Champions:
Solis (Sallie, Bob, Eddie, Sandra & Alicia); $20,840, two days |
Challengers: Bauer
(Desiree, Michael, Jason, Jacob & Christi) |
Jack Bauer isn't one of them, but
still, the challengers are giving the champs a run for their
money, with the score standing at 281-76 going into the triple
round: 100 women; a word for a man who isn't neat. Number one is
slob, and it goes Jacob's way. The rest of the team comes up with
... Not much. The champs can force sudden death if "pig" is up
there... It's there! Other answers: Messy and untidy. The Solis
family trails by one going into...
Sudden death: Which talk show has
the trashiest guests? I'm thinking Springer. Alicia thinks
Springer. It's good for the win, 559-281.
Sandra benches Sallie in favor of
Bob for Fast Money. Will the gambit pay off? Yep. Another $20,000
gives them $60,840.

Budding actress Jillian Nyan got a
chaise and $2500 (including $1000 in bonus cash in the Showdown)
in her journey at Studio 33. Ryan Smeets would find the sight of a
night vision package useful as he finds the Secret X for a hair
dryer and a new dining room with dinnerware.
Both would meet up at the
Showcase, where Ryan can choose the bedroom group with mattress &
dressing, an HDTV, and a trip to Japan or the next Showcase. He
keeps the first one, and tags it at $9000, a difference of $8329.
Jillian gets some home improvements in the form of a
fridge/freezer, a sauna, and a Ford Explorer. She bids $21,000, a
difference of over $10,000. Ryan wins the day with $22,018.
The Marlin Frakes Triple Play from
yesterday will be posted once I get the time to do it. |

'til You Drop by Chico Alexander, GSNN
Air time: 6:30pm ET/5:30pm CT on PAX
Host: JD Roberto |
|
Players:
Lisa (real estate agent) & Lee (HR) vs. Rebecca (server) &
David (store manager) |
Rebecca & David get a TV center.
Lisa and Lee didn't get their opening stunt because they, like
9/10s of the nation, didn't watch "Outback Jack". I bet JD feels
smarted right now. But they do get hair care products and a trip
to Palm Springs from the Shopper's Special. Despite missing their
follow-up stunt, Rebecca & David rally back to win, 550-250.
STYD Round for a trip to Hawaii:
Rebecca & David get a Shopvac, a cordless headset phone, luggage,
charm bracelets, an ArtGazebo.com gift certificate, and
dinnerware. Total of... $2145. |

Wager of Death: A baby is commonly referred to as a bundle of
what? Correct: Joy.
Suzanne takes Jackie, and Craig...
"Two can play at this game." Jackie goes with "Love"; wrong answer
is a good bet. Craig... doesn't make it; he has $700. Jackie...
doesn't make it either; she has $100, making Craig the winner. But
will he keep the $700? "I'm going to the top!" We'll see him in
the tourney. It's coming soon. |

College Week continues from WWTBAM Play It! at
Disney-MGM Studios at Walt Disney World in Orlando, where AZ State senior
Allyson Horgan, who wants to get a PhD., continues her trek toward seven
figures. So far, she's at $2000 and two lifelines - PAF and 50/50 - remaining.
Okay, make that one lifeline. Allyson calls PAF
Donna on $4000: What school's facilities include the George Lucas Instructional
Building and the Johnny Carson TV Stage? "I'm going to say USC. It's definitely
not NYU. It's definitely not Columbia." It's Allyson's first inkling... and it's
right for $4000!
And make that zero lifelines after $16,000: The
legendary tale of the Pied Piper takes place in what country? Left with only
Ireland and Germany, Allyson goes with Germany... and she gets to view the
$25,000 milestone! And here it is...
For $25,000: In the bestseller "The Five People
You Meet in Heaven," which of these is not one of the five people encountered?
a) High school gym teacher b) Army captain c) Deceased wife d) Freak show
performer. She thinks it's A. And she's... RIGHT! Goodbye student loans!
For $50,000: Once used by Native Americans as a
form of currency, wampum was made from what? a) Animal teeth and bones b) Carved
wood c) Polished shells d) Smooth stones. Hard question. Allyson decides to
switch it out. Correct: C. Allyson would've been right! Oh well. New question:
In 1958, what jeweler donated the fabled Hope diamond to the Smithsonian
Institution? a) Bulgari b) Harry Winston c) Cartier d) Tiffany. A jumps out...
Allyson takes the freeball on it. Nothing lost, but the answer was B.
From the University of Colorado, we meet
sophomore Tom Rudden of Denver. In a fit of irony, the original host of US
Millionaire Regis Philbin gets Tom the $1000 check. But no such luck with $2000,
as he ATAs: According to a popular Beatles song, who "picks up the rice in the
church where a wedding has been"? Disney World likes "Eleanor Rigby", and AOL
agrees. Tom goes with them, as he takes the $2000.
He needs the 50/50 at $8000: In 2004, movie star
Julia Roberts gave birth to twin babies with what distinctive names? That leaves
Sigrid & Camden and Hazel & Phinnaeus. with no idea, Aunt Betty gets a call from
Meredith. "Hazel and Phinnaeus. 100 percent. We love you, sweetheart."
Always listen to the aunt, as Tom brings $8000 into tomorrow's show. |
