Chapter 2-Pick Your
Pony!
Last time, 20 kids all
spent a night in seperate cabins on the Tehachapi
mountains 4000 ft. above sea level. The kids took a
challenge where they hung on to avoid the water
where only 3 guys & 3 girls took the plunge. Now
only 14 remain. Whose partners will they choose?
J.D. tells everyone to
come out of their cabins, and wants to be paired
into teams. Jezsie says she doesn't want to match
with Franke, but Shea wants to pair up with Amelia.
And guess what...They become the 1st offical team of
Endurance. Hooray! They get to choose a color. And
it's Blue. So the Blue
team is the first team fresh out of Endurance. But
as for the rest, J.D. says it's hard for them to
pick a teammate on their own. So as the kids flee to
the cabins, Jezsie tells us why she doesn't want to
pick Franke, while outside, the boys try & figure
out who wants to pick a girl. Issac wants to pair up
with Jezsie while Erica goes for Franke. Meanwhile
in the guys' cabin, They want to keep the picks they
way it is. Will that happen in today's challenge?
TODAY'S CHALLENGE: LOG
ON, LOG OFF
This challenge goes up
for Power. All kids will hang onto a log and keep
hanging for as long as possible until someone loses
their balance. The last one to lose the balance will
pick a teammate for his/her team, and the color they
want to pick. All kids are ready to get the log set
up, and...they're OFF! Kellie slipped early in the
opening seconds, and Daniela was knocked out later.
John hung in there for balance, but Franke didn't
hang on longer. There are now 9 left. Julie tried to
touch the log with another hand, but puts it down
not to cheat. Michael is out, and Julie & John were
out as well, too. Another one was gone and there are
5 left. Johnathan did a good job with keeping the
balance on the log, but Jeszie didn't and she is
gone. 1 girl remains and Johnathan is out. It's now
down to either Issac, Chris or Erica. Erica is gone
and then there were 2. Who was out? It was...Issac
and with that, Chris wins the challenge. According
to Julie, Chris really wants to win this game. But
Chris chose Callie as a partner, and he says she is
an all around player. He also chose the color
YELLOW as a team color.
So, the Yellow team is formed. Now, all Chris does
is to pick the rest. He choose Franke & Erica to be
on the
RED team. Franke was happy with
decision he made yesterday. They are the 2 tallest
players in this game. The
PURPLE team gets
picked by Johnathan & Daniela, who she says she
wanted to be with Michael. The
GRAY team also
chose John & Julie, and now there are 2 girls left.
The
ORANGE team chose Mike & Kylie and all
that's left are the
GREEN team of
Issac & Jeszie. So with that, they are now the
official teams of Endurance.
Back at the cabins,
Chris, an arch-rival and 2 other girls went into a
staring contest. But one guy left and a few more
joined in just to be happy. On the confessional-cam,
Daniela said Mike was the 1st pick, but wanted to
have John as a partner. Meanwhile, 2 men share the
top bunk bed, as they were happy about what the
selection was. Over by the lake, Issac & Jeszie hung
out for a chat about what happens with the first
mission.
Out of the cabins came
the players all decked out in their Endurance
T-shirts and J.D. says they'll hang on to them for
their time on the show. Over there are the 13
pyramid pieces and 1 was theirs to own. The blue
team came first and Shea chose Courage, because they
have the courage to win. The yellow team came next
and Chris chose Trust, because Trust is the best
quality in this game. The Red team came next for
their turn, and Franke chose Heart, because it
shares the same color as this team. The Purple team
is up and Daniela chose Perseverance, because
sometimes they get knocked down a lot the whole
game. Gray is up and Julie chose Commitment, because
they'll be here to 110% to win it. Orange is next up
and Kylie chose Knowledge, because they'll need the
brains to get here. And finally, the Green team
choosing Leadership, which J.D. says it's the key to
get all 13. But it's not about getting all 13 pieces
in all 13 challenges, right? WRONG! It's about the
Grand prize, which is: An 8-day expedition in the
rainforest of Costa Rica. Now that's a prize worth
playing for. J.D. officially tells us that the game
is on and tomorrow, they'll take their first test as
a team. As the kids head to the cabins for the first
challenge, we'll leave at that next time around. In
7 days, the first challenge is on as Pierre Kelly
says adios from Endurance: Tehachapi.
