"Episode 2.19" - October 30

Last time, Marco Ceballos got his dream of a Mexican restaurant in the form of $76,000... at the expense of $300,000. Now Tracee Jones, a basketball coach at Tennessee State University is at the deal, having given up $130,000 for two more cases. If you recall, she chose her number in college, #12

?

12

Tracee's Case

Two cases to open... starting now.

21

$100,000

Smaller than the bank amount...

4

$10

Now we're at the singleton stage... With a dealer's board... The banker offers...

BANK OFFER
$189,000

$ .01 $ 10,000
$ 50 $ 500,000
$ 300 $ 1,000,000

If Tracee takes the deal, then she wins $189,000. That's real money. She needs a time out courtesy of an all-too-convenient-to-just-be-random picture message from her players. Okay, time out over.

The current offer is vacation, car, and some money back to the school. She's got a 1 in 3 shot at more, so... no deal.

One to go.

24

From newbie model Kelly...

BANOODLES!

Bank offer... Skyward. The button swells to...

BANK OFFER
$265,000

$ .01 $ 10,000
$ 50 $ 500,000
$ 300 $ 1,000,000

Now the boss wants to deal. Does the coach, though? There's a 2 in 5 chance of more than that. And Tracee's beginning to panic. Bubba says he's gonna back her... Mom says to deal... "If you're not sure, take the deal!" Bubba says, going contrary to basic strategy, "When in doubt, play it out."

DEAL for $265,000! But was it the right decision?

Patricia had... $500,000. Banker would've dropped the offer to $231,000. Pilar had.... $50. Bank offer would've rose to $361,000. Lindsay C. had... $300. Bank would've offered... $500,000. In Tracee's case...

$1,000,000

12

Tracee's Case

The big one. She sold the million-dollar case... But the $265,000 she does have is real.

Next, Howie explains that the audition process is a painstakingly involved one, one that not even he has a grasp on. So he goes out to the audience and meets a man by the name of Kevin O'Bryan from New York City. He's in the midst of auditioning, and his wife is eight months pregnant.

Now to meet the newest dealer... KEVIN O'BRYAN! And he's dumbfounded. He swears he had no idea. "No! This is an audition!" No, Kevin, this is, pardon the pun, the real deal. He wants to move out of the parents' basement.

Kevin wants #5.
