(C-Note: The following episode was shown on
My Network TV a couple of weeks back, but we missed it, so... here you
go.) Geoff Wolinetz is a 33 year
old Director of Digital Operations. He wants to see if Khamani can
digitize Jeff into $250,000.
4th Grade Earth Science: How many hours of direct sunlight does the
SOuth Pole receive on June 21st: 0, 13, or 29? Jeff says 0, and he's got
a good start. Total: $3,500.
3rd Grade Astronomy: True or False: A solar eclipse occurs when the sun
passes between the Earth and the Moon. Jeff doesn't think it's true.
He's right again. Total: $6,000.
1st Grade Nature: What flower in this picture is the state flower of
Illinois, New Jersey and Wisconsin? Jeff says Violet, thinking that
Khamani has his back for a Save. Jeff doesn't need it - he's right!
Total: $6,500.
Khamani can't play anymore. Taylar is the next person to walk into the
Geoff zone.
2nd Grade Vocabulary: If Khamani is described as being "fleet of foot",
what does that say about him: He has big feet, He runs fast, or He walks
frequently? Geoff thinks he runs fast, and Geoff is running fast to more
money. Total: $7,500.
5th Grade World Geography: Buenos Aires is the Capital and largest city
of what South American Country? Geoff quickly goes for Argentina, and
he's right again! Total: $12,500.
5th Grade Math: Taylar has a box of 35 red and green candles. If the
ratio of red to green is 3 to 4, how many green candles are there? It
should by 20, which is what Geoff says. He's right again! Total:
$17,500.
Taylar is all done. Like Khamani, she didn't do anything. Maybe Kevin
will do something for the last 4 questions.
4th Grade Social Studies: Which branch of Congress must approve the
nomination of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice? Geoff says The Senate, and
he's right again! Total: $21,000.
3rd grade Ancient Cultures: The Roman numeral XXIX represents what
number? That would be 29. Geoff goes for Super Bowl 29. Either way, he's
right again! Total: $23,500.
2nd Grade English: What word in the following sentence needs a
punctuation mark to make it grammatically correct: 'Its a shame if you
don't win big today'? Geoff says that its needs an apostrophe. It DOES
need one, and he may need a wheelbarrow for the money. Total: $24,500.
Only 1 away from the shot at $250,000.
1st grade U.S. Geography: What U.S. state has a name that means 'Land of
the Indians'? It sounds like Indiana to him. It sounds like 25 G's to
me. Total: $25,000!
Not only did Geoff run the table, he ran it without using any cheats.
now will he go for $250,000 in the Subject of World History? YES HE
WILL! Here's the question: What Communist leader is shown in this
picture? It's Nikita Khrushchev, the shoe-banger at the U.N.. Geoff says
Nikita Kruschev...AND GEOFF WOLINETZ HAS WON $250,000!!!!!! NICE GOING,
GEOFF!!!! Geoff does some breakdancing and then kisses his wife.
AwwwwBarf. Can we do it again tomorrow? Join us and see...

One more Hartpence Hoedown for the
road...
Herzog (Michaelle,
Dick, Naomie, Cherie, Jordan)
Fremont, CA |
Hartpence (Ricky,
Marla, Kevin, Larry, Diane)
parts unknown
$3245, four days |
As a reminder... if the Hartpences
win this game, they're driving away in the Chrysler 300M.
Bullseye Round
$1000: something that makes a person's nose run. Ricky catches a
COLD for $1000.
$2000: something that starts with "in your". Neither thought of
the taunt..... IN YOUR FACE.
$3000: something men do when they start to go bald. Naomi WEARS A
HAT for $3000.
$4000: an activity people take up when they retire. Kevin makes
like O'Hurley and GOLFS for $4000 more.
$5000: the worst thing to ride on when you have an upset tummy.
Diane closes it with CARNIVAL RIDES, giving the Hartpence family
$25,000 to the $18,000 that the Herzogs racked up.
Single: a reason you might have to get your picture taken.
1. Driver's license 44
5. Family event 6
2. Passport 28
6. School/Picture ID 4
3. Wedding 7
7. Jail/Mug shot 2
4. Graduation 6
Double: something that's better in the dark.
1. Canoodling 27
5. Watching TV 7
2. Movie/Theater 25 6. Stargazing 5
3. Sleeping 22
7. Fireworks 3
4. Candlelight 7
Triple: a type of wave.

5. Permanent/Hair 5
2. Ocean wave 10
6. Heat wave 4
3. Hand wave 8
7. Microwave 4
4. Sound wave 6
8. Radio wave 3
The #1, #3, #5 answers were answered by the Hartpence family in
the final round, while the Herzog family attempted to force sudden
death, but wave by a boat didn't make the survey and the Hartpence
family won their Chrysler. In Fast Money, Marla & Larry attempted
to win $25,000, but Larry got caught on two goose eggs and
couldn't win the money and had to settle for another $775, giving
them a car and a final cash total of $4,020. In total, they take
away $41,905 in cash and car. |

The champ has two. Can he pick up a
third?
Chris Rodrigues
New Bedford, MA
personal banking representative
$22,798, two days |
Røb Severson
St. Louis
custodial facilitator |
Magdalen Powers
Salem, OR
writer/teacher/editor |
Chris starts with $200 Fictional
Characters, where Røb finds the first Daily Double under $400. He
bets the max of $1000 on this: this inhabitant of 221B Baker
Street had been a surgeon in the British Army. "Who is Dr.
Watson?" Correct for $1200! Chris would catch up and surpass Røb
at the half with $5800 to his $4400. Magdalen is not too far
behind with $3400, but she's far enough to start Double
Jeopardy!...
... with $400 Maker's Mark. Chris
finds the first Daily Double under $2000 At the "Bar". He bets
$1020 (he lost a 20 on the flight west) on this: one of the best
sellers in its field, its stock symbol is BKS. "What is Bachley's?"
He's going to lose a few more 20s because he didn't remember the
clue. It was Barnes & Noble, leaving him with $7980. He can recoup
his losses with the second Daily Double under $1200 Patron. He
bets $1300 on this: Harry Kessler, known as "The Red Count", was a
patron of this Norwegian artist who painted him using lots of red.
"Who is Rembrandt?" No, it was Edvard Munch, leaving him with
$7080. At the end of the round, Chris would rally to $18,680. With
Røb at $7600 and Magdalen at $8600, it's Chris' game to lose.
Final Jeopardy! in "Movies &
Dance": derived from other traditional dances and still
popular today, the Syrtaki was created for this 1964 movie. Correct
response: what is "Zorba the Greek"?
Ironically, Chris wagers the $20 he
lost TWICE in his Jeopardy! pursuit and gets it back... along with
a lot more. He wins another $18,700 to go to $41,498 for three
days. |

Wayne is back for this Tuesday
episode. Jennifer (hippie with afro) and Sharon (Santa Babe) are
with us for the first time. Wayne tells Jennifer that she's the
boss and can either have $1,000 or what's in the box - and what
she doesn't want goes to Sharon. Jennifer takes the money, so
Sharon gets a digital package worth $3,330. Now it's Sharon's turn
- she can have $1,500 or the curtain. She wants the money so
Jennifer gets...emus (ZONK!) Hey, that's not nice. Now either lady
can have Curtain #2 for everything they've got. Jennifer bites and
gets...A CHEVY COBALT SEDAN WORTH $18,540!!!! But the deal's not
over for Sharon - she can also trade her stuff for Curtain #3.
Sharon will not do that, and could have...ALSO driven out of the
studio with a HYUNDAI ELECTRIC BLUE WORTH $15,455!!!! Ouuuuch.
Hopefully Brandon (Davey, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild
Frontier) and Anastasia (Mariah Carey's Butterfly) won't feel the
same pain. Maybe 7 grand will make them feel better. All they have
to do is pick a product first marketed in the 1970's. Their
choices are: Fresca, Cool Whip, and Hamburger Helper Potatoes
Stroganoff. Brandon takes the Hamburger Helper (which sounds like
it should stay in the 1970's) while Anastasia takes the Fresca
(which was marketed long before the 1970's, so I know that's a bad
choice). However Anastasia can save herself from the unknown zonk
by taking the Big Box. She does and receives a home gym (and ipod)
worth $4,709. Now Brandon can also have the gym - or hold on to
the Hamburger Helper - or take Curtain #1. He holds on to the
Hamburger and gives up an older version of the gym - much older (ZONK!).
The Hamburger Helper was made...in...1971, so $7,000 goes to
Brandon!
Kimberly (robed woman) can have what's doubled in the Big Box, or
what's Tripled in the Small box. She wants the small box, and
foregoes a pair of LCTVs worth $2,000. Now Wayne will offer
Kimberly $500...$700...$800....NO SALE. Kimberly wants the Small
Box, and she gets 3 Gift Certificates (Worth $1,000) and a leather
handbag for a total of $4,785! Nice deal!
Next up is Elizabeth (She's a brick....house.) What goes along
nicely with a house? A garage, in which she can park a CHRYSLER PT
CRUISER WORTH $16,948!!! one of the 3 keys Jonathan has will open
the car door. She wants Key #2, and she can open the car...unless
she wants a set of kitchen appliances worth $3,599. She doesn't.
She wants the car...or maybe, after seeing that Key #1 doesn't
work, she wants an extra $1,000 to go with the appliances for a
total of $4,599. She doesn't. She wants the car. She gets...a
useless key. It's Key #3 that opened the car. Aw.
Michelle (Civilian) gets to play a numbers game with Wayne.
There's 4 colors, each one being represented with a number.
Kimberly is to rearrange the numbers for a 4 digit check for her.
She goes with Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, and the check is worth
$_263. So she can keep that or trade it for the curtain. She wants
to keep the money and turns down another CAR...but this one's not
too new (ZONK!). Her check is worth...$1,263. So not the best
check making skills, but still a nice payoff.
Sara and Lee are Nudists on Strike (HA!), and Wayne has $500 to
get them some clothes. Or they can take the Big Box instead, which
they do. Wayne offers them $800...$1,200...NO SALE. They instead
get a trip to Miami Beach worth $10,535! There's plenty of nudist
beaches out there, so it's all fun in the sun.
Of course, if you had $31,450, that could be worth taking your
clothes off for. Let's see who has the shot to do so:
TRADE LIST:
Jennifer: $18,540
Sara/Lee: $10,535
Brandon: $7,000
Sharon: $4,830
Kimberly: $4,785
Anastasia: $4,709
Michelle: $1,263
Elizabeth: A key that will open up something, but not a car.
Jennifer is not going to give up a car, is she? not a chance. Will
the couple give up a Miami trip? They will and they select Door
#3. We first see Door #1, which had an entertainment set worth
$8,232. Behind their door is...a pendant worth $3,995. That's
nice, but they may kick themselves, because the Big Deal had not
one, but TWO CARS - a Mazda 3 I Sport and a KIA SOUL for a total
of $31,450!!!!! Wow. No big deal for them. Maybe a big deal for
someone tomorrow. |

We're getting closer to the end of the
Tournament of Ten, but before we get to that, Renée Vanlandingham
(Pendleton, IN) starts the episode with $7,500 and all 4
lifelines.
[$10,000] (CELEBRITY Q) - Asked by Robin Roberts from "Good
Morning America"
After much hype about his first 100 days on the job, Barack Obama
marked his 100th day as U.S. president on the 29th of what month?
A: March
B: April
C: May
D: June
After some thought, Renée uses the Double Dip. Her first answer is
C... which is wrong. Her second answer is B... which is right!
[$12,500] (French)
"Pamplemousse" is the French word for what fruit?
A: Strawberry
B: Lemon
C: Grapefruit
D: Pineapple
Renée asks the audience, and 45% say D, with 33% saying C. She
then asks the Expert, and this time, it's Time Magazine columnist
Joel Stein. He has learned French, but he's not 100% sure about
this. He knows it's not D, and he thinks it's A or C, leaning more
towards C. Renée locks in C... and she's right!
[$15,000] (Big Media)
The parent company that owns the online social network MySpace
also owns what major TV network?
A: CBS
B: NBC
C: ABC
D: FOX
Renée calls one of her co-workers, Deb, but unfortunately, she
doesn't give an answer in time. Renée then decides to just go for
it, saying D... and it's D!
[$25,000] (Bill Gates)
Purchased by Bill Gates in 1994 for $30.8 million, the Codex
Leicester is a manuscript once kept by what prominent thinker?
A: Leonardo da Vinci
B: Isaac Newton
C: Blaise Pascal
D: Friedrich Nietzsche
Although it's a total guess, Renée goes with B with 5 seconds
left... but it's A! That sends her home with $5,000.
Kim Burress (Dover, FL) - Support analyst
[Categories not shown]
Kim secures $5,000 with the time she had today. She'll return
tomorrow for more.
Right now, the Tournament of Ten is still going, and challenging
Sam Murray for his spot as the tournament leader today is the 4th
seed, Matt Schultz (Princeton Junction, NJ). When he first played
on the Sept. 25 & 28 episodes, he won $100,000 with a time of
2:28. Now, with 2:47 of banked time from that run, he has a total
of 3:32 on the golden clock for this...
[$1 MILLION]
The most-watched TV episode of all time, the final episode of
"M*A*S*H" aired at 8:30 PM on February 28, 1983 following what
sitcom?
A: Private Benjamin
B: Square Pegs
C: Alice
D: Newhart
Matt teasingly wants to use a "Quadruple Dip". (Yeah, if only such
a thing existed...) He's not really sure about this, but he does
take some time to think about this. He then says that if he had to
guess, he'd guess C. But he doesn't want to risk $75,000 of what
he has on that guess, so he walks with his $100,000! As for the
answer, it is indeed C!
4 down, 3 to go for Sam Murray. He's still in the running for the
million, but 3rd seeded Jeff Birt awaits his question tomorrow. |
