In It To Twin It
November 23 |
No, you’re not seeing double
inside Alton Brown’s International House of Sabotage TM
, we have two sets of twins this week. There’s Nate and
Nick on one side, while we have Zack and Sammy on the
other side, and they get their usual $25,000 bankrolls.
Our first dish is calzone. Zack pays $6,500 to avoid the
triple trouble area forcing Nate to cook, Nick to prep
and Sammy to the equipment area to start, then Sammy
pays $1,000 to replace the cheese in Nate’s calzone with
tiramisu. Antonia Lofaso enters from the hermetically
sealed porch for Funk and Wagnall’s Mayonnaise Jar, and
cuts Nick, bringing back all $25,000 of his cash money.
Nate still has $25,000, Sammy has $24,000 and Zack holds
onto $18,500 entering round two, which is a Caribbean
dinner. (Lord have mercy!) Zack pays $5,700 to give Nate
a treasure chest of canned goods and rum. Then Nate pays
$7,300 to make Zack and Sammy use a floating prep table
for two, then in the mid-round auction, Nate gives
$2,600 to make Zach and Sammy “walk the planks”. Hello
again, Antonia, and goodbye to Nate who surrenders
$15,100.
Our lone set of twins are Sammy with $24,000 and Zack
with $13,400. And for this final round, we’re making a
birthday cake in 45 minutes. Sammy pays $1,300 to make
Zack use the famous Cutthroat Kitchen Kiddie Kitchen,
while Zack spends $3,000 to make Sammy light and blow
out all the trick candles on a large birthday cake, or
as we call it, a forest fire. So at stake is $22,700 for
Sammy, while Zack has $10,400. Antonia tastes the cakes,
and picks Zack for the win.
Shall we meet next Sunday amongst the leftovers? Happy
Thanksgiving to you and your family.
