We start the holiday show with the
ladies wearing Santa Caps and the men wearing boxing gloves.
The contestants are wearing big floppy feet, as we start with
the gladiator show. The Green team wins it, 4-2, so they get
the first win of the game.
And for the second game, we get...a mariachi band! Well, no we
don't, but we do get a musical concert. It actually sounds
nice, and a very nice departure from the usual rap. Keep
bringing these groups on!
We also need to keep finding Mega Match logos - and no X's.
Yellow starts first, and they go with #6 (LOGO), then #9
(LOGO), then 4 (LOGO). 12 (LOGO) is next, and they are on a
roll - which ends when they select #1 (X). We go to Green who
select #2...and get an X. That was quick. Back to Yellow, who
turns it right over with #7 (X) and then Green turns it over
right back with #10 (X). Yellow gets the 5th logo with 5
(LOGO) and only needs 1 more for the match. Do they get it
with #8? Yes they do, and Yellow gets the shut-out win.
Next up - it's time to carry water across the bridge. The
Green team...only gets 2 people over? The Yellow team may
finally actually win this...but they only get ONE person over.
Wha? Green wins, 2-1, and they win the round.
We get...another concert? Heck I like them, so by all means,
lets have more of them. Whoo-hoo!
With Green leading, 4 minutes to 2 minutes, we go to the
Trivia Round. Yellow only gets another 1:20, bringing them up
to 3:20. That's certainly not enough, as the Green Team wins
it and has a nice 6:20 to run the course in.
Can they get past the course? Not if Juan only moves at 20
MPH, they aren't. After getting yelled at a few times by the
announcers, Juan finally completes the book room - in over a
minute. Uh-oh. He may not even get to the bowling pin room at
this pace, but he does get there with 90 seconds to go. The
announcer keeps saying that it's not impossible, but Juan has
the same luck as everyone else - zero. They really need to
change that stunt. Juan wins appliances, a tv, a range/stove
and a refrigerator - and probably a grief letter about that
stupid balancing bowling pin room.
We start the second hour with
some pugil stick action, as it's time to Joust. The Yellow
team jousted better, as they got 21 (Vs. Green's 14) and they
get first blood.
And the blood may be coming out of our ears as we get to
singing Mega Match. The Green team as really awful - but they
got there more often so they win 3-1 and tie the match up at 1
game apiece.
Can the Yellow Team break the tie with the Water Carriers?
They usually can't do it when the Green Team doesn't do well -
and they aren't going to do it when the Green Team scores 6.
The Yellow team does get 4 on the board, but that's not enough
and Green takes the lead.
But there's still enough time for a comeback in the Trivia
Round. However, to get this, they have to get more time than
the leading team - which they don't do. hence, Green, with a
massive, 6:40 gets to go into the bonus room...
...and promptly screw up in the Bowling Pin room? We'll
see...Robert is going much faster that Juan was in the first
hour. He is also getting the keys very quickly, and completes
the first 2 rooms with over 5 minutes to go. Robert is having
MAJOR problems in the thread the needle room, but he gets it
done with 3 minutes left to go. All of that time wasted in the
Needle room comes back to bite him here, as he gets into the
Bowling Pin room with under 60 seconds, and..he gets it? He
does, but time runs out on him before he can start the
motorcycle. Robert wins appliances, a TV, a range/stove, a
refrigerator and a washer/dryer combo, but he could have won
much more if he didn't have thread issues. We'll thread you
all along next week for 2 more hours of Mega Match. |
