You're Bacon Me Crazy
March 1 |
March has arrived at Alton
Brown’s International House of SabotageTM, so we have
Dean, Derek, Dylan and Jenny all claiming their $25,000
stipend for this week’s shenanigans.
We start this week with an item wrapped in bacon. (JC
note: You know about me, quad bypass, no bacon.) Dylan,
who had no bacon, pays $13,000 to swap out three baskets
- all with the help of Derek and Dean. Jenny then buys
the next two sabotages, paying $5,500 to make Derek use
a prep table from plastic wrap and $7,900 to force Dean
use tools on his fingers. Enter from the Hermetically
Sealed Porch of Funk and Wagnall's Mayonnaise Jar judge
Antonia Lofasca, who eliminates Dylan and $12,000 goes
poof.
Dean and Derek each hold $25,000, and Jenny has $11,600
as we enter the second round, and a meal fit for a
cartoon fat cat, lasagna. Dean spends $1,500 to make
Jenny do everything in a rolling racing chair (probably
in honor of the start of the NASCAR season, Dino) and
Derek spends $7,100 to replace Dean’s basket with seven
layer dip. In the mid-round auction, Derek is made to
make a bottle of wine I Love Lucy style thanks to Dean’s
$7,000 purchase. Antonia returns, and eliminates Jenny,
losing $11,600 in the process.
Who’s left? Derek, who has $17,900 and Dean, with
$16,500, just in time for black and white cookies, of
which Derek pays $9,000 for a prep table that is black
and white for Dean to use both hands, while Dean pays
$4,000 to make Derek dribble a soccer ball. So Dean has
$11,500 in his bank, while Derek holds $8,900. Antonia
tastes the cookies and decides the winner to be Derek.
There’s going to be more of the same next week, so why
don’t you join us for it, won’t you?
