The Canadian is going to
have to brush up on historic Americans, but in the

the Daily Double under $400 Inventors & Inventions. He
bets it all on this: this device was first developed by
Zenith in 1950 under the name "Lazy Bones". "What's a
remote control?" Right for $4800!
Bruce would hold his lead
into the half with $7000 to Jennifer's $3600. Scott with
$2600 starts Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 World
Cities. Scott finds the first Daily Double under $2000
Dinosaurs. He bets $2500 for the lead. The clue: this
name of the ferocious predator seen in "Jurassic Park"
means "one who seizes quickly". "What is velociraptor?"
Right for $10,300! Bruce finds the other Daily Double
under $1600 Put Me in Coach!. He bets $1000 on the buses
of Safety Coach Lines from Muskegon, Mich. "What are
silver darts?" Nope. They're Greyhounds, leaving him
with $1000. He gets it back and then some with $16,000
to Scott's $15,900. Jennifer could play spoiler with
$10,400.
Final Jeopardy! in "Variety Headlines":
the Variety headline when this couple married June 29,
1956 read, "Egghead Weds Hourglass". Correct question:
Who were Marilyn Monroe & Arthur Miller?
Jennifer's right to
double up. Scott's right to double up. Bruce's right...
also to double up! Bruce wins this one in a heartbeat
with $31,801, giving him $41,400 for two days. |

Garcia
(Candida, Benabeli, Hector, Aracelys, Felicia) |
|
Milano (Alvaro, Elis, Josie, Rafael, Raquel) |
We crowned five-time
champs last time out, so we're going to greet three new
families. The Garcias and the Milanos are first, though.
After three, the Milanos are
whupping the Garcias, 227-0. Double Round could do it. The
question: something we call someone who maintains a car. Rafael
fires with #1, a chauffeur. They also get driver and... three
strikes. The Garcias try to steal with operator... Not there!
Milanos win, 407-0. Other answer: maintainer.
Elis & Raquel take their game to
the Dinero
Rápido board... Elis gets 55. Raquel gets... only up to 119. D'oh!
That gives them $500 and another half hour on TV against...
|
Milano (Alvaro,
Elis, Josie, Rafael, Raquel); $500 |
|
Climent (Richard, Mary, Roberto, Maria, Raul) |
After the Double Round,
it's the Milanos up, 252-72.
Triple Round: something associated
with "Snow White" (4). Raquel goes with the dwarves, #1. A witch,
the apple, and... a forest? The Climents hope so... Nope! Milanos
win again, 462-72. Other answer: the dress.
Raquel & Elis try again, but first,
Jackie brings out that fruitbasket of doom. And we have... "Buena
suerte." Damn it.
Raquel gets 100 even. Elis gets...
16 more, giving the family $500 more for $1000 total.
