Chapter 4-I've got sand in my shorts!

Last week, Green were recipients of the TEAMWORK puzzle piece and gave the "dreaded" (Thanks, J.D.) Samadhi to Gray. Inside, they got 4 sandbags for the next challenge. Will Gray's 4 sandbags put them to temple or will a win sends 1 of the 2 teams to sleep?

Chris knows how to define a temple mission as the show starts off. Johnathan says everyone is nervous and worried about this mission, and Julie says she's pretty nervous when the Samadhi was chosen from the Green Team. Over in the confessional cam, John says Gray can be the strong team to win. But who's the strongest in this mission? They head to J.D. for today's mission.

TODAY'S CHALLENGE: ROW, ROW, ROW...YOUR RAFT?
The winning team has the power to decide which 2 if they get by this mission: First, they'll have 30 seconds to place sandbags to any colored triangle. Once time is up, they'll load it onto the raft of their own color, and pull the rafts across the lake. Once they get back to shore, only 1 team will win it. For now, they must conquer the first part, and they have 30 seconds starting...NOW! They each put sandbags on any color, and despite Gray's 4, they were a lot on Gray & Blue despite the alliance. Orange, Purple & Yellow are off, and so is Green & Red. but Purple maintains the lead with Orange 2nd. Gray finally comes off-shore, but Purple is still leading the pack...and gets the flag first. Yellow grabs a flag as well, and overtakes Orange for 2nd, but by much strength, Purple takes a big lead, but hold up, Red is about to take an upset for the win...and it's Purple that wins today's challenge. And with that, they get a victory speech for their reward. The other players get the reaction on what happened during the mission. Meanwhile, John wants to have a talk with Daniela and Mike in the cabins.

The players go back to meet J.D. and reminds us that if one gets eliminated, they'll send 1 piece to any team worth a note on it. So, whom did Purple choose for temple? Despite their alliance, it's...Gray & Blue! That means they have 2 hours to head for the Temple of Fate. They pack their bags, grab pyramid pieces and get themselves ready for the Temple of Fate. Callie says Gray & Blue are the best friendship, Ameila says it's a 50/50 chance in this temple game, and Shea might want to watch out when he comes back. Now, let's go to the temple!

TEMPLE OF FATE
They'll write down elements, hand it to J.D., who puts it on a burning cauldron and watch both elements rise. They have 3 elements: WOOD, WATER & FIRE.
WOOD floats on WATER
FIRE burns WOOD
WATER puts out FIRE

2 points wins the game, and the losing team disappears for good. Let's get to it.

ROUND 1
GRAY=FIRE BLUE=WATER
Result: Water puts out the fire.
Advantage: Blue 1-0

ROUND 2
GRAY=WATER BLUE=FIRE
Result: Opposite difference than the last round.
Advantage: Gray 1-1

FINAL ROUND
GRAY=WATER BLUE=WOOD
Result: Wood floats on water.
Winner: Blue

That means Gray is gone and Blue is victorious with the other players. Next week, we'll flashback to the first episode of the show, so it'll be a repeat, but we'll be back in 2 weeks (or 3) with an all-new episode as Endurance: Tehachapi ends the day.
