I've Got a Secret by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time: 11:30p ET/10:30p CT on GSN
Host: Bil Dwyer
Today, "Everything's bigger in Texas." But first...

A tribute.

Jermaine's card reads: "I miss you Nipsey." Class...

An accountant from Houston, Jamie Canopi. Judging from the wave, she's a beauty pageant winner of some sort. Her secret: "I lost a beauty pageant to Eva Longoria." Well, I was half right. Let's go to the panel. Jermaine gets Miss Longoria. Suzanne... empty. Frank gets that they were both younger in the running for something. Billy gets it. And we get the picture. It was Miss Corpus Christi USA 1998.

Next up, from Salzburg, Austria, Felix Baumgardner. His secret... a daredevil. Suzanne gets ... height and jumping. Frank.. empty. Billy connects the two, building and jumping. Jermaine calls for conference. End result... Bingo bango.

Her secret: "I jumped off the world's tallest building." Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia, all 1479 feet of it.

Finally... a sales manager for a major auto company from Pennsylvania, John Mitchell. His secret: "I am a world champion baton twirler." Frank gets physical. Billy gets that it isn't sporty. Jermaine... wants to talk to John after the show. Suzanne gets a uniform... and a "gymnastical" thing. But that's it. John wins dinner and a grand.

We get a show to end ours..

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Tricia Barreiro (interactive project manager from Santa Monica, CA); $15,998
Matt Sojot (firefighter from Mililani, HI)
Karla Sortland (teacher from Las Vegas)

Two-Buck Chuck goes to work against a teacher and a firefighter today.

Tricia starts up with $200 Mamma "Mea". Matt finds the Daily Double under $600 Swimmers. The only one in money, he bets $1000 on this: this other name of the ocean's devil ray comes from the Spanish for "blanket" or "cloak". "What is a manta ray?" Right for $2400! He ends the round in the lead, $5400 to Karla's $800. Tricia, $200 in the hole, starts Double Jeopardy! for the second game in the row...

...with $400 The Jeopardy! Movie Club. Matt finds the first Daily Double under $1600 Occupational Words. He bets $2000 on this: it's the French word for head, boss, top man. "What is coup?" Remember the category. It was chef, as Matt drops to $9400, still in the lead. Tricia can finally get back in the game with the Daily Double under $2000 Geometry. She bets the level on this: Pythagoras' theorem says that if one leg of a right triangle is 6 & the other leg is 8, the hypotenuse is this length. "What is 10?" Right for $4200. She ends with that much, while it's basically a two-man race between Matt's $11,400 to Karla's $10,000.

Final Jeopardy! in "Port Cities":it was Russia's third-largest city until it became the capital of an independent republic in 1918. Correct question: What is Riga, Latvia?

Tricia is the sole correct answer, as she backdoors her way into another Jeopardy! championship with $8400, a two-day take of $24,398.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
All that stands between each of these contestants and a million bucks is 15 questions. It seems simple, but those who watch this show know that it's much harder than it sounds...

The first contestant today is Greg Strong (New York, NY). This isn't his first time in the spotlight, so to speak; he had a non-speaking role in an opera in Central Park. But the thing is, he was standing in the wrong spot, and suddenly, a spotlight shone on him, and someone else stepped in front of him to sing. Well, at least this time, the spotlight is meant to be on him. So, with that, Greg starts by knowing that students traditionally elect a "King" and "Queen" for a prom. He gets through the lower tier, and he is rolling through the middle tier, heading into this...

[$25,000]
What actor and ardent lemur supporter had a new species of the animal named in his honor in 2005?
A: Liam Neeson
B: Kenneth Branagh
C: Tim Curry
D: John Cleese

Greg asks the audience, but the results don't look too good; the polls are split between D (36% of the studio audience; 26% of the AIM users) and A (33%; 29%). Greg then decides to narrow it down with the 50:50; A and D remain. He then calls his friend, Paul, but the best he can give is an assumption that it would be D. With that, Greg says D... and he has $25,000! Now, it's on to the upper tier...

[$50,000]
On their historic 1964 "Ed Sullivan Show" debut, the Beatles performed a song from what musical?
A: Brigadoon
B: Carousel
C: The Music Man
D: Kiss Me, Kate

Greg has no idea, so he switches the question. But it just so happens that Meredith knew it; it was C. Anyway, here's another question...

[$50,000] (Q)
A distinctive grasshopper-shaped weathervane sits atop what historic American building?
A: Woolworth building
B: Monticello main house
C: Independence Hall
D: Faneuil Hall

Again, Greg has no idea, but since it's a free guess, he goes with B... but it's D! Oh well; he does go home with $25,000!

Next up is Nancy Bushinsky (Highland Falls, NY). She refers to herself as the "female Dr. Phil". She provides counseling for the cadets at West Point. And now, Nancy starts by knowing that objects on Earth are prevented from floating off into space due to gravity (Lorenzo Lamas likely has a different type of effect on certain objects, especially light pens). She sweeps the lower tier, then faces this...

[$2,000]
What does the "HG" stand for in the name of the cable network HGTV?
A: Hobbies and games
B: Hope and glory
C: Home and garden
D: History and geography

Nancy asks the audience, and this time, both polls clearly favour C (91%; 77%). Nancy trusts them... and they're right! A couple of questions later, and this pops up...

[$16,000]
In a 2005 interview with Oprah, Kirstie Alley attributed her dramatic 55-pound weight loss to what activity?
A: Golf
B: Yard work
C: Sex
D: Dancing

Nancy says that she can't see it being A or B, so she uses the 50:50. B and D remain. She then second-guesses herself, and she decides to call her sister, Laura, but she doesn't give an answer in time. With that, Nancy decides to walk with $8,000. She'd have had the right answer if she didn't second-guess herself, though; it was D.

That'll do it for today. See ya tomorrow!
