Family Feud by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or familyfeud.com
Host: Richard Karn
Letzer (Aidan, Thad, Devin, Rivata, Briana); $20,720, two days
Holland (Nicholas, Renee, Margaret, Richelle, Steve)

What better way to spend Thanksgiving than gathering round your Family... Feud. Round 1: a way you wish your spouse was more like your dog (6). Nicholas gets quiet out under the buzzer for 6. Listens better is number one for Aidan, though. The rest of the champs get loyal and loving. The challengers try to steal with "low maintenance"... Not there and the Letzers get 73. Other answers: happy, begs.

Round 2: an exercise you haven't done since high school gym class (6). Thad gets #4, situps. Devin gets pull-ups for 6. Rivata gets the mile run for 5. Thad gets #1, jumping jacks. Devin also tries pushups for 3. The Hollands try to steal it with "stretching"... Not there, and the Letzers have 130. Other answer: rope climbing (said... by Richard).

Double Round: something that starts with the word "nuclear" (full board). Devin's power beats Margaret's physics, 3 to 6. Rivata bombs 2 with a nuclear weapon. Aidan starts a nuclear war at 4. But that's it. The Hollands try a nuclear bomb... Boom! Number one! Good for 74. Other answer: nuclear medicine (said).

Triple Round: besides a regular Sunday, an occasion when you might go to church (4). Richelle gets Easter at 3, while Rivata beats her out with Christmas at 2. Aidan gets #1, a wedding. Thad gets the sweep with a funeral, giving the Letzers their third game, 385-74.

Aidan & Rivata took the Fast Money before... Why not again? Thad gets one goose for 75. Rivata brings them up to 131 for $655, a three-day take of $21,375.

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Bill MacDonald (attorney from Bonita Springs, FL); $23,399, two days
Ben Davis (investment specialist from Ft. Mitchell, KY)
Wendy Stancer (database administrator from Walnut Creek, CA)

Yesterday was a little more challenging for Bill the champ, so what happens when Joe, Ryan, Gordon, Jason, and myself are watching? Absolutely nothing that wouldn't happen if we weren't there :)

So we're back from lunch, and Bill starts it off with $200 That Funky Music (other categories included Play and Dwight Boy). At the TV time out, Bill is storming into the lead with $5600 to Ben's $400 and Wendy's $1000. I guess Jason being there is helping his game.

Bill drops a bit when he finds the Daily Double, $1000 Folk Etymology. "I've always wanted to say this. Let's make it a true Daily Double." For $9600 or nothing... to get this word for a smelly varmint, we anglicized the French for "feline that eats poultry." "What is a polecat?" Right for $9600! He ends with $200 less, $9400, while Wendy has $3400. Ben, still in it with $2600, gets to start Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 Tennessee for Yourself., finding the Daily Double under $1600. In a distant second with $7000, he fronts $4000 on a writer whose corpse was returned to his roots in Henning, TN. "Who is Shelby Foote?" Nope. Roots referred to Alex Haley, bringing him down to $3000. Second Daily Double is under $1200 Opera. Bill bets $2000 on a Richard Strauss opera where the princess sends THIS to her cavalier. "What is a rose?" That'll do it for $22,200, where he ends the round. Ben has $2200, while Wendy has $7000. Right now, Bill is uncatchable

Final Jeopardy! in "Historic Names": in 2005, the 700th anniversary of his execution, his 5-foot sword was displayed in New York as part of a Tartan Day celebration. Correct question: Who was William Wallace?

All three are right on the money, but it's all about Bill, who wins it with $30,399, a three-day total of $53,798.

Trato Hecho by Gordon Pepper, GSNN

Air time:  Noon ET/11a CT on Univision
Host: Guillermo Huesca
It's time to Switch the Numbers again as we start this very special Thanksgiving episode. Elsa the Bride and Felipe the groom don't have much to be thankful for - they get none of the prizes right and only win $50. Guillermo offers them Curtain #2 which they take - and grab a nice sofa worth $1,259!

Diego the caballero is next to play, and his game is find the ball. Can he find the $500? Guillermo gives him the small box as a bail out, but he doesn't want it. He gives up a $300 certificate to Benihana's and he wins...only $5. Awww.

It's appropriate that Catalina the pirate woman gets the next deal - she has the Trato Hecho treasure chest. She can trade it for the curtain, but she doesn't want to. Said curtain goes to Sergio, but he takes $300 instead. He should have gone for the curtain, where a washer/dryer worth $798. The chest is still awaiting Catalina, but she can trade it for Curtain #2. She doesn't want the curtain, and this time, she passes up The Bachelor Chasco, complete with fake bouquet of flowers. Catalina can find all the flowers that she wants as she's going to Palm Springs! That, and a $600 certificate worth of gas, is a nice deal worth $1,485!

But it's time for the Gran Trato, and Catalina would rather go to Palm Springs. The Bride and Groom decide to go for it, as does Sergio. The couple wants door #1 and Sergio wants Door #3. We see Door...#1 first, and the couple traded down to $800. Sergio trades up, as he gets a lawn mower and storage shed worth $2,500m but no one trades up to a new kitchen and $1,000 certificate to Kitchen Liquidator. That Gran Trato is worth $5,097 which no one to grateful to have. Tune in tomorrow to see if we can have some grateful people the day after Thanksgiving.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
It's Thursday, and the U.S. is celebrating Thanksgiving. So let's see if a lucky American can give thanks for a million dollars...

Starting things off today is Elissa Reineck (Ellicott City, MD). She became hooked on the show since sitting in the hot seat at Disney's Play It! attraction at Walt Disney World. There, she won a hat. Now, she has a chance to win more than that. And Elissa starts by knowing that salsa is usually labeled "mild," "medium" or "hot", depending on its spiciness (D was "Brad Pitt's Special Sauce"; I'm not touching that one). She breezes through the rest of the lower tier, as well as the $2,000 question, before getting to this for $4,000...

What famous D.C.-area landmark is appropriately featured on the back of the $5 bill?
A: Jefferson Memorial
B: Washington Monument
C: Lincoln Memorial
D: Pentagon building

Elissa needs some help, and the audience comes through, with 65% of the studio audience and 56% of the AOL/AIM users picking C. She goes with that... and she's right! Another question later, and she goes for $16,000 with this...

Invented by Vladimir Zworykin, the iconoscope and kinescope were precursors of what modern-day invention?
A: Television
B: Microwave oven
C: Photocopier
D: Satellite dish

The 50:50 leaves A and C. Not content yet, Elissa then calls a friend of her husband's, Doug, who is sure that it's A. So, she goes with A... and she's right! Then, at the $25,000 level, she is asked what famous novel takes place during a single day, June 16, 1904. She doesn't know that it's Ulysses, so she walks. But hey, $16,000 is not bad at all!

Larry Baskind (Cortlandt, NY) gets the next shot in the hot seat, and he has been known to kids as "the Silly Doctor". And these kids actually like being visited by this pediatrician. Why? Because he makes some silly noises during check-ups, which apparently actually help to keep the kids from being upset. Sounds like a good idea to me. Anyway, Larry starts by knowing that "shock jock" is a common term for an opinionated and inflammatory radio personality (though for some, childish egomaniac also works). Along the way through the lower tier, Larry has to ask the audience at the $300 level to determine what food company coined the name "Tater Tots" in 1953 (Ore-Ida; said by 95% of studio and 80% of AIM). After reaching $1,000, he faces this for $2,000...

In 2005, NASA unveiled a $104 billion plan to send man back to what celestial body's surface by the year 2018?
A: Venus
B: The moon
C: Mars
D: Mercury

Larry figures that it's C, so he goes with it... but he must have missed the word "back"! It's B! Ouch. That mistake didn't cost him anything, but it does send him home with $1,000.

Next up is Jeff Donn (White Plains, NY). He tends to not have much luck. He gives the following example of this: He was one of 50 people who entered a raffle, and he was the only one to not win anything. Oh my. Hopefully, he'll have at least some good luck here. Jeff starts by knowing that in humans, pregnancy is usually divided into 3 periods called trimesters. Eventually, he has this for $500...

By definition, wanderlust is an insatiable impulse to do what?
A: Eat
B: Travel
C: Sleep
D: Write

Jeff asks the audience. 95% of the studio audience and 51% of the AIM users go with B. Jeff agrees... and they're right!

There's the horn. Jeff will attempt to complete the lower tier, then hopefully go farther up the Millionaire ladder, tomorrow.
