Lingo by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  7p & 7:30p ET/6p & 6:30p CT on GSN
Host: Chuck Woolery
Yellows: Friends Yan (law student) & Serge (engineer)
Reds: Roomies Kat (writer) & Mila (nursing student)

Game 1: We give Yan & Serge an S to start. From that, they get SLIME, PLACE, and a red stopper. Kat & Mila CHECK for 25, following up with FLAGS and another red stopper. They get the draw back with a steal of LYING. Yan & Serge get a steal of their own with GLOOM and the Lingo, giving them the lead, 125-75. They're not done yet, as they steal DEPOT, and follow with HEART, giving them the 175-75 lead at the half.

Kat & Mila start round 2 in the MOTEL, and still can't get Lingo. Will they get it after SHOUT? No. "On the bright side, any of them next time!" Yay for optimism, Shandi. Bad news: Yan & Serge steal TRIBE for the Lingo, giving the Yellows 325-175 and the lead. Kat & Mila get FROZE and their own Lingo, giving them the tie ballgame, 325-325. Yan & Serge ORDER up the win, 375-325.

With three bonus letters in Bonus Lingo, Yan & Serge get GRADE, JOKER, PARTY, BLANK, CANDY, WORKS, SHAKE, TEACH, FORTY and... JUST miss FUZZY, but with eight words, they can Lingo easily. Lucky 13 on the first pull means $10,000. Yan draws... 43. They Lingo on the third pull for $5000.

Yellows: Best friends and go-go dancers Danielle & Cher
Reds: Couple Jeff (law student) & Lara (interior designer)

Game 2: The Yellows go first with B. They can't do anything with it, giving Jeff & Lara a chance to steal with BRIBE. Danielle & Cher even the score with TEAMS. Jeff & Lara steal again with STINK and follow with RADIO and... a stopper ball. Ow. Yellow still can't do anything with GROVE first, but they get it on the back end. Jeff & Lara steal again with HASTE. LAra draws red to close the first half in the lead, 100-50.

Danielle & Cher get JERKS and the Lingo for the 200-100 lead. And that's just 30 seconds into round 2. They follow up with a steal of COVER. but Jeff & Lara steal with TROOP. Lara draws the ? ball to tie it at 250. But round 2 ends on that, meaning it's time for a tiebreaker, the first since season 2. You can tell they haven't used it in a while, because they play the second season win cue at the reveal. Jeff & Lara score FLOWERS, giving them the win.

With two Bonus Lingo letters in tow, Jeff & Lara get EXITS, GREAT, and  JUMBO for $300. But they can get $10,000 with a lucky pull of 13... Close, Jeff got 11. Nothing on the second... and nothing on the third, giving them that $300.
