Doug Hicton
orig. from Regina, SK
composer
$54,099, two days |
Khoa Le
New York City
stock trader |
Betsy Bangs
Fraser, MI
retired art teacher |
Doug has been making
sweet music in the last two games, but no matter what
the outcome, Khoa will come out with a smile on his...
podium.
Doug starts with $200
It Was a Very Good Year. At the TV time out, Khoa finds
the Daily Double under $1000 Witchcraft. "Bet it all."
The clue: title of a Broadway play & also a Jimmy
Stewart film, these 3 items are part of a Catholic rite
concerning witches. "What are... 'It's a Wonderful
Life'... " Not without money, it isn't. The three were
bell, book and candle. Doug still leads, $2400 to
Betsy's $1400.
Khoa will rebound to
$4000 against Doug's $6400. Betsy, with $3200, will
start Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400
The Late President Ford, where Doug finds the first Daily Double
under $1600. Doug is coming alive again with a $4500 bet
on this: the investigative body to which Ford was
appointed on November 29, 1963. "What is the Warren
Commission?" Right for $16,100! Betsy
finds the other one under $2000 Opera in Other Words.
Betsy bets $3000 on "Masculine Singular Ablative in
Latin for Faithful or True" "What is 'Fidelio'?" Correct for $12,600!
Doug ends the round in the lead with $22,500 against
Betsy's $15,400 and
Khoa's $6400.
Final Jeopardy! in "Art
History": Carel Fabritius, whose self-portrait is
seen here, is considered this man's greatest pupil.
Correct question: who is Rembrandt?
All three are right,
giving the game once again to Doug with $30,801. And
it'd be hard to contain your excitement with $84,900. |

It's been a good week... so
far. Danielle Henry, Frank Pipia Jr., Karen Jaggers, and
Sharon Telford hope to continue that winning tip with a
game room. It's worth $950, and it goes to Danielle.
Next, a grandfather clock to go with it. Is she Coming
($3685) or Going ($5863)? She's Going... and she wins!
Frank gets a $750 carousel
horse and a shot at 10 Gs on the Punchboard. With
punches from a $39 breakfast maker, a $60 retro phone, a
$30 travel mug, and a $30 laser ball, he ends up with
$100 twice... gives both back, gets $50, gives THAT
back, and ends up with $250.
Sharon scores with a
$1399 LCD TV/DVD. But can she win a flashlight, a pair
of electric guitars, and a Dodge Dakota? The game is 10
Chances. She uses four on the $20 flashlight... and the
rest on the guitars, which were $620. She didn't know
the secret rule. That's what ends up costing her. But
she has a chance to make up for it in the Showcase,
winning at the Big Wheel.
Becky Lawler gets to
Pick-a-Pair after winning an $898 pair of bikes. The
first picks: Cat Chow worth $3.99. Next, Selsun
shampoo... $6.99. Becky goes with the shampoo, and goes
with the Airborne supplement... $5.99.
Karen gets out of the Row
with a $2795 bubble chair. Can she win a Jeep Wrangler?
One Away is the game; $28,584 is NOT the price. She
tries $19,675... one... two... three.. four... FIVE
HONKS!
Jodi Kendall wins a $1549
gas grill. She also gets a chance at a treadmill and
dinnerware. The 1 Right Price: $1999. She goes with the
dinnerware... $2733. Ouch.
Becky wins $1000 in the
Showdown and top winner status in the Showcase. First
up, how to tell when you're underdressed relating to a
trash compactor, a trip to New York City, and a Pontiac
Vibe. Becky bids $16,500. Next, Rachel takes a peek in
her boyfriend's diary (C-Note: in reality, she's happily
married). She sees a diamond ring, a trip to Rome, and a
sailboat. Sharon tags it at $26,200. Actual price:
$30,186, a difference of $3986. Actual price of Becky's
Showcase... $23,716, a difference of $7216. Sharon makes
up for her 10 Chances gaffe winning $31,605.
Stats: 2-4, $65,404. |

Yamile fires with making you cry.. #1! They're also
healthy, smelly, and ... over to the Elders. They go
with making your breath smell... Not there, Youngers
take the lead, 234-123. Other answer: they're flavorful.
Triple: something that
can ruin a party at your house (3). Lianny gets the big
one with a drunk. A lawsuit follows a short performance
by Marco Antonio and Jhon. The youngers try to steal
with ambience... Not there! Elders win, 363-234. Other
answer: a strain.

more modern (4). Hernan gets the top of the board with
