Game 1: Daren &
Amanda start with a steal of DUMMY, but finish early
with a red stopper. They pick up the draw again with
CLOCK, and follow with FILMS, and a Lingo draw, giving
them the lead, 125-0. Matthew & Lucas are back on the
board with SNACK for 25, but Daren & Amanda steal BOOKS
for another 25. Matthew & Lucas steal back PROOF and
Lingo off of that for 100 to the Reds' 150. The reds
DRAFT 25 more, then follow with THING and another Lingo,
giving them the 250-100 lead at the half.
Daren & Amanda steal to
start round 2 with RAZOR. They pick off one of the ?
balls early. Matthew & Lucas steal with DRINK, and
follow with ELBOW, but it's not enough to win it. Daren
& Amanda take the W, 300-200.
With three Bonus Lingo
letters, Daren & Amanda get CLEAN, TIGER, SPELL, BONES,
LUNGS, DISCS, and GLOAT. That's $700 and seven balls.
But that can make that $10K for 20. Amanda's in... and
out comes 16. As soon as Daren says that "this ain't
funny no more", out comes the Lingo for $5000.

Game 2: Dave &
Katie start with an H, but Kim & Roel get HORNY for 25.
Unfortunately, it only gets Kim as far as a red stopper.
They get the draw back with SANDS. For the second time
in a row, Kim draws red. Roel gets PENNY... and draws
blue! Dave & Katie steal DOLLS, but now THEY draw red.
They get the draw back with LEMON. Kim & Roel snipe
WEEKS, follow with ANGER, and Lingo off of that for the
175-50 lead. Dave & Katie get HILLS and Lingo their own
board for 125 to the Reds' 175.
Dave & Katie are READY
for round 2, but Kim & Roel steal CHUCK (hey, I know
that guy) for 50. Meanwhile, Roel draws red and joins
Jim Hess in the gratuitous game show cursing department.
They get the draw back with SPENT. And Round 2 is spent
already, meaning that with a score of 275-175, Kim & Mr.
Potty Mouth win it!
With two Bonus Lingo
letters, Kim & Roel forget how to relax, getting START,
CIGAR, GIANT, FRESH, ATLAS, DROOP, POPPY, RUGBY, and
INNER for $900 and nine balls. They can make that
$10,000 for 44. Kim gets the draw... and she gets 4. One
4 short. Roel picks up the other 4 for $5000. |
