas worth a
total of $1,100. What do they win? Magdo gets a check
worth $100 - as does Miguel. No one is selecting
accurately today.
Well, either Umberto or Rosendo will win something,
because whoever comes closer to pricing Vitacilina will
win $500. Rosendo says $2.00. Umberto says $2.59. The
price is $2.49 and Umberto wins another $500. Rosendo
has $50, but he can trade it for the coupon in
Guillermo's pocket. Of course he's going to trade and he
gets a $300 certificate to Buca's Restaurant. Does
Umberto want to trade the $550 for the curtain? He does,
despite the audience yelling at him not to. The audience
is...wrong, as Umberto wins a nice sofa worth $999.
Umberto can return it right back for a shot at the Gran
Trato, which he does. Esmeranda joins him as we go to
the 3 doors. Umberto selects #3 and Esmeranda selects
#2. Rosendo says that he would have selected #1, but
he's not involved in the deal. Esmeranda is, and she
walks off with $750. Umberto gets a refrigerator,
dishwasher and sewing machine worth $2,464, but Rosendo
was absolutely right, for behind Door #1 was a trip to
Mexico and a new bedroom set worth a total of $5,061. No
one gets it, and Rosendo is still screaming about it. If
only he was 49 cents closer to the Vitacilina..... |
