A happy birthday for Jessica indeed. They
get to go to dinner at Gordon Ramsay's LA restaurant, London West
Hollywood. The men are going to have to clean the kitchen and dining
room in preparation for their opening tomorrow night. Speaking of...
let's fast-forward a bit to...
"JP... Open Hell's Kitchen, please."
DINNER SERVICE #1
As a reminder, each team is given one day
to study the recipes of Hell's Kitchen. They'll also have their own JA
Henckel knife kits. What they need to do, though, is work on their
teamwork.
In addition to the classic HK menu, there
will be tableside Caesar salad. Melanie and Chris will handle those
duties.
Gaurav is first to the pass with his
risotto... runniy. Lobster tail isn't any better. Neither is the
scallop. The Red team is not faring any better, thanks to Nicole's
rubbery scallops. Gaurav's second risotto... has too much pepper. Second
time with the scallops, and Nicole has checked out.
Forty-five minutes in, and not a single
appetizer has left the kitchen. And Gaurav has licked his fingers off of
the risotto AND put them back in. An hour in, and the only food hitting
tables are salads and breads. Meanwhile, the Reds are busy yelling
at each other. No communication whatsoever. And DeMarco's lobster
tail... still not up to par. Nicole's lobster... is just going in, when
Joy says she can cook it in 45 seconds. Good luck with that. Yep. Raw
lobster. That sends the first Reds - Sandra, Joy, and Nicole - upstairs.
Back in the Blue kitchen, another plate
of rubber scallops sends the entire team to the bleachers.
Back in the Red kitchen, Ramsay is hoping
for something... ANYTHING... to crow about. In the worst opening night
in the history of Hell's Kitchen, we have ZERO food going out of both
kitchens. "I can't stand the embarrassment any longer.... Shut it down."
Both kitchens are charged with two
nominees.
ELIMINATION #1
Anton nominates G and DeMarco for the
Blue Team. Kashia nominates Sandra and Nicole.
Nicole says she has passion and desire.
Sandra says she followed direction and "babied" the fish station. Gaurav
says that he has talent and passion and attitude. "You forgot fingers."
DeMarco says they had a system.
Ultimately, the fast fingers of GAURAV
was an unforgivable sin.
"There's so many things about India that
I love. It's a shame Gaurav isn't one of them."
WINNERS: .... another tie! The Sudarsos &
the Kaufmans will split the money! So far, the Kaufmans are up to $3500
in bonuses.
