Last time, another rude awakening led to
another win for the women in the Challenge. But things go south quickly
(and not just because of DeMarco's injury), and both teams had to
nominate AGAIN. Rather than give Ramsay something to think about, Simone
spares us ALL further disaster and bows out, leaving 17 to compete.
The next day, Ramsay wants to show everyone
something... and it begins to rain pennies in Hell's Kitchen. Must be
the lost fourth plague of Culver City. In total, in the middle of the
dining room are 200,000 pennies, or $2000 worth of wasted food from last
night's service. Let this be a lesson that Ramsay will not tolerate such
failures again.
CHALLENGE #4: Ravioli
After being shown how to make proper
lobster ravioli, which is a special on tonight's Steak Night service,
each team must pair their members up to create 10 perfect ravioli
plates. The first team to do so wins. Because the men have one extra,
someone will be playing in threes.
The teams draw to a 9-9 tie. The men's
tiebreaking dish... is TOO THICK. The women's... is perfect.
WINNERS: RED TEAM
The ladies are going to spend a day at a
Beverly Hills mansion, complete with a gourmet lunch. The men are going
to spend the day wrapping the pennies for JP to take to the bank. We're
guessing. They also have to clean and prep both kitchens ahead of
tonight's service.
Tonight is steak night at HK. If you
don't have a cow, you may yet survive. If you do... well, you saw what
happened so far this season.
"Jean Philippe... Open Hell's Kitchen,
please."
DINNER SERVICE #4: Steak Night
In addition to the HK steak night menu,
there will be a special tableside appetizer of chopped salad and
baby-back ribs. Handling duties on those... Beth & Rochelle for the reds
and Gabriel & Scott for the blues.
Starting out in the Red Kitchen, and Bev
delivers a salty risotto. Joy makes up for it with the rest of her apps.
While they're finally starting to get a rhythm together, the men still
can't find their mojo. Mike is turned away at every turn, but when he
actually does get to help out in the kitchen, the first thing he
produces is a risotto with no lobster. To add to their woes: cold crab
cakes and watery ravioli. Ralph and Richard are sent to the bar to, all
together now... EAT THEIR MISTAKES.
Anton is called up to the app station,
and the men finally get some plates going, but while the women
continually churn out quality entrees, Jason undercooks a steak. BAD
Jason.
The women, on the other hand, are closing
in on the finish line.. and CROSS IT! GOOD ladies! You win the service!
Now do us and the men a solid and HELP THEM FINISH.
As previously stated, the women win the
service hands down, and Joy & Melanie were singled out for their superb
performance. Meanwhile, the men have to come together and nominate two
for elimination.
ELIMINATION #4
Ralph nominates Mike and DeMarco. Instead
of debating why he should stay, Mike decides to make a game play and ask
to be put with the ladies - a move that sends shock and horror to their
faces. You should know by now that game plays do not work in Hell's
Kitchen. MIKE... you're gone.
"There once was a cook named Mike.
He couldn't cook fish or any other dish, so I told him to take a hike."
