Anything But a Cakewalk
July 6 |
Enzo, Cori, Jenard and Adam
have come to Alton Brown’s International House of
Sabotageᵀᴹ and get their bankroll of $25,000.
In the leadoff spot this evening, a steak dinner. Cori
spends $7,300 to swap out steak with veggies for Enzo,
ribeye scraps for Jenard and “SOS” (chipped beef) for
Adam, while Enzo spends $6,500 to make Cori add thin
wafer chocolate mints to her dinner, but thanks to
Jenard, both Enzo and Cori cook for a dinner for two for
$6,200. And look everyone, Simon Mujamdar is here to
judge, and Simon says Cori must bring back her $17,700..
Adam has his original stash of $25,000 while Jenard,
a/k/a “The Love Chef”, has retained $18,800 and Enzo has
$18,500 as we come into the second round, which will be
biscuits and gravy, needless to say one of Dino
Alexander’s favorite meals, but Enzo misheard the
challenge as “briskets and gravy”. Anywho, Jenard pays
$4,100 to make Adam mix and cook from gravy boats, while
Adam enters at $4,000 for the use of a large whisk as
the sole hand tool in the whole round to use for Enzo.
And say goodbye to Adam, who brings back $21,000.
Checking the tote board heading into the last challenge,
we see Enzo with $18,500 but Jenard is hanging in there
with $14,700. And we’ll give the survivors 45 minutes to
make an ice cream cake. Enzo pays $2,000 to make Jenard
cook and mix his baking with ice cream cones, but The
Love Chef returns that favor by making Enzo walk on cake
boxes for $3,500. Oh, by the way, step off the boxes?
You’ll be fined $500. Enzo does this twice, and loses a
grand. So on the line is a five figure payday for the
winner, $15,500 for Enzo and Jenard with $11,200. And
Simon’s final decision is Jenard as the winner.
More hilariousness in the torture chamber of cooking
next week.
