The First Offensive

All 14 dancers have been recruited, suited up and ready for battle. They're now ready to fire their first shots thanks to Bruno & Carrie Ann. One's reputation is at stake. The war now continues.

All 14 can't be together at the same time and they have to. That's why "Shake your Groove Thing" by Peaches & Herb kicks things off with a bang. 12 must go and 1 must go home. According to the Chain Reaction rulebook of genders, the guys go first. All of them will do "Hold On, I'm Coming." And they're coming with flips and vocally challenged stylings. Now it's time to break up like a plate. Maxx, Qis, Bradley, and Chris will do "Larger Than Life" by the Backstreet Boys. They look like a boy band from the past decade, don't it? But Carrie Ann said Qi messed it up, and Bruno said Maxx & Bradley giving ways to improve.

Zack, Tony & Phillip are up doing "Hard to Handle" by the Black Crowes. Zack has the brother with Down Syndrome, and Tony came to LA with nothing but the shirt on his back. That's love. Performance-wise, Carrie Ann said the voices are the strongest, which means the ladies have a chance to improve in the next segment, but first, we pick the guys.

The envelopes open.....and Carrie Ann gets the first selection which is.....Bradley......and Bruno is next with......Zack, the leading man and the final pick goes to...............Tony, thanks to Bruno, which means Max, Phillip and Qis must survive to stay alive later on.

Now the girls get their turn. Why did they not go first? Oh, well. The sensational 7....yes, the sensational 7 will do "Bad Girls" by Donna Summer. And they were Bad To The Bone. When they came out of their own silhouettes, they did what they could. Bruno called Lacey & Mariel the 2 biggest road runners, but Carrie Ann wants more work like Wile E. Coyote and Elizabeth is one of them.

Kelsey, Corina, Allysa and Charity will do "The Beat Goes on" by The whis, er, Sonny & Cher. It was in a 60's kind of way. Charity's dad is a CCR artist and Allysa got in as an accident. Carrie Ann said it was a lot of flat notes, but Allysa gave it fizz and to Bruno, it was ditto for Kelsey. The next 3 are up. Mariel, whose mom was to cancer, Lacey and Elizabeth, who is a fmaily adopter will do "Lady Marmalade" by Labelle, and they look good in their Supremes get-up. Bruno says now they're in business. But let's get down to some serious business. By the envelopes....Bruno goes first this time and he gets....Lacey. Carrie Ann will be up and she gets........Mariel. Bruno's last pick.......Kelsey. And Carrie Ann's.........Elizbaeth. With 3 guys & 3 girls left, this isn't the time for "Match Game." This is "Dance War," and elimination is bound for it.

The 3 girls will go first and they'll do "Survivor" by Destiny's child. These girls have the need to survive. The guys will do the same by doing "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. For 1, it won't be and let's get to it. By the power of the envelopes......Bruno goes 1st. He gets.....................Phillip & Karina. Carrie Ann will go last and she gets................Keith & Allysa. That means Maxx & Karina are long gone. I was rooting for Maxx to be on either team, but there it is people. Your Lakers vs. Knicks, Your Cowboys vs. Redskins, your Thrashers vs. Ducks, your Braves vs. Phillies, your Tar Heels vs. Blue Devils, and next week, it's on like a lightbulb! When the war ends, the real game begins.
