Big Baby Go Boom!/Big Chicken Butt Scramble
July 15

Last week, the Green Monkeys lost again in the Team Game, and Meaghan had a plan to get herself immunity if she put herself up for elimination.  She won the Elimination Game, sending Darcy home for good this time.  Who will be the next to say Sayonara to Japan?

Backstage after Meaghan's win, she comes back to rejoin the others, and Andrew's happy...he won himself a bag of cookies, because everyone but him was betting that Darcy would win in the elimination game.  Donnell's still not happy that he agreed to give Meaghan immunity from the next elimination, and he's seriously considering going back on his word.

Back at the house the next morning, the teams are getting ready for another crazy day.  The Yellow Penguins are wanting to make it a hat-trick and win three team games in a row.  And down comes Mama-san for today's lesson: teaching the contestants a little more Japanese.  She teaches them a useful phrase: How much is it?  Justin screws it up at first, asking How much for your pants?, but he eventually gets it right.  She then teaches Cathy how to say I'm sorry in Japanese since she's late all the time.  Hmm...have I already mentioned I love Mama-san?  But it's time to head back to the Toho Studios, because the games are about to begin.

The players start to get dressed, when the stage manager comes out with their costumes...giant baby bonnets and bibs.  And everyone wonders what crazy game they've come up with that would require them to dress up like this...too late now.  Five...four...three...two...Action!  Time to start the greatest entertainment show in the world, everyone say it with me!  Hai, Majide!

And let's send out the Americans, who look a lot younger today in their baby bibs and bonnets.  It's time to reveal their team game:

BIG BABY GO BOOM

The big babies will spin on a disc inside a giant crib. When the game starts, one will come out and walk onto the spinners, where they'll fill two cups with milk. They'll then go through the rest of the spinners, and over a ramp with several obstacles. Any milk left will then be dumped into a giant baby bottle. They'll then run back and hit a buzzer to let the next baby go. Most milk in the bottle in 3 minutes wins.

First things first, the Penguin Baby Team has an extra member, so one of the babies needs to sit out in the corner and be a cry baby...Bilenda volunteers to be the cry baby for this challenge. And of course, what would the game be without everyone's favorite judge...Judge Bob! Who will go first Judge Bob? He decides...the Penguin Baby Team shall go first, so the Monkey Baby Team heads backstage for now while the Penguins stand by. Let's get...started!

SPIN BABIES!

And the babies start spinning at “800 miles per hour”, or so Rome says. The clock starts after they get a few revolutions in...3, 2, 1, start the clock! Cathy decides to go first, and gets over the teeter-totter and onto the spinners. She fills her cups, then falls right off the first spinner, losing all the milk! She still has to finish the course though before the next baby can go. She hits the buzzer with 2 minutes left, sending hairy Baby Andrew out onto the course. He fills his cups rather quickly, but falls on the second spinner. He still has milk left though, and gets through the course with little trouble to pour the milk into the bottle. Justin's next up, and he fills his cups, then jumps across the spinners and over to the ramp, keeping a lot of milk in the cups. He easily gets to the bottle, adding a lot to his team's total. 30 seconds left, and Andrew decides to go again. Can he make it? He gets to the ramp, and up to the fog attack with 10 seconds to go...

GAME OVER!

And he doesn't quite make it. The Yellow Penguins are scared that they didn't do too well, with two out of the three members getting milk in the bottle. We'll see how they did a little later.

We come back from commercial to the audience doing the Wave, and Rome jokes that he knows it matters who wins, but he likes seeing the contestants fall anyway. Me too, Rome, me too. We have the Monkey Baby Team standing by in the crib, so...

SPIN BABIES!

This time the crib is spinning at 1000 miles per hour! Just kidding! 3, 2, 1, start the clock! Donnell is first, and he has trouble even getting over the initial teeter-totter. He gets to the spinners, and fills his cups, then falls on the second spinner, losing most of his milk. He then loses the rest jumping onto the ramp, but he still has to finish the course. He makes it back with 2 minutes left to hit the buzzer. Meaghan's next. She fills her cups, then falls of the first spinner. She doesn't lose a lot of milk, but the rules say that she has to go back to where she fell and try again. She does get to the end though with a little bit of milk, getting back to the crib with 1:30 left. Mary's next up...and she makes it through the course with little trouble, pouring more milk than anyone else into the bottle. A minute left, and Donnell is the next to go. He...falls off the spinners again and loses all of his milk! And with 15 seconds left, there's not enough time for another baby so...

GAME OVER!

Out come the Yellow Penguins to hear the results, and here comes Judge Bob with the milk bottles. Highest one wins. He peels off the labels of the bottles and...

YELLOW PENGUIN WIN!

Three in a row for the Yellow Penguins, and now it's time for rewards and punishments. The reward for the winners? They will go to a Japanese village known for making the best soba noodles in Japan! (And I have to say, that would be the best reward for me. I love some good Japanese soba noodles with some teriyaki chicken...yum!) But for the losers...they're going to be shelling clams, plus the usual penalty of having to nominate two people for elimination.

Back at the house, the Green Monkeys discuss the immunity agreement that Meaghan made, Donnell feeling that Mary shouldn't be up for elimination considering how well she did in the game. And Mary's wondering herself whether she should stick with it, knowing that her chances against Donnell in a physical game are slim. Meaghan feels that Mary and Donnell will go back on their word, but only time will tell.

Time for the reward, and the Yellow Penguins meet Tony at a village, where the architecture is from the 8th century. The village they're in is where soba noodles originated, and they'll be learning how to make them from their own personal soba master. They watch as the master starts folding the flour in a big wooden bowl, rolls it out onto the table, and cuts it into thin noodles. They wonder what the Green Monkeys are doing...

The Green Monkeys head up to their punishment, smelling the clams well before they get there. They enter what seems to be a garage, where a group of older women are cutting clams from their shells (while the clams are still alive, mind you). Meaghan's about to get sick, and Donnell realizes this will not be fun.

Back at the reward, the soba master tells the Yellow Penguins that he'll cook lunch for them, making them a noodle bowl with some onions and wasabi. The winners enjoy their lunch, not having tasted noodles that good before. On the other hand, the losers are knee deep in clams, trying to figure out how to get them out of the shells. There are quite a few gag shots as they scrape the still living clams from their shells, Meaghan commenting that she's glad she doesn't eat seafood. Just when they think they're done though, in comes another huge bucket of clams for them to work with. Soon enough, they head back to Toho Studios, with 30 minutes to go until the Elimination Game starts.

Mary heads off to take a few moments by herself, different people telling her whether she should or shouldn't honor the immunity deal. The contestants change and head out to the set, even though they haven't decided on who to nominate yet. Out they come to meet Rome, and it's time for Mary to make her decision. She decides to nominate...herself and Donnell, keeping with the immunity pact. So Meaghan is safe, and she's still in the running for $250,000. But for Mary and Donnell, off come the shirts, and on go the chicken heads, because it's time for...

BIG CHICKEN BUTT SCRAMBLE

The players will cover themselves in oil. When the clock starts, they'll have 2 minutes to cover themselves in feathers, then pop 'eggs' using only their rear ends. Most balloons popped in 2 minutes wins.

Of course, we all know Judge Bob, and it seems that Donnell says he had a drink with Judge Bob the night before. Is that true, Judge Bob? [Bob makes an 'X' with his arms] And going first will be...Mary, so Donnell will wait backstage.

First thing to do is for Mary to oil herself up...Judge Bob says she's okay, so she gets ready at the slide. Her time starts when she goes down the slide, so...

GAME START!

Mary slides down and covers herself in feathers, and she's ready to start popping eggs at 1:45. Her first three get popped no problem, and she goes on a fairly good run, getting 8 with 1 minute left. She gets her ninth, then slips on the floor. She starts having trouble then, not able to pop another, until finally she's able to get one more with 2 seconds left on the clock.

GAME OVER!

Mary got 10, so Donnell need to beat that if he wants to stay in the game. Donnell's ready at the top, so time for him to oil up. Rome says that the oil is good for your skin...Judge Bob uses it every night! Donnell's ready, the audience is ready, so...

GAME START!

He slides down, and gets the OK at 1:50 to start popping eggs. He has a little trouble with his first, but pops it fairly quickly, knocking out 2-7 pretty quickly as well. He tries for an 8th, but completely leaps over the egg, missing it. He does get it though, popping his ninth as well. He has a little trouble with the tenth, but gets it, then easily pops his eleventh with time to spare, ending the game early.

GAME OVER!

DONNELL WIN!

Mary's sad, because she wanted to stay in Japan and on Majide, but there's nothing she can do. But there is one way to turn that frown upside down...

SAYONARA!

Down the slide come the Sayonara Boys, rushing over to Mary to pick her up and take her off the set. Donnell stays in the game with a chance at 25 million yen, while Mary chicken dances back to America. Next week, the Majide set becomes a complete zoo!

But until then, this is Tom Beals, and everybody say it! Hai [slicks hair back], Majide! [ / | | ' ' ]
