Week 3: Three Lives I Wish I'd Never Lose
April 4

On MLK Jr. Memorial Day, We bring in the rumba, the paso doble and the waltz. On the week after Wrestlemania, we move on after Psycho Mike is gone. It's hard to believe we're in April and week 3 of DWTS is beginning to shape up. Let's begin the party!

Let's start with Wendy & Tony doing a foxtrot to "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life." I don't know why they snuck it in there, but here goes. Tony turns on the boombox and it wasn't a but good like it did in week 1. Let's go to the judges. Carrie Ann said she took a step back this week, Len said it was a struggle and Bruno said it looked like put down roots at times. Let's harvest the scoreboard:

CARRIE ANN: 5 LEN: 5 BRUNO: 5 Total Score: 15
Not a good way to start it out.

2nd, Chelsea & mark will dance another routine snuck in....The cha-cha. The song is....believe it or not, "Chelsea" by The Summer Set. Mark slinked lower by the leg and did some sick spins. Way to go, mark the shark. Let's sink our teeth into the judges. Carrie Ann said she looks like a baby Julianne Hough, Len said it's her best dance and Bruno said Chelsea! Chelsea! Sexy! Sexy! Talk about being hyper. Scoreboard!

CARRIE: 7 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 23
And they shoot into the lead!

Chris & Cheryl will rumba to "Let It Be" by The Beatles. Chris turns on an old record players with a picture of her mom next to it and it was all dancing from here. Since we get to go to the judges, I'll go with Len first. He said the lines were excellent, Bruno said naked vulnerability....okay, and Carrie Ann cries as a tribute to her mom. Let's wash the scoreboard with ink....

CARRIE: 7 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 22
They take up 2nd place.

Another rumba takes place. This time, Kendra & Louis dancing to "You & Me" by Musiq Soulchild. They come out of smoke, but Kendra seems to have disappeared. She later reappeared seconds later. Talk about magic. Let's zap to the judges. carrie Ann said it was hot x 3, Len said it was a little unstable and Bruno said it was hot and arousing. Let's light the numbers up.

CARRIE: 8 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 23
And they tie for the lead!

Here's another rumba. This time, from Romeo & Chelsie doing "I'll Be There" by The Jackson 5. Romeo squatted down for a bit when CHelsie appeared out of smoke. It all ended when he kissed to the skycam. Now we're grounded with the judges. Carrie Ann said There was something really nice by the way you committed to the emotion, Len said it was a huge step back and Bruno said he really put his heart & soul into it. Let's put the numbers in there:

CARRIE: 7 LEN: 6 BRUNO: 7 Total Score: 20
And they stay one position out of last place!

Hines & Kym get the only samba of the night to "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind & Fire. After Kym doing the intro, it was party time! Kym banged her head like a punk rocker and both did arm work before Kym did twirls. Even more arm work came and Kym did a back split before it all ended with Hines waving a yellow dress piece. Not one samba roll came throughout the whole time, bu we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said he's been dancing the samba his entire life, Len is proud of him and Bruno said it was an expression of happiness. Let's see how happy'll get from these scores:

CARRIE: 9 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 25
And they're now leaders!

Petra & Dmitry take the only waltz to "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban. In about 1 minute and 50 seconds, they killed it with grace and elegance. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said her heart is all over the movement, Len said it had grace & elegance...hey! I was right, too, and Bruno said she's a vision from heaven. Look up at the scoreboard:

CARRIE: 8 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 8 Total Score: 25
and they tie for the lead!

Another one-off in the world of DWTS has to be the paso doble, and Sugar Ray & Anna do that by dancing to "My Prerogative" by Bobby Brown. An introduction by Michael Buffer? Where's Bruce Buffer or Howard Finkel? Anyways, Sugar Ray came out and Anna helped him throw down the gauntlet before doing this routine and ending it with Sugar Ray punching on the punching bag. Let's hit up with the judges. Carrie Ann said she saw a lot of improvement, Len said he came otu tonight stronger and Bruno said Raging bull fighting spirit got you back in spirit. Here's your score update:

CARRIE: 7 LEN: 6 BRUNO: 7 Total Score: 20
And they tie for 4th place.

Kirstie & Maks rumba to "Over The Rainbow." By the first few seconds of the routine...Maks fell down, but recovered. Now imagine why you partner with a 60-year old partner with a ton of weight. We go on to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was the perfect song choice, Len said she came back stronger and Bruno said she can't keep good talent down. The numbers say:

CARRIE: 7 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 7 Total Score: 21
It's now a new spot for 4th place.

To end the night, Ralph & Karina rumba to "Stay Gold" by Stevie Wonder. Ralph continued to stay in the race by doing this routine which includes a slow split by Karina. Now we split to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was a very sweet rumba, Len said it needs a tad more refinement and Bruno said his hands are like spatulas. Let's flip the numbers....

CARRIE: 7 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 7 Total Score: 21
THey now tie for 4th place.

It's all over. Show's over. Party's over. The final tally: Hines & Petra with 25, Kendra with 23, Chris with 22, 21s go to Ralph & Kirstie, Romeo & Sugar Ray with 20 and Wendy with 15. SO who'll be the victim of dance? The results show will know. See you guys tomorrow.
