Family Feud by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or familyfeud.com
Host: Richard Karn
Frazier (Christina, Brett, Vicki, Katherine, Steven)
Contreras (Raffie, Lucy, Annie, John, Aline); $730

Nickname du jour: the original Game Boy. Brett looks a lot of Ashton Kutcher, but will they do some punking on this Feud? Round 1: 100 women, what do you do when you discover there's a mouse in the house (6)? Raffie gets #5, call a mouse catcher. Christina sets traps for #1, though. Scream, get a cat, jump on a chair, and, as Brett put it, "get some food" round out the board, giving the challengers 99.

Round 2: an occupation where you have to touch your customers (6). Lucy gets top of the board with a doctor. The rest of the family get masseuse and hair dresser, but the Fraziers steal with manicurist for 179. Other answers: nurse, tailor/clothing.

Double Round: something that starts with the word "public" (full board). Annie gets number one, a restroom. Defender, transportation, and schools also make the survey. Can the Fraziers snatch the board with "public telephone?" Nope. The champs are on the board with 82. Other answers: library (said), Enemy.

Hey did you know there was a DVD game out? You should really go get it. Triple Round: a common topic of conversation at men's poker games (4). John gets #1 with their wives (or sex).  Job, cars, and sports seal the lead for the Contreras family as they win it, 373-179.

John & Raffie try their hand at Fast Money. Raffie's first as he gets a number one for any month you would take off if you could (December). He gets 107. John gets a number one for a place where they always keep you waiting (a doctor's office), but 50 is not enough. They take another $935, giving them a two day total of $1665.

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Jason Richards (pharmacy technician from Old Town, ME); $55,700, two days
Caren Chancey (graduate student from Baltimore)
Justin Porter (landscaper from Charleston, SC)

Jason has two games under his belt and some of, if not the most money one champ has ever garnered within the past two weeks. But can he get any more? Or will the graduate cutie with the cat or the dude with the stud in his soulpatch go for broke? Jason starts with $200 Astronomical Rhyme Time. The lady in the center is making her presence known, as she finds the early Daily Double under $1000 Fort Sumter. Already at $1800, she makes a play for the lead with $1500. The clue: 3 decades after the Civil War, fear of this European enemy prompted the building of a new battery; it was never used. "What is France?" Nope. A fleet of Spaniards dock Caren down to $300.

Fun fact: Jason has over 650 board games, including German games. I hope he has Settlers of Catan. That's my game right there. After the second half of the round, it's a race between Jason's $5000 and Justin's $4200. Meanwhile, Caren with $1300 starts Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 The "S" Files. Jason's beginning to break from the pack as he finds the first Daily Double under $2000 Villes de France. He goes $6000 on the Papal Palace of the capital of the Vaucluse department. "What is Avignon?" Right for $15,000! Caren goes straight for $2000 Famous Painters, the second Daily Double, and an all-in wager can put her within striking distance. She only bets $5000, which'll help... The task: identify the painter of "The Assumption of the Virgin." "Who is Titian?" That's Ti-TIAN, dear. She's got $12,300. She'd lose some of it, ending the round with $11,500. Justin's got $5000, but once again, it's Jason's game to lose with $23,800.

Final Jeopardy! in "Record Setters": on August 6 & 7, 1961, Gherman Titov did this 17 times; the previous record was one. Correct response: What is orbit the earth?

Justin remembered that Gherman Titov was a Russian cosmonaut... and apparently he's the only one. Still, not enough to rub out Jason, who collects another $23,100, giving him $78,800 for three days.

Lingo by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  7p ET/6p CT on GSN
Host: Chuck Woolery
Twin brothers Gabriel (web designer) & Anthony (event coordinator)
Twin sisters and singers Pamela & Paula

"I'm Chuck, and if you see two of me, then see an ophthalmologist." This must be the twin episode. And while I can make the obvious joke about Shandi, I'm not going to.

The guys get BROTH, while the ladies steal ROUTE and follow with HEADS and the Lingo, giving Pamela & Paula the lead, 100-25.

And they continue right out of the break with CHAMP, but the guys steal FORKS off their plate, but Gabriel draws red. Pamela & Paula capitalize with THIGH, leading 150-50 at the break.

Round 2 coming as we see the series three titles on the Lingo big screen. Why? Because it's a crooked letter, that's why. Pamela & Paul GLIDE into the Lingo effortlessly, giving them the lead, 300 to the guys' 50. The guys get ALOUD and the Lingo to cut the lead to 100. Make that 150; Pamela & Paula get STUNT. They also get a red stopper. They also get a steal with MUNCH. Game over, the girls win it, 400-200.

With three Bonus Lingo letters, Pamela & Paula get TAXES, ALIBI, CAMEL, POURS, SPACE, and FORTH for six. Paula goes for 10 for 10... She gets 10... times 4. Pamela gets the Lingo, giving the sisters $5000.

The Price is Right by Travis Schario, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS (markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker
Wednesday is Hump day!

We start our journey over the hump with Bob making an audience entrance for the first game: Plinko. Contestant Elizabeth Bauer, after snagging come Paricon snow sleds valued at $550, got a shot to win 50-G's. After winning only two out of the four chips, she took her three total to the top and dropped for $11,500 total.

Next, contestant Kathy Sturgis wins a Palecek chair and ottoman, valued at $2298 (the highest of the four bids was $750). Her game: Make Your Move, for a coin sorter, a Peavey drum kit, and a flatbed GEM Car. The setup for the game couldn't have been more than a giveaway:

3 0 7 0 0 7 6 9 5

Sturgis' move-making was speed-record breaking. After taking no help from the Peanut Gallery and moving all three gliders into their correct positions, she won a total $10,723.

The momentum maintained thru the next act. Contestant Betty Kaufman captured a Bosch coffee machine, valued at $1299, and made her way to the stage to play One Away for a Pontiac Vibe. The setup: 2 7 5 8 5. Kaufman's first attempt, $18,694, netted her two magical horns. She changed the last three numbers, made the price $18,476, and won the car, taking her total to $19,775.

The momentum came to a screeching pause over the next two acts. Contestant Samantha Sneed captured a set of Ryobi woodworking equipment worth $989, then lost Double Prices for a wine barrel juke box. Wait...a Wine Barrel JUKE BOX? How quaint. Following, contestant Lloyd Hall won a palmOne PDA (complete with Madden 06 and Centipede!) valued at $571. With "help" from his wife, he lost Check-Out by going $3.59 over the total prices of Aspercreme, Baker's Joy spray, Carnation Malted Milk, Carapelli olive oil, and Viactiv vitamin D chews.

Steam started picking up again with contestant Jetta Reynolds winning four bars of GOLD. Bling bling and such forth, valued today at $1640. "The Actual Retail Price is determined at the beginning of business on the day of taping." Her game: Dice Game (collective groan) for a Chevy Cobalt. Jetta didn't need an explanation of the rules and started rollin'. She went against the odds on her first roll of a 4, with the odds on a 5 and a 2, and got her final roll, a 5, right on the money. She won the car; $16,465.

On to the Showcases! Our Top Winner: MYM Kathy. Our Runner-Up: Master Grocery Shopper Lloyd. Showcase #1, regarding animal want-ads, gave us a 6-night trip to Rio, a Franklin Chef wine cellar, and a Jeep Wrangler. Kathy's bid: $26,000

Showcase #2 showed us how to one-up our friends, mainly with a 6-night trip to New York, a 6-night trip to London, and a Ford Mustang Convertible. Lloyd's bid: $27,500.

Lloyd fell short by a wide $11,598 margin (ARP: $39,098). Kathy missed hers by only $2002 (ARP: $28,002) and netted a cool $38,725 on the day.

Rich's suit was two shades of gray: dark for the coat, light for the pants.

STATS: 4/6; $90,231

Stump the Schwab by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  2:30-4p ET/1:30-3p CT on ESPN2
Hosts: Stuart Scott & Howie Schwab
We had two yesterday. We're getting three today.

Pete Fierro (Atlanta)
Sean Simon (Festerville, PA)
James Cho (Boulder, CO)

Leading Off: first, the 12 players on the LA Lakers '88 Finals roster. Sean is knocked out after 2. Pete's knocked out after 2. James is knocked out after 3. Schwab is at 4. Next: 20-game Major League winners since 2000. Pete moves ahead to 7, James drops behind to 4. Sean stays in the middle with 6. The Schwab has 10. Finally, 16 host cities of the Winter Olympics before Turin. In the end, James and Sean are tied at 8, while Pete moves on at 10. Time for a tiebreaker: in 2002, Rich Gannon set the NFL record for completions in a season. How many completions did Gannon have? Sean says 493. James says 469. Correct: 418. James moves on.

Onto Name That.... It's like Bid-a-Clue. Four clues to start in basketball, here's Pete... Juwan Howard gives Pete 4. Next up, pitchers and three clues. Eric Gagne gives James 5. College football coaches, James gets four clues. Tyron Willingham costs James, as Pete gets the 4. Linebackers with three, James gets the clues... and gets stumped again thanks to Tedy Bruschi. Pete gets the 5. Tennis greats for four clues, once again James... Rod Laver gets James 4 points.  Final Name That, Baseball players. James gets three clues... and Pete gets the points. Final score: 18-9 Pete.

But only temporary. Here's Stop the Presses. It's all about correcting bloopers for up to 2. After that game, the King is dead as Dan wins it, 7-2

Schwab Showdown categories: Captains of Crunch Time (crunch performances), Hey Lefty! I'm Open! (left-handed QBs), Stopping Short is My Thing (shortstops), and Shorts & Suits (NBA player coaches). Pete gets his first strike in a two-pointer. Schwab gets his first in a 3-pointer... and his second in a passed 3-pointer. Schwab wins this one, 4-9.

Malcolm Dyson (Seattle)
Greg Hurd (Carrolton, GA)
Joel Radwanski (Chicago)

Leading Off: 17 30-TD-throwing QBs from 1984 to 2004. Greg is out at 2. Malcolm is out at 2. Joel gets 4. Schwab gets 5. Next, 20 former NBA player Hall of Famers since 1995. Greg is out at 1. Joel is out at 2. Malcolm is out at 3. Joel & Malcolm tied at 5 to Greg's 3. Finally, 25 players on the 2000 Yankees World Series roster. Greg's out early, meaning Greg is out period. Joel & Malcolm move on...

... to Remember When. Each player is spotted 100 points, and they lose a point for every year that they're off. If they hit it exactly on the nose, it's worth a point. On the final question, scores are doubled. It's less complicated than it reads. Malcolm leads it, 97-95, going into the Ultimate Year. MLB is Joel's subject. The question: the year the Athletics began play in Kansas City after moving from Philadelphia. Joel says 1952. He's off by 3, meaning he's got 89. The question for Malcolm in college football: the year Paul "Bear" Bryant began coaching in Alabama. Malcolm says 1964. It was 1958, meaning Joel wins it, 89-85.

Schwab Showdown. Categories: First-Year Secondary (rookie NFL DBs), Summer Games People Play (the Olympics), The Chicago Nine (Chicago baseball), First Class (sports firsts). Schwab passes Joel his first strike. It was over when the Schwab struck out on this question: First-Year Secondary for 3:

In 1952, what rookie cornerback set the NFL record for interceptions with 14?

Correct: Dick "Night Train" Lane. Joel seals it for a second time, taking away a total of $22,000.

It's championship time!

Vik Dalvi (Culver City, CA)
Pete Fierro (Atlanta)
Joel Radwanski (Chicago)

The Red Storm is in the house for this Leading Off: First: RBs with 1700+ rushing yards in an NFL season entering 2005. Vik is out at 1. Pete is out at 2. Joel is out at 5. Schwab has 6. Next, 18 60-point scorers in an NBA game, entering 2005-06. Joel & Pete are tied at 5 to Vik's 3. Finally, 14 boxers Mike Tyson faced in 16 title fights. Vik is out first, meaning he's out period. He needed that round bad. Pete & Joel move on.

Time to play Who's Got More? Pete gets MLB career home runs, eight of them. Joel gets career RBIs, nine of them. Next, Pete gets career receiving yards, going to 28 on the buzzer. Joel gets career passing yards, but only gets to 23. It's Pete vs. Schwab for $30,000! But Joel can say that he's the only person to stump the Schwab twice for $22,000.

Schwab Showdown. Categories: The Color Line (breaking the color line), Is That Your Finals Answer (NBA Finals), Skins Game (Redskins), Behind the Mask (hockey goalie). Rubber match right here... and Pete strikes out. At least he gets $8000 and the golden Schwabble-head. Schwab wins it, 9-4, and gets only about as much time as ESPN will give him to prep for his next challenge... if there is one.

Trato Hecho by Gordon Pepper, GSNN

Air time:  12p ET/11a CT on Univision
Host: Guillermo Huesca
Are we prepared for another day of Trato Hecho? Lydia hopes so, as the Acapulcan beauty, who is wearing Hawaiian grab gets $100 from Guillermo. She can win much much more than that - if she can arrange 4 products in the correct order, she'll be hula-hulaing to a new Ford worth $14,920! The products are starting fluid, garden gloves, a combination lock and liquid plant food. Lydia's order is starting fluid, gloves, lock and plant food - meaning that she leaves everything as it is and gets showered with boos from the audience. Guillermo offers her curtain #2 as a buyout - and based on the boos, she decides to take the curtain. The cheapest item is...the starting fluid, so she's right there. She's right on the master lock...uh-oh. Did she just give away a car? No, because the gloves needed to be fourth and the plant food needed to be second. Behind curtain #2 - a nice refrigerator and a $500 cash card for a total of $1,699! What a nice deal for her.

It's time to pick the biggest churro! Norma, who's dressed up like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, selects churro #1. Norma gets a $200 offer for a bail out, but she doesn't want it. She should have taken it, because she's wrong. #2 was bigger today, and Norma gets $100 as a consolation gift.

Maria is a very nice maid. William is not so nice as Darth Vader. We have 2 decorated skulls, and Maria selects #1, which gives William #2. Guillermo offers Curtain #1 for Maria, and she takes it. Maris gives up..$1... and gets a washer/dryer combo worth $1,098! Now it's William's turn. Does he want Curtain #2? No he doesn't. and he passes up another skull - this one in the hand of the Mad Scientist of Tratolandia for a Chasco! What dies William get under the skull? $600, which is a nice deal for him.

Who wants the nice chance at over $5,000 worth of goodies in the Gran Trato? Lydia doesn't, but Maria does - as does William, so we see the same 2 people in the last segment. Maria wants door #2 and William wants door #3. We first see door #1, which had $750. Both of them will get a better deal, but we'll see William's first, as he wins a trip to Mexico worth $2,000. We FINALLY get a drought broken as Maris wins the Gran Trato. Today, it is some carpeting, which goes along with a living room with glass tables worth $5,562! We'll see if we can make it two in a row tomorrow.

Wheel of Fortune by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or wheeloffortune.com
Hosts: Pat Sajak & Vanna White
Duvan Ramirez, Jr. of Clifton, NJ gets $1000 from the early tossup. Housing coordinator Brenda Samuel of Hillside, IL and teacher Jessica Allen of Branford, CT hope to get some more of that Wheel money. Here comes another chance with tossup #2: CAMERA PHONE. Brenda gets the $2000 and spinning rights to start the opening round. We've got a safari in Africa on the Wheel first, and we've got a phrase first. And we've got a Prize Puzzle first. You know what that means. Jessica thanks her lucky stars for the Africa wedge and the puzzle solve of THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS for $1800... and a trip to Las Vegas! If you're spin ID is JV 02717, you've got 24 to spin to Wheeloffortune.com to join Jessica! In total, it's $7300 in that one round.

Jackpot round: same name. Brenda gets a $1000 from AstraZeneca (they'll also match it with a donation to breastcancer.org in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Go there and make a donation yourself). Brenda solves THE LION & BURGER KING for $1900, $3900 total.

Mystery round for jungle green... $10,000 to be exact. On the Menu, the category. Mystery Prize goes unclaimed as Jessica solves CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY LAYER CAKE for $1800, giving her $17,850 total.

Tossup #3: SELF-EMPLOYED CONTRACTOR goes to Duvan, giving him $3000, $4000 total. It's Speedround time with On the Map as the category. $1300 a piece after a bit of regular play. Jessica reads PRINCIPALITY OF MONACO for $5750. She's your big winner with $24,900.

But can she take the Bonus Round? Phrase is the category. After the usual six an MPD O, we get....

_ _ _ _  _ N
_ _ _ E R

No help. HIGH IN FIBER was the solution, as Jessica misses out on $24,900.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
On yesterday's show, Erin Doyle (Chicago, IL) reached $1,000, lifelines intact. She can't leave with less, but will she leave with more?

One thing that Erin would really appreciate is a shout-out to her grandmother from Meredith, since she's one of 47 grandkids, and she'd like to shoot up to the top of the list. The host makes it happen, and then they continue where they left off the day before, with Erin correctly responding that a rickshaw, a small passenger cart, has 2 wheels. Another question later, and she sees this for $8,000...

By definition, the leeward side of a ship is the side that is facing what direction?
A: Towards the coast
B: Towards the sun
C: Away from the wind
D: Away from the horizon

Erin asks the audience. 76% of the studio audience and 47% of the AIM users say C, so Erin goes with them... and it's C! She easily made it to $16,000, bringing her to this one, worth $25,000...

Brought back to Europe by explorers, tomatoes were originally native to what continent?
A: South America
B: Australia
C: Asia
D: Africa

Erin decides to call her friend, Mike Platt, who is not very sure, but does guess C. Not convinced enough, Erin uses the 50:50, which leaves A and C. She decides to go with Mike's guess and says C... but it's wrong! The answer is A! She won't be getting that 4th lifeline, but she does go home with $1,000.

Next in the hot seat is Lee Smallwood (Petaluma, CA), a fighter pilot with the Navy. Being in the Navy was a lifelong dream of his, so he pursued that dream, and he made it come true. Lee's road to a potential million starts with him knowing that "woof, woof, woof, woof" is repeated throughout "Who Let the Dogs Out" (but thanks to D here, from now on, if I ever hear that darn song again, I'll be thinking "one, one, hit, wonder" instead). He then flies through some more questions, including one that asks what musical genre the accordion is most commonly used in (Polka). Eventually, he has this $8,000 question...

In 2005, the AMC movie chain offered a money-back guarantee to boost lackluster ticket sales for what movie?
A: The Island
B: Cinderella Man
C: Herbie: Fully Loaded
D: Batman Begins

Lee chooses to ask the audience, and 55% of the studio audience goes with B, while 42% of the AIM users also go with B. Lee goes with the audience... and is right! He then makes a gamble pay off at the $16,000 question, before reaching this one for $25,000...

Besides John McCain and John Kerry, who is the only other current U.S. senator who served in the Vietnam War?
A: Lincoln Chafee
B: Tom Harkin
C: Chuck Hagel
D: Arlen Specter

Lee uses the 50:50 to get rid of B and D. He has an inkling, so he saves the Phone-A-Friend and goes with A... but it's C! Darn, that's the second contestant in a row to go for $25,000, but miss and end up with $1,000. And we haven't seen someone win at least $25,000 on this show since Sept. 26...

Hopefully, Ken Blundell (Kansas City, MO) can break this streak. He likes to gamble, so maybe we'll see some of that as he tries to climb his way to a million dollars. He begins by knowing that Motor Trend magazine is specifically geared towards car enthusiasts. He continues on, answering other questions, including one which asks what the abbreviation AC/DC, also the name of a rock band, is commonly used to refer to (electrical current), before reaching $1,000.

And there's the horn. Ken will continue playing tomorrow.
