Family Feud by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check local listings or familyfeud.com
Host: John O'Hurley
Cain (Kenny, Katrice, Darrell, Bridget, Albert) Christopher (Joe, Wyatt, Marianne, Beth, Carrie); $41,650, four games

One game separates the Christophers from immortality. Let's see how it goes down.

Round 1: if you were a seven foot tall man, a question you'd get tired of hearing (5). Joe asks "How's the weather up there?" for #2. Kenny asks about basketball for #3. Wyatt gets the big one, "How tall are you?" They also ask "How'd you get so tall?" The Cains ask how big are your shoes? Not good enough for the 87, as the Christophers hold onto it. Other answer: Can you get that?

Round 2: the best way to get a bill collector off your back (6). Wyatt gets #3, change your phone number, while Katrice gets #4, hang up. Marianne gets the money answer, pay the bill. You can also move. The Cains try to steal again with promise to pay the bill... Nope. Christophers up to 157. Other answers: don't answer/screen, disconnect phone.

Double: something that goes up that you hope comes down (full board). Marianne gets #2, an airplane. Joe comes up with the money answer, gas prices. The Cains hope to steal with elevator... Got it and the 74. Other answers: interest rates, hot temperature, balloon.

Triple: something that could kill you with one bite (4). Bridget gets the top one with a snake. Left on the board... Spiders, sharks, and ... a lion? The Christophers hope so for the fifth win... Christophers are five-timers, 427-74!

Carrie and Wyatt team up for 133 for $665, giving them $42,315 for five games. Hopefully we'll see them later on down the road.

Host: Alex Trebek

Chris Mazurek
Columbia, MO
assistant professor
$76,597, four days

Liz Channon
Newport News, VA
copy editor

Jim Spillman
Gloucester, MA
purchasing manager

Can Chris become the first five-time champ in recent history with today's match, or will Jim and Liz play spoiler?

He starts with $200 "Super" Words. Everyone's stumped on "Superboy", but it doesn't stop Chris, who leads at the TV time out with an astonishing $5800 to Liz's $600 and Jim's $400.

Jim finds the Daily Double under $600 Out West. He bets the max of $1000 on this: DH Houston patented a roll film camera in 1881 & said he came up with this grand name to honor his state, North Dakota. "What is a Brownie?" Close, it was Kodak, leaving him $400 in the red. He gets out, but with $1600 to Liz's $2200 and Chris's $9400, it's Jim who starts Double Jeopardy!...

…  with $400 You Must Be an "Egg"head, as Jim finds the first Daily Double under $1200. He bets $2400 on this: the sounding of the notes in a chord one after another in rapid succession. "What is an arpeggio?" Right for $6800! Jim also finds the second Daily Double under $1600 Next Letter After.... He bets $4500 on this: ... in the Morse code alphabet. "What is T?" You have the lead with $12,900! He ends this round with that, while Chris is hot on his tail with $12,600. Liz also in the thick of it with $11,400.

Quick reminder: next week is Celebrity Jeopardy! from Radio City Music Hall.

Final Jeopardy! in "Phrases in American History": this phrase linking 2 entities was in Jefferson's 1802 letter to the Danbury Baptists, elaborating on the 1st Amendment. Correct question: what is "the separation of church and state"?

Liz... right. Chris... right and doubling. Jim... right... and enough. Jim's your spoiler champ with $25,550. Chris leaves with $78,597.

The Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS
Host: Bob Barker

Leanne Lower, Elizabeth Holmes, Chelsea Conard, and Law Zalbriskie have the calldown rights as they bid on a swing. It goes for $2995... to Leanne. Now can she win a Saturn Sky in Lucky Seven? First number... 2 She guesses 2... Second number is 6. That's $4. Next guess.. 5... Third number is 7. She's left with a buck. Next guess... 4... 8. She will not be winning it all today.

San Diego resident Eli Majors is down and up thanks to a $725 set of tennis equipment. Now he gets to Make His Move for a candlestick phone, a desk/chair... and a trip to San Diego. He should be a third of the way there, then. The board is 2 6 7 4 8 0 4 9 8. Sure enough, he is, as he gets $2674 right for the trip. He sets the phone at $80 and the desk/chair at $498... and he's right! He's going home! Whee!

Law gets a $2595 gas pump replica. Now he plays for an entertainment center with HDTV. The game is (New) Balance Game, and the bags are $1000, $2000, $4000, and $483. We'll give him the $483. He chooses the $1000 and the $4000.... and it's too light. The set was $6483. We needed more girth as it were.

The homeward bound Eli is also Showcase-bound. How about Charles Jackson, Jr., who's down and up with a $1299 coffee machine (thanks to a bid given directly by his wife). Now he gets a shot at a CD jukebox. Let's check out Check-Out. The products: Hot Pockets, Pringles potato crisps, Fiji water, Westbrae Natural salad beans, and Nature Valley granola bars. His bids: $2.29, 59c, $2.50, $1, and $4. Actual prices: $2.49, 79c, $1.59, 99c, and $3.29. That's a buck 23 off, giving him (and Wanda) the win.

Air bikes are next, and for $1399 for both of them, they go to Elizabeth. Now can she win a Ford Focus, a drink dispenser, a CD player, an ice cream sphere, and a rechargeable toothbrush? The game is Switcheroo, and the board...

Car $167   5
Drink dispenser     0
CD player     8
Ice cream maker     9
Electric toothbrush     7

Numbers missing... 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. She goes 3, 4, 5, 1, 2. She gets... 2 right. She elects to switch to 3, 4, 5, 2, and 1. She has the drink dispenser right ($40)... the ice cream maker ($29)... and the car ($16,735)!

Joseph Sarkisian spoils Chelsea's day, as he wins an $899 area rug. Can he win a drum set with cymbals and a grandfather clock? We're at Barker's Bargain Bar right now. The drum set is marked at $1587. The clock is marked at $2450. He goes with the drum set. The clock is discounted $700 from $3150. The drums are actually $2587 for the win!

Showcase time as Elizabeth wins the Showdown. First up, Phire and Gaby reenact Rocky to the tune of a day bed with sleep set, a hot tub, and a Pontiac G6. Elizabeth bids $24,500. Eli gets a grill, a dining room with dinnerware & stemware, and a trip to Buenos Aires. Eli bids $16,435. Actual price... $22,603, a difference of $6168. Actual price of Elizabeth's Showcase... $25,274. She wins with $43,477.

Stats: 4-2, $68,019

First up in Dinero Rápido is Toño, who draws from the table of fortune... pointage! Toño gets 56. Mariba gets up to 146. Extra points wouldn't do any good anyway, as they get another $500, giving the family $6000 for three days.

Patrulla 81 can steal with listening to the radio... Not there! Mojado wins, 328-0. Other answers: patrol, blow whistles.

In Dinero Rápido, Luis and Juan get the 200 for $10,000 for their charity.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check local listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
It's a new month, and again, we start with someone new in the hot seat. This time, it's Philip Blanda (Brooklyn, NY). He works at Grand Central, directing people to the right trains. After some praise for New York, Philip starts by knowing that an actor who receives a "callback" has been asked to once again audition for a role. He sweeps the lower tier, then sees this...

[$2,000]
Which of these presidential-sounding movies is not actually about a U.S. president?
A: Jefferson in Paris
B: The Truman Show
C: Young Mr. Lincoln
D: Nixon

Philip asks the audience, and a whopping 94% says B. He trusts them... and they're right! Moving on...

[$4,000]
In 1982, what branch of the U.S. armed services introduced the appropriate recruiting slogan "Aim High"?
A: Army
B: Navy
C: Air Force
D: Marines

The 50:50 leaves C and D. Philip says C... and he's right! Another question later, and he has this to ponder...

[$16,000]
In a May 2006 referendum, what small Eastern European country voted to declare itself independent of Serbia?
A: Bosnia-Hercegovina
B: Croatia
C: Macedonia
D: Montenegro

Philip ponders this for a bit, then decides to call a co-worker, Frank. Frank's first thought was D. Philip was thinking that as well, so he goes with that... and it's D! One question left in the middle tier...

[$25,000]
Which of these is not currently a suffix that can be used in Internet domain names?
A: .info
B: .name
C: .news
D: .biz

Philip says he's done. He didn't know what it is (it's C), so he's taking the $16,000!

Next up is Katie Furlong (Louisville, KY), a waitress. She has a problem with how some people pronounce the name of her hometown. She says it's "lou-e-vle" (that's the best I could do in terms of putting the pronunciation in writing). With that out of the way, Katie starts by knowing that a sound effect usually associated with that made by a cash register is "Ka-ching!" (since "Slam-a-lam-a-ding-dong!" just seems too weird). She secures $1,000, and she is doing very well as she gets to this...

[$25,000]
When it runs out of names for tropical storms, the World Meteorological Organization assigns names based on what?
A: Greek alphabet
B: Roman numerals
C: Constellations
D: Ancient gods

Katie isn't sure about this one, so she asks the audience. 78% are thinking A. It's a good number, so she trusts them... and she has $25,000! On to the upper tier...

[$50,000]
The tiny African nation of Lesotho has the geographic distinction of being entirely contained within the borders of what other country?
A: Kenya
B: South Africa
C: Sudan
D: Tanzania

The 50:50 leaves A and B. Those were the 2 that she was thinking it could be, though, so Katie calls her father, Bill. However, he doesn't know. Well, it's a free guess, so Katie saves her Switch-the-Question lifeline, and goes with B... and she's right!

That will do it for now. We'll see if Katie can win even more money tomorrow.

Yo Momma by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  6p ET/5p CT on MTV
Host: Wilmer Valderrama
We continue the search for the best crackers in Manhattan. Today, it's Hell's Kitchen vs. Harlem.

First up, Sam in Hell's Kitchen checks out Bryan, Emilio, Holly, Mike, and Dee Dollars. After a heated freestyle, we get another battle from Bryan and Emilio.

Next up, Harlem, baby... They get young Fame, Lord, Billy Dee, Big Dre, Muffy, and Jokester. Billy Dee and Lord have the delivery to deliver another battle.

(C-Note: Notice Lord's shirt says "Look, I'm on Yo Momma". This will be relevant later)

Going to the final battle today are Emilio and Lord. First, some ammo. Emilio and Wil hit up Lord's place. A belt buckle, a Freddy Kruger mask, a Prince poster, and a silver medal for spooning. Remember, kids, spooning leads to forking. In Emilio's space... a Canal Street "That 70s Show" season 3 set, a dog encyclopedia, and Carlos (Emilio's brother) with a headshot.

The final battle ends with these two KO's...

Emilio: You see the shirt? Well, I tell your stepson the same thing every time he walks in on us. "Look, brother, I'm on yo momma!"
Lord: Your father was the first gay slave.

When they hit, they hit big. When they missed, they missed big... this battle and the $1000 that goes with it goes to... Emilio.
