Episode 2 - October 28
Gordon: Welcome to another episode of Spain's favorite American
game - Vas O No Vas. First place is a not too shabby $250,000.
This works differently then the American Version of Deal Or No
Deal. For starters, there's not 1, but 2 Fastest Finger
questions. Joining us for this evening, a Canadian that has his
own version of Deal or No Deal, Mr. Don Harpwood.
Don: Oh yeah!
Gordon: First question - Where is El Rio De La Plata? Answer -
Argentina and Uruguay. The winner, which is determined by their
T-Mobile Phone ringing...Rafael Corominas from Las Vegas!
Don: Yay!
Gordon: Second Question = Isabel Allende is famous for La Casa
De...what? The answer is - Los Espiritos. The Winner is -
Mayleen Rodriguez, from San Juan, Puerto Rico. We also have with
us Aaron 'Plinko Boy' Huertas joining in.
Aaron: What's up, Guys? Thanks for having again.
Gordon: Next up...2 out of 3 questions. Rafael gets the first
question right. Mayleen gets the second. Getting the third
question....Rafael, and he goes on to play the board. Rafael is
crying. His wife is crying. But before we go on, we see the
Temptation Case. This case is to have Rafael stop now. Should he
stop now, then Mayleen gets to play. The offer to stop right
now...$20,000. In this version, there's only SIX cases higher.
It's like me giving Aaron $100,000 to not even bother playing.
Aaron: I'll take the $100,000 now...DEAL
Gordon: Rafael turns it down, and we begin play. Here's the 26
cases.

higher. Next up, we see the 26 models, who do a funky
dance before scattering around Rafael. After the dance,
they then walk up the stairs, and take position like the
U.S. Formation. Rafael selects Case Number...#6. And
we'll start picking...right after the break. Where is
the $250,000?
Aaron: Plinko boy feels his luck. What's in box 6, is
something much less than 250,000. I'd say 50,000. The
250,000 is in box 4, I think.
Gordon: I'll put $500 in #6 and $250,000 in 19
Don: I'll guess $1,250 in #6, and the big one in #14.
Gordon: Rafael's spouse is here, watching him pick off
cases
Aaron: He is from San Turce PR
Gordon: And the picking begins. First case picked..#25.
Inside the case...$1
Aaron: 19
Gordon: Starting off good. Second case...$7,500
Aaron: 16
Gordon: Has..$10,000
Aaron: 12
Gordon: We see...$125,000. Not good there.
Aaron: Yikes
Don: Eep.
Aaron: 13
Gordon: It's usually big numbers in the US version.
here...$75. And now, we call Mayleen down, She can now
guess what's in the next case. If she is right, she
wins...
Joe: (Incidentally, the cheapest 2007 Ford Fusion is
$17,995)
Gordon: A vacation via Costa Cruises around the
Caribbean. Mayleen says $20,000 is in the case. The case
being #21.
Aaron: ok that screaming is getting old... 21
Gordon: After a good luck yell, we see...$1,250
Gordon: Good number for Rafael. Bad number for Mayleen.
Gordon: 2 of the Big 8 are gone. The $250,000 is still
there. The Banker,
looking all professional and Alexandra York-like is on.
Her first offer - $3,200.

Aaron: And we have the Spanish Rockettes. Rafael is
singing a popular Spanish salsa song. "You did
witchcraft on me". That's what he's singing. Next is #4.
Gordon: ...is the PENNY case!
Don: Nice!
Gordon: That was a very bewitching selection.
Aaron: 24
Gordon: $30,000. Not so bewitching
Aaron: 22
Gordon: Has...$5,000.
Aaron: 15
Gordon: has..a measly $50. 1 more case to select for the
round
Aaron: 9
Gordon: has...a little $300. For the most part, a very
good round. Only $30,000 gone. The offer should go up.
Buuuuut, before we see that, we see the Temptation Case.
It still has $20,000. Rafael doesn't want it. The
Bankers offer...$8,400.

Mommy.
Aaron: His mom told him to keep on playing. He selects
#7 next.
Gordon: #7 is..not lucky. $20,000. #8 -
$250,000...divided by $100. Only $2,500. I cant imagine

Gordon: Knowing that he has to knock off 3 more cases,
and knowing that should he knock off all of the Top 3,
it's game over, Rafael says No Vas. Back to cases. The
highest numbered case (26) has...the highest number left
on the board. $100,000.
Don: Darn.
Gordon: #17 has..$500. #2...has...$1,000. However,
another bad round for the player, and we could be seeing
a lower offer from the bank. We do. Down to $5,600.

Do you take the

Don: I probably would.
Aaron: I'd take it and go
Gordon: Rafael must take 2 more cases. Should he find
both the $40,000 and $50,000, then we have a lot of
garbage time left. #18...guarantees that we won't have
garbage time right now. $25. #22...uh.oh...$40,000. Bank

out to play.
Don: Wow.
Gordon: Soooo...what do you do now?
Gordon: 1 out of 4 chance to blow everything. You could
walk off with $50,000...or take the quick $20,000.
Don: Hmm...
Gordon: Rafael and wife have a quick chat...And
they...TAKE the Temptation Case!
Aaron: Yay!
Gordon: But was it the right move? In #1...$50,000. It
was the right move.
Don: Oh, nice timing!
Gordon: Inside his case...$100.
Don: Wow
Gordon: So that ends this week. A special thanks to Don,
and Aaron for hanging out. For everyone, this is Gordon
Pepper, saying Game Over and Spread the Love. |
