Just before we begin, yesterday, our locker room mistress Samantha Harris just gave birth to a baby girl, so that means Drew lachey will play the 12th man (for college football fans) until Sam comes back. After a routine by the pros, the 5th season begins in 5...4...3...2...1...BLAST-OFF!

The girls will go first tonight doing a fox trot or a cha-cha, meaning the boys will lay out tonight. Up first, Jennie & Derek doing a cha-cha to "Uptown Girl" by Billy Joel. Derek whisltes for Jennie and does a slide. Jennie did a split and a quick dip. And for the first time, we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said she really did well, Len said it overcame it beautifully, and Bruno said she's really a yummy mummy. Can we please send in Pac-Man for the numbers:

CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 21
Good score to start.

And 2nd, Josie & Alec doing a foxtrot to "Walking My baby Back Home." Josie did a few snaps and did a music box pose before she went under. Now let's go over to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was a little out of element, Len said it was too soft, and Bruno needs to spread her wings & go. Let's go fly with Fox McCloud to the scoreboard:

CARRIE: 6
LEN: 5
BRUNO: 5
Total Score: 16
Not good.

3rd, Sabrina & Mark doing a cha-cha to "Don't Cha..." (get it?) By the Pussycat Dolls. after a cool intro, Sabrina did a split and a hat toss. She even did a back-split too. To the judges we split over. Carrie said it was fierce, Len said it was very, very good and Bruno said it was a witching brown dynamo. Fire up the numbers!

CARRIE: 9
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 9
Total Score: 26
And they take the lead.

And up 4th is Marie & Jonathan doing a foxtrot to "I Hear A Symphony" by The Supremes. All marie did was sit on Jonathan's knee and blow a kiss to the judges. Did the judges give love back? Carrie Ann said the lines were beautiful, Len said it was a lovely present, and Bruno said it was classy & sassy. Scoreboard time!

CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 21
Good for 2nd place.

Taking the 5 spot is Melanie & Max doing a cha-cha to "Pride" by Aretha Franklin. After a solo my Mel B, the rest was good & fast. Let's get to the judges faster. Carrie Ann said the energy was out there, Len liked it a lot and Bruno siad the feisty kitty was out. Here's the scoreboard:

CARRIE: 8
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 8
Total Score: 21
And they go for 2nd place.

Batting cleanup for the girls is Jane & Tony taking the last foxtrot to "Let's Fall In Love." The only highlight I saw was a back dip to the floor by Jane. Let's go to the judges. Carrie Ann said it breathed so full of life, Len said it was light & beautiful, and Bruno said it was the essence of elegance. One last burst to the scoreboard, shall we?

CARRIE: 8
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 8
Total Score: 24
And it's a tie for 2nd place.

Yeah, I know, the recap. Here it is. Sabrina & Mark are on top with 26, Jane & Melanie are tied for 2nd with 24, a couple of 21s score on Jennie & Marie and Josie is way back with 16. That's only the beginning. Wait until the guys show off tomorrow. Talk to ya later, Bye!
