Ali (Falasha, Ebony, Victoria, Cathy, Traci)
Reyes (Bernadette, Mary Lou, Dennis, Perry, Jeff); $715

Will the Alis make out like Muhammad Ali and knock the champs out? Round 1: the worst thing your child could come home with from school (6) Bernadette gets a bad grade for number one. Injury, illness, and suspension also make the board. The Alis go with lice to steal... Up there! They get the 59. Other answer: drugs.

Round 2: an occasion when lots of people kiss you (5). Mary Lou gets top of the board with a wedding. A birthday, New Year's Eve, and a family reunion also get kissed, but the Alis are hoping to make out with a funeral. Not there, as the Reyes get 78. Other answer: Christmas.

Double Round: something that starts with "American" (5). Victoria waves the flag for #1. They also get pie, but the champs want to steal with eagle... Not there. The Alis get 151. Other answers: American Idol, American Beauty, American cheese.

Triple Round: something you waste (4). Cathy gets #3, water. Traci gets #1, food. Money and time round it out for the sweep and win, 442-78

Traci & Falasha emote their way to $20,000 in only seven questions.

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Dominic Owen-Williams (office clerk orig. from Jamaica, now living in Toronto); $2800
Steve O'Connor (communications consultant from Naperville, IL)
Katie Miltich (attorney from Lancaster, PA)

Dominic is back to defend his staggering total of $2800. You read right. Or if you're looking through Dominic's (and to a certain extent, Alex's) eyes.. about four grand. And he gets to keep all of that. He starts with $200 Familiar Phrases. Steve returns to the category with the lead, and finds the Daily Double under $1000. He'll just go level on the "handwriting on the wall" from the Old Testament. "What is... Exodus.." Nope, it was Daniel, and Steve is left with $1200. At the end of the round, he loses the lead to Katie, but is still formidable, $4800 to her $5200. Dominic, with $1000, leads off Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 World War I. Katie finds the Daily Double under $1600 Cats & Dogs. Now $400 behind, she bets $800 on the type of spaniel Dash, Queen Victoria's pet, was. "What is a cavalier King Charles?" Got it all in there for $8000. Last category in play is A World of "P"oets, and the $800 clue belongs to Steve. He's leading by $4000 this time, as he fronts $2000. The clue: when Alexander the Great burned Thebes to the ground, the only house spared was that of this great lyric poet. "Agh... I don't know." Who is Pindar, as Steve is still in the lead with $12,000. He'll end with that, and it's a two-man fight with Katie at $11,600. Dominic is still alive with $4600, but one wonders for how much longer.

Final Jeopardy! in "Americana", delivered by Kelly: in the '60s, to popularize a new system, the post office used ads of Ethel Merman singing this Disney music tune. Correct response: What is "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah"? (or alternatively, "Song of the South").

Zip codes were introduced in 1963. Katie's right, but bungles the wager. A mistake that Steve capitalizes on. He wins today with $19,001. Dominic leaves with $3800.

The Price is Right by Travis Schario, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS (markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker
On this day in history at 7800:

The day got off to a sluggish start. Here's the quickie rundown of the first half. Contestant Elaine Wood picked the wrong box in 1/2 Off, after capturing a $2499 Tuff Stuff home gym in the Row. She also walked away with a stand mixer, a old timey phone, a laser measurer, and a chopper. Contestant Matthew Hughes struck out in four draws in 3 Strikes, not even lighting up one number in the price of a Ford Expedition XLT 4X2. He walked away with a $924 Best Home Furnishings sofa. Contestant Elizabeth Walsh was Coming when she should have been Going to win a $4195 Aquacat Catamaran. She got a collection of Barbie electronic toys in the row, valued at $706.

The second half didn't start any better. Contestant Alison Haslep captured a Craftsman riding mower, valued at $980, but missed Most Expensive by picking Vulcan his & her golf equipment over a Pulaski dinette set and American Tourister luggage (Pulaski, $2955, was the winner).

Then, things started to change...slightly. Contestant Ian McCormick, after capturing a Vocopro karaoke system ($739), played Dice Game for a Ford Mustang V6 Coupe Deluxe. His first roll, 1, called LOWER?? Yeah, Bob reacted the way we all did. He went thru the rules with him again, this time slower, forcing Ian to call higher than 1. Next rolls were 6 (Lower), 5 (Lower), and 2 (Higher). After that rough start, Ian won the car, valued at $23,124.

Things are definitely looking up. Contestant Carolyn Amose managed to claim a pair of Phat bicycles valued at $828, granting her the right to aim for the Bullseye, using Chips Ahoy, Jif peanut butter, David jalapeno sunflower seeds, Smucker's jam, and Dreamfield's elbow macaroni (the only product for which Rich mentioned the brand). First pick was way off the mark: 4 jams @ $3.35 for $13.40. Next two were 3 Jifs @ $2.99 for $8.97 and 6 seeds $1.09 for $6.54. Carolyn needed the hidden Bullseye, and found it under the seeds. She walked away with a Magnussen bedroom suit with a Supple-pedic sleep set, valued at $7369.

Showcases, HO! Alison and Matthew are your Top and Runner for today. Showcase #1, all about eating, gave us Eli's Cheesecake for a year, a Frigidaire range, an Apple G4 computer system, and a 7 night cruise of the Mediterranean. Alison's pass gives us Matthew's bid of $19,500.

Showcase #2 had us tagging along with the girls as they do some Do-It-Yourself chores. They offered a Hot Air Balloon trip in Scottsdale, Arizona, a trip to China, and a Chrysler Sebring convertible. Alison's bid: $20,500; a mere $18,596 away from the ARP of $39,096. Matthew's Showcase, $16,392 forced him over and Alison takes home $40,076 in loot.

STATS: 2/6; $75,568

Score by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  4:30p ET/3:30p CT on MTV
Host: Ryan Cabrera
La'aerial (22; New Haven, CT; singer); is very confident in her writing skills, came to CA on a Greyhound
Jazzalea (23; Redford, MI; in a band); talent show maven
Jarrett (25; LA, CA; model); likes to travel the world, is a footballer, "Step over, Lenny Kravitz."

He loves to go see new places, but the girls want him to see their place, and by that, we mean Cabo San Lucas. Jarrett's words: Jarrett, California, traveling, flowers. We've got eight hours...

La'aerial is thinking more piano groove for her song in the writing room. Meanwhile, Jazzalea thinks her song is more or less a cross between Christina Aguilera and Toni Braxton. La'aerial's notes: a cross between Lauryn Hill and Bill Withers. Again, Ryan has been reading up. Good to see that.

Four hours, you know what that means. *plays Switch? music* Jazzalea "wants to get Jarrett hot" while holding her own, while La'aerial continues to vibe out with the band. Meanwhile, Josh wears a paper with his name taped his chest. Ryan's notes on Jazzalea: really excited, has lots of energy. Not sure if she's there vocally.

While Ryan mocks La'aerial's vocals, we head to performance with Jarrett tucked away from view. I dig the throwback shirt (Yo! MTV Raps). First up, La'aerial is first with "Your Song". No, not Elton. Sorry. Very earthy, very soulful, pretty tough to beat. "She ain't messin' around!"

We'll see if Jazzalea ain't messin' around with "Jarrett, I'm Your Girl." Sounds more like a shout-and-whine fest, really. I think La'aerial might have this. "Jazzalea was off the hook!"

Okay, decision made, here are the girls. And here's Jarrett's decision... La'aerial's going to Mexico!

It's time for a midweek Escape...The Wednesday "Escape" on WOF!

The $1,000 Tossup is PERSON. Diane Viatric is from Polth, TX. She quickly solved MAN OF THE HOUR for $1,000. She is retired with 4 kids and 4 grandkids. Sally All is a former Miss New Jersey and a disabilities coordinator from Forked River, NJ. Billy Lowe is a hairstylist in Beverly Hills, CA originally from Macon, GA who is a trained pianist.

The $2,000 Tossup is ON THE MENU. Sally is on the board with LONDON BROIL. She has $2,000. And we add a trip to Fess Parker's Winery and Spa in Santa Barbara worth $7,400. She starts this round which is OCCUPATION. She misses a vowel...over to Billy. He solves ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT for $3,350. Everyone is on the board.

The jackpot round is sponsored by Eggland's Best Eggs. The category is THING....and it's a PRIZE PUZZLE. Billy starts. He misses...over to Diane. She hits and picks up the $1,000 Maui Jim Sunglasses gift tag. She misses a vowel. Over to Sally. She hits and picks up the Santa Barbara Trip. She misses the solve. Over to Billy who correctly solved EYE-POPPING SCENERY for $1,850. (Sally said EYE-CATCHING...) And you can see that in St. Lucia. It's a trip to Sandals resort with airfare by Air Jamaica worth $7,000. And if you have the SPIN ID of EB05291 you are off to the Caribbean. That round was worth $8,850 and he has $12,200 in cash and trip!

The mystery round prize is $10,000. The category is FUN AND GAMES...and Diane starts. She hits and picks up the $1,000 Cash/$1,000 Donation by AstraZeneca gift tag. (This is for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.) She controls the wheel for the entire round and solves EIGHT BALL IN THE CORNER POCKET for $4,200. With the gift tag, her total is $6,200.

The $3,000 Tossup is AROUND THE HOUSE. Sally is up to $5,000 with LAWN & LEAF BAGS. She starts this round which is PHRASE. She hits the $5,000 wedge and 2 T's...worth $10,000! She controls the wheel for the entire round and solves EVERYTHING IN MODERATION for $12,950. She has $17,950! And we have time for another puzzle...

...which is PLACE. Billy starts. He misses...over to Diane. She hits Lose A Turn...over to Sally. She misses the vowel...back to Billy. Final Spin Time, however...$1,400 a letter. I would think Sally, being a former Miss New Jersey would get this but Billy solved NEW JERSEY DINER for $4,000. He is going to St. Lucia and has a great 2nd place total worth $16,200. Diane leaves with $6,200. But Sally is our winner with $17,950...all cash!

Will Sally be crowned a bonus round winner? She lands on the A in CASH. Her category tonight is EVENT. With the normal 6 and her choices of HDGO we have:

_ O _ -
H _ N T _ N G

She screamed BOW HUNTING. I thought it was FOX HUNTING. But it was JOB HUNTING. And she lost $35,000. She leaves with $17,950 in cash!

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
Last time, we saw Gordon Purcell (Plymouth, MN) get $25,000. He won't leave with less, but will he leave with more?

Gordon already knows what he wants to do with what he has so far: Donate some to a charity, since his son, Jack, is autistic, then take him to Disney World. Let's see if he can win more, starting with this question worth $50,000...

How is the "S.O.S." distress call expressed in Morse code?
A: 3 dashes, 3 dots, 3 dashes
B: 3 dots, 3 dashes, 3 dots
C: Dash, 2 dots, dash
D: Dot, 2 dashes, dot

Gordon could use such a call, so he decides to call his friend, Mike, who says that it's B. Gordon makes B his final answer... and he's right! Then, at the $100,000 question, he isn't sure enough about what the Statue of Freedom, sitting on top of the U.S. Capitol Building dome, depicts (woman wearing helmet), so he switches it out for this...

What U.S. colony ratified the Constitution in 1790 only under the threat of being declared a foreign nation?
A: South Carolina
B: Georgia
C: Rhode Island
D: Pennsylvania

Gordon has one response for this: "Goodbye!" He decides to walk, and he'll be walking with a cool $50,000. By the way, the answer is C.

Next up is Peg Collins Legan (Oak Park, IL), who actually auditioned for this show on a whim. It was a "spur of the moment" thing for her, as she just tried out for it, and now, she has a chance to ascend to the million through 15 questions. The first of which asks what people whom "drive time" radio programming is geared towards are doing, and Peg knows that they're commuting to work (though they could be wishing they had iPods if they're forced to listen to a bad program). A couple of questions later, and this $500 question is up...

A classic ad icon, the Kool-Aid Man is traditionally what color?
A: Purple
B: Blue
C: Red
D: Orange

Peg asks the audience, and it's just the studio audience responding, as the AIM service is unavailable for this question. That being said, 85% picked C. Peg goes with them, and they're right! She then continues through another few questions, such as one which asks how potatoes are cooked if they're browned underneath a layer of cheese and breadcrumbs (au gratin), before getting to this one for $8,000...

Written by Doyle Brunson, the 1979 book "Super System" is considered the "bible" of what game?
A: Bridge
B: Poker
C: Chess
D: Golf

Peg decides to call her friend, John, but unfortunately, he doesn't get an answer in on time. So, Peg goes with the 50:50, which leaves B and D. She decides to take a guess and goes with B... and it's B! Then, at the next question, she doesn't know what Iraqi city faced a full-scale assault by U.S. troops days after Bush's reelection in 2004 (Fallujah), so she decides to walk, taking home $8,000.

Hoping to win some money now is Rebecca Stricklin (Cypress, TX). She happens to be expecting her third baby, and her family knows, but not her friends. Well, at least not when this episode was taped. Anyway, she starts by knowing that by definition, maternity leave is an extended absence from a job due to the birth of a child (of course she'd know). Rebecca then gets through some more questions, like one which asks what type of animal a shearling is (sheep), before getting to $2,000.

And there's the horn, ending another day. Rebecca will return to hopefully win more for the new kid tomorrow.
