Week 3: It's Lucky To Read to Kids With Your Nook or Kindle
October 3

Once upon a time, in a land far far away....okay, make that Los Angeles, CA...there lived 10 stars and dance professionals all doing "The Most Memorable Year of Their Lives" on DWTS. And we're here to relive your best years including mines. So with that said, hop in the TARDIS and let's go.

Up first is Rob & Cheryl doing a foxtrot to "Fly Me To The Moon" by Frank Sinatra. One highlight you might find at the end is both getting up to the entryway and seeing them on the moon. Are they moonwalking? I guess not. Let's walk over to the juidges. Carrie Ann said that each week he general makes progress, Len said he puts the dash in Kardashian and Bruno said he gets reminded of Guys & Dolls. Here's your little check of the boards:

CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 24
And they burst out in front first!

Next up, Chynna & Tony doing a rumba to "Hold On" by her old group, Wilson Phillips. Chynna looks in a mirror and reflected the way of her career 20 years ago. Now let's fast forward to the judges. Carrie Ann said she gave us more, Len said if she dances like that, she'll be here for weeks and Bruno said she belongs in a museum. Let's bust out the numbers.

CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 Total Score: 26
And they're now in the lead!

Another rumba comes courtesy of Chaz & Lacey doing "Laugh At Me" by Chaz's late dad, Sonny Bono. They took it into the 60's and had flower power with this routine. On to the judges. Carrie Ann said he looked distracted, Len said he came back and gave it his all and Bruno said he looked a bit lost at some moments. Now we find the scoreboard...

CARRIE ANN: 6 LEN: 6 BRUNO: 6 Total Score: 18
Sent to the basement!

Next, a samba by Kristin & Mark to "Crazy In Love" by Beyonce w/Jay-Z. They brought all the high energy to this routine. And we move ahead to the judges. Carrie Ann said she did pretty darn good, Len said it was only 20% of the dance and Bruno said it was crazy...something. Here's the numbers:

CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 24
It's a tie for 2nd place.

Carson & Anna tango to "It's My Life" by No Doubt. Anna revealed Carson his pink suit and by the end, she took off Anna's shoe. Now let's go to the judges. Carrie Ann said she loved her, Len said he put the "Boy" in flamboyant, and Bruno said it was insanely brilliant. Here comes teh numbers...

CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 23
They go into 3rd place for that effort.

Here comes J.R. & Karina doing a rumba to "If You're Reading This" by Tim McGraw. For a while, Karina turned a 1/2 split into a wheel spin and by the end, she was left alone in the dark, but let's shed light with the judges. Carrie Ann said it was the honest dances she's seen, Len said J.R. is totally unexpected and Bruno said he danced from the heart. Revive the scoreboards!

CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 9 Total Score: 26
They tie for the lead!

Nancy & Tristan will waltz to "Moon River" by Andy Williams. In order to keep her score up, she provided elegance dedicated to her family. Now isn't that nice? Ok, to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was like watching a live action lullaby, Len said she showed the emotion of the dance and Bruno said it was soft & dreamy. Let's hit the boards...hard!

CARRIE ANN: 7 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 7 Total Score: 21
They get 4th as a result.

Next is Ricki & Derek doing a rumba to "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles. The smoke machine is cued up and both did arm work. Everything else was nice. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said it looked fierce, Len said she danced it so well, and Bruno said every step was expressive as a word in a poem. Score line....

CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 Total Score: 27
And they catapult into the lead!

Here comes Hope & Maks dancing a cha-cha to "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" by Enrique Iglesias. Hope flirted around Maks in a chair and Hope did well in a black dress somewhat reminiscent of a old western. Here go the judges. Carrie Ann asked her to work on her walk, Len said the actual one was very, very good and Bruno said the minz is out of the cage. Out come the numbers!

CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 24
It's now a 3-way tie for 3rd place!

To end the whole thing, David & Kym do a rumba to "Ooh Child" by The 5 Stairsteps. David was on a park bench and revived with a bit of arm work and by the end, Kym did a floor sweep. Now we clean up with the judges. Carrie Ann said it had raw emotion that was pure & honest, Len said it was a mix of motion and emotion and Bruno said it brought sensitivity. Now the scoreboard:

CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 24
Unbeliveable! A 4-way tie for 3rd!

And they all lived happily ever after, but not before we check the final leaderboard: Ricki out in front with 27, Chynna & JR with 26, David, Hope, Kristin & Rob all have 24, Carson with 23, Nancy with 21 and Chaz in dead last with 18. In the future, one couple is stuck in the past on our results show. That future is tomorrow. See you later.
