Air time:  Check listings or familyfeud.com
Host: Richard Karn
Hart (Jason, Amber, Toi, Donna, John); $21,735, three days
Killinger (Kirk, Jennifer, Dawn, Lesley, Diane)

The challengers hope that they don't get killed today, and if you're keeping score at home, this is Richard Karn "Holy Smokes!" number 1 of the new season. Round 1: something about his appearance that a man checks before he approaches an attractive woman (5). Jason's beard falls under face, #3. But Kirk gets #1, hair. Clothes, breath, and teeth sweep it for the challengers, who get 95.

Round 2: past or present, a famous diet (6). Jennifer gets #3, South Beach Diet. Dawn gets #4, Weight Watchers. Lesley gets #1, Atkins. Jenny Craig and the Zone diet also makes the survey. Can the champs steal with Bohemian Diet? No, as the Killingers get 187. Other answer: Scarsdale Diet.

Anyone want to enlighten me on that last one?

Double Round: 100 men, a magazine you always enjoy reading (5). Toi fires with SI for #1. Also on the survey: Playboy. The Killingers think it's all about Time...Up there! The Killingers are up to 259. Other answers: Ebony, Jet.

Triple Round: a country where they drink lots of wine (4). Donna gets #1, Italy. From there we go to France (#2), and then... we're just lost. Can the Killingers steal with Spain? Yes! Killingers kill the Harts, 538-0. Other answer: England.

It comes down to the last question for Kirk and Diane. Can Kirk get 39 points with a food people dip in butter? He says "Bread"... only worth 8. The family ends up with $845.

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Deborah Slattery (homemaker from New Orleans); $28,300, two days
Monica Vidrio (graduate student orig. from Ventura, CA)
Melissa Ingells (radio host from Okemos, MI)

(C-Note: Per Alex Trebek, this episode was taped well before the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The fine folks at J! have confirmed that Deborah and her family are fine. Our thoughts and wishes, as well as those of the cast and crew of Jeopardy! go out to her and everyone else afflicted by this tragedy. That said, let's get it on.)

It's ladies night at the Jeopardy!, and Deborah hopes to last to a fourth match. She starts with $400 City Nicknames. Deborah finds herself at a familiar place, last at the TV time out with $400. As we break for station ID, Melissa leads it, $3400 to Monica's $1800.

As we return, we see Deborah's lucky charm... a wrench. Going back to her and going back to City Nicknames, the $1000 clue is your Daily Double. With only $400, she goes $600 on "Garden City" and "America's Most Beautiful City" in Georgia. "What is Savannah?" I've been there, and it's true, as Deborah goes to $1000. She jumps to second at the break with $2800, but Melissa is schooling everyone with $8600. Monica, with $2600, starts Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 Rivers. And speaking of rivers, Melissa finds the first Daily Double under $1600 The Environment. She fronts half the level on the end of the Volga River. "What is the Caspian Sea?" Right for $11,400. The ever so quick Monica goes for the second Daily Double under $2000 "War". What is it good for? How about level value? The clue: it was the maiden name of the American-born duchess of Windsor. "What is... Warwick?" Warfield, as Monica drops to $13,000. Deborah proves that she knows her Christopher Walken as she ends regulation in second, $9200 to Monica's $15,000. Melissa goes from first to worst with a costly mistake, at $7800.

Still time to sign up for J! tryouts in Seattle or Vancouver. Go to the website for more details.

Final Jeopardy! in "Africa": Equatorial Guinea is the only African nation whose official language is this. Correct response: What is Spanish?

All three ladies are in with the closeups. Was this an easy one? Melissa... is wrong. Deborah is... wrong. Monica is... wrong, but with $8000, it's enough to make her the new Jeopardy! champ. Deborah leaves with $30,300. Just remember what happened the last time a graduate student was champion...

Lingo by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  7p ET/6p CT on GSN
Host: Chuck Woolery
Comedians George Wendt (playing for Loyola High School of Los Angeles) & George Wallace (playing for the Tom Joyner Foundation)
Celebrity dancers Rachel Hunter (Born Free for the Gorilla Foundation) & Trista Sutter (playing for Fertile Hope & Environmental Media Association)

Welcome to day one of Celebrity Lingo. Today, we've got funnymen named George versus wannabe dancers. Well, in the case of one, she's an actual dancer. Rachel's justification... yet to be seen. Anyway...

George & George are first with FLIRT, following with... a bad spelling from George. Trista & Rachel... well, mostly Trista, get GOING, but the Georges steal WHOSE for the Lingo, giving them 100 to the ladies' 25. The ladies get back into it with CROWD... and this is so damn painful to watch, and we're not just talking about Rachel's stopper there. The Georges get UNTIL to end the round in the lead, 125-50.

And if that wasn't enough, Shandi blew her outro line. "Here's America?" What's up with that? Anyway, Trista & Rachel (again, mostly Trista) gets ALIKE. Rachel draws the Lingo, giving them the lead, 200-125. They continue with BONDS, coming from behind to win the game, 250-125. Each of the Georges leave with $2500 for their charities.

With three letters in Bonus Lingo (one for winning the game, one for the Lingo, and one because this is a charity game), Trista & Rachel (again, mostly Trista) get CAKES, AMBER, BEACH, PAGER, TAXED (hey, Rachel got one!), DUMPS, and STEAK for seven. That's worth $7000 and seven balls. If they draw 44, they'll take home $30,000 to split... Actually, if they draw ANY Lingo, it's worth $30,000. And sure enough, that's what happens in draw #3.

Tomorrow, dodge a little bitty red ball.

The Price is Right by Jason Hernandez, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS (markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker
Here it comes from the Bob Barker Studio! Hi, I’m JD Hernandez, and this is the Price is Right! The first four contestants of the day are Terry Stevenson, Cristina Callise, Arthur Templin, and Claudette Czech. The first item up for bids is an upright piano! Retail Price: $3278, Terry is the winner! Is Terry married or single? Terry is neither married nor single. He does have a girlfriend of 4 years, though. Bob said she might be interested in this… A NEW CAR! Terry was pretty hyped, but then he offers another new car! Terry was in hysterics, but nearly fainted when Bob revealed another new car! It’s Triple Play! Let’s go to the first car.

Pontiac Sunfire: $14,251 or $17,890? He chooses $17,890 after much thought and after the audience helps him out. Is that right? *bzzz and losing horns* NO! The car was worth $16,850. What a disappointing heartbreaker!

Tracey Crawford is the next contestant to come on down! The next item up for bid is a Hooker tea cart, where Bob tried to eat some of the food on the cart, and found out it was fake! Oops! Retail Price: $627! Cristina wins and gets up on stage…and gives Bob a HUGE bear hug! Bob then sits down and needs to gather himself. Then he reveals she can win $10,000 playing ½ Off. Here are the three sets of prices:

*Jukebox ($90) and Hummer coin bank ($25): She says the Hummer, and that’s right! ($50)
*Ice Shaver ($23) & Grill/Buffet ($15): She says the grill; yes! ($30)
*Crepe Maker ($30) & handheld backgammon game ($15): She thinks the crepe maker is half-off, but that’s wrong!

Which box contains the big money? Is it number 1, 7, 10, or 16? Cristina chooses box #10. She lifts up the box to find…nothing. Aw. The big bucks were in box #1; too bad.

John Fischer is next to come on down! The next prize to bid on is a set of indoor sport games, like air hockey and foosball. Retail Price: $900, and Arthur wins his way on the stage. He can win a beautiful trip to Barbados for a six-night stay. He’s playing Coming or Going.

Is he coming with 4647, or going with 7464? He’s gone with $7464, and he’s the first winner of the day!

Showcase Showdown: The very strong Cristina spins first and lands on 55-cents. She chose to spin again, and just narrowly missed 45, and got 70 cents. Terry lands on 60 cents…and stays! Arthur spins last, and he just missed the dollar! He started with 15, and finished with 70 cents, and a total of 85 cents! We’ll see Arthur in the showcases!

Next up is Robert Bailey! He’s so excited to come on down! Next to bid on is a garden set of chairs and table. Retail Price: $3,386. Claudette wins and will play Barker’s Bargain Bar for a Bowflex exercise machine ($1199) and a grandfather clock ($940). She thinks the clock is the bigger bargain here. The Bowflex was $2199, for a $1000 bargain. The clock is $2940, with a difference of $2000! Claudette wins!

Renee Cloos is next to come on down! Two beauties come on down to bidder’s row to show off two GPS locators. Retail Price: $800 and John wins! Oh, if Renee would have gone with her first instinct, she would have went up on stage with a $500 bonus. However, it is John who is going to play on stage. He’s playing Dice Game for a Dodge Neon!

First roll is a 4, and that’s wrong. He says the 2nd number is higher. His next roll is a 6, and that’s right! The third roll is a 1, and THAT is right! His final roll is also a 1, and that is wrong; but that is, of course, higher. We know the last number is right at 5. What about that second number? *dings* YES! The 2nd number was a 5, and John is a winner! The price of the car was $15,615.

The last contestant of the day is Lisa Gallaher-Thompson! They are now bidding on snowshoe equipment from Tubbs. Retail Price: $956! and Lisa gets out of Contestant’s Row just like that! Lisa can win a fabulous home theatre group. That includes a 42-inch plasma TV and a sofa worth over $4,500. She is going to play Grocery Game! Whoohoo! Remember, you must be as close to $21 as possible, and as low as $20. Here are the products:

*pineapple slices, a bottle of olive oil, Jif peanut butter, Flexitol heel balm, and a can of Pringles chips.

She buys the chips first, and buys 10 of them. (ARGH!) They are 79-cents each giving her $7.90, thus far. She got rid of the cheapest prize first, ayy! She then buys the oil worth $5.49, and buys one. Her total is now $13.39. Next, she buys two Jif peanut butter jars worth $2.99 each, totaling $5.98. Total is now $19.37. Obviously, the heel cream is too much, so she put her hopes on one can of pineapple slices. She needs it to be less than $1.63. Those pineapples cost…$1.79 putting her over by 16 cents! Well, three games were won today. Not too bad.

The contestants not appearing on stage today will receive a handheld karaoke system, and a portable vacuum!

Showcase Showdown: Lisa spins first, and lands on 20. She spins again, and goes over by a nickel with 85 cents! Claudette then spins, and JUST misses a dollar, by landing on a nickel! However, she lands on 75, making a total of 80 cents! John spins on 50, and has to spin again. His final spin lands on…30! We have a tie! On the spin-off, Claudette lands on that darn nickel again! A dime will do it for John, and oh no! John is slowing down at that nickel, but it’s just enough to get to the DOLLAR! On John’s bonus spin, it goes around once, but no bonus money. He wins $1,000 and goes to the showcases!

John is the top-winner, and Arthur is the runner-up.

The first showcase features family sleep ware, a lovely bedroom set from Magnussen Home, and make sure you get a good night’s sleep so you can get on a new hovercraft! John bids $14,500 on that showcase.

The last showcase looks at the life of a rock star, and this rock star plays air guitar on a new stereo system! Next, the rock star dreams of playing at the Colloseum in Rome for a six-night stay! Next, the rocker wants to sit in the back seat of a new Lincoln Town Car! Arthur bids $34,000 on his showcase!

John bid $14,500 on his showcase. The price is $24,679 for a difference of $10,179.

Arthur bid $34,000. The actual retail price of his showcase is $51,885 for a difference of $17,885. John wins!

John has won $42,094 in cash and prizes today!

Trato Hecho by Gordon Pepper, GSNN

Air time:  12p ET/11a CT on Univision
Host: Guillermo Huesca
We have deals to give out on this Monday - starting with Jaime the priest. Jaime gets $50 and has a chance to win a heavenly PT Cruiser worth $15,995! He will win it if he can price some Gorilla Glue, Febreze, Dawn and Raid. The idea is to price the items from cheapest to most expensive. Jaime's selection - Dawn, Glue, Raid and Febreze. He's given the chance to bail out with Curtain #2, but he doesn't want it, and gives up a living room set worth $1,865. Did he win the car? The Dawn is...wrong. The right order is Raid, Dawn, Febreze and the Glue. He only got one right, but he does have some money - $200 for the 1 right item - and he sits down with it.

Maria is a demon monk thing, and she has to choose between two churros. The bigger churro is worth $500, while the smaller one is worth $100. Maria selects #1. Guillermo offers her $250 to not go for it, but she wants to go. She gets...the short end of the churro. The large one had the money, and she only gets $100.

Elida the clown and Cruz the maid are here for the next deal, which hopefully will be better than the first 2 deals. Cruz gets a coin from 1861. How valuable is it? Cruz doesn't think it's that valuable and trades for Curtain #2. She gets a pair of bicycles worth $780, so it's not a bad deal. Now it's Elida's turn. Does she want the coin or Curtain #3? She also wants the curtain, and they both turned down a coin worth $15.95. Elida gets a good deal too, as she gets a washer/dryer combo worth $1,098. We finally get some happy women...

...but how much happier would they be with the Gran Trato? Not Elida, who keeps the washer/dryer combo. Cruz gives up the bikes, and Jaime gives up the $200 to have a shot at $5,000+. As for the doors, Cruz wants Door #3 and Jaime wants #2. We see first what's behind door #1, which is a refrigerator, dishwasher and an oven with a total value of $2,097. As for who has the Gran Trato, it's not Cruz, who has $850. The Gran Trato goes to Jaime, as he gets a trip to Mexico and a living room with watches for a total of $5,056. The pope has some tidings that he may want to give back to the church - or maybe not.

A  _ _ L _

He had no chance with this one...and it was A GULF...and he lost $25,000. But he leaves with $35,470 in cash and prizes!

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
It's time for another week of Millionaire, so let's get going!

Today's episode begins with Jean Bolick (Augusta, GA) entering the hot seat. Unfortunately, after flying into New York for the taping, someone else apparently got her luggage. At least she got it back soon afterwards. Jean begins by knowing that it's Cinderella who got her name because she slept in a fireplace (is that even possible these days?). As the game goes on, she also correctly responds that in street lingo, a "hot" object is one that was recently stolen, and that it was Bill Clinton's presidential campaign that rallied around the slogan "It's the economy, stupid". Then comes the $4,000 question...

Kelly Monaco, the surprise winner of this summer's "Dancing With the Stars," plays a gangster's moll on what TV soap?
A: All My Children
B: General Hospital
C: Days of Our Lives
D: One Life to Live

Jean decides to ask the audience. 60% of the studio audience picks B, while the AIM poll is much closer; there, 31% says B and 30% says C. Jean goes with B... and she's up to $4,000! Another question later, and she has this for $16,000...

Site of an 1883 volcanic eruption that was heard thousands of miles away, Krakatoa is an island located in what country?
A: New Zealand
B: Malaysia
C: Philippines
D: Indonesia

Jean calls her husband Gary for help here, and he thinks it's D. But without knowing how sure Gary is, Jean uses the 50:50, which leaves B and D. With that, she goes with her husband's answer and says D... and it's D! Afterwards, she knows that kids normally develop a total of 20 baby teeth, and that gets Jean to $25,000! But on the next question, she doesn't know what type of bird is being prepared for a meal in the folk song "Alouette" (Lark), so Jean switches it out for this $50,000 question...

Who was the last U.S. president to not father any daughters?
A: Franklin D. Roosevelt
B: Harry S. Truman
C: Dwight D. Eisenhower
D: Lyndon B. Johnson

With a free guess at this point, Jean says C... and she's right! She then walks on the next question, not knowing that the first transatlantic telegraph cable message was exchanged between Queen Victoria and James Buchanan. Hopefully, Jean won't have any more luggage problems to deal with as she takes home $50,000!

They have some time left, so in comes Eric Leonard (Chicago, IL). His wife signed up herself and him, and he's the one going for the million. Go figure. Anyway, Eric's road to that million starts with him knowing that Tarzan is known as the "Lord of the Jungle" (though some could probably make a case for "Lord of the Strong Odors"). He then goes through a few more questions, including one that asks which newspaper feature often contains a "spoiler alert" (movie review), before reaching $1,000.

And that's all the time for today. Eric will be back to continue climbing the proverbial ladder tomorrow.
