Baggage
Golden Years
by Chico Alexander
GSN: 6p/5C
Host: Jerry Springer
     |
|
|
Peter
New Yorker
retired agent |
Carol
New York City
nanny |
Helen
Vineland, NJ
retired school teacher |
Gloria
Los Angeles
event coordinator |
Something's fallen, and we'll find
out what in about 26 minutes. First, the small bags. Carol is a
member of a senior hip-hop flash mob. Helen will abandon you
wherever you are if you spit. Gloria recently broke her hip while
snowboarding. Ouch.
Next up, the Dealbreaker Round.
Someone destroyed a salesman's inventory out of spite. Someone
still puts on her wedding dress every year. Someone else was an
escort for wealthy men. THAT's more like "Baggage". The
dealbreaker: the wedding dress. Here comes the bride... and there
goes Helen. Meanwhile, we know that Gloria was an escort, and
Carol has a mean streak.
Helen's big baggage: she
communicates with the dead. Well, the middle's a good place for a
medium.
Now the big ones. Carol breaks up
with men the moment they fall in love with her. That sounds
familiar. Gloria plans to spend her retirement money on shoes. So
will Peter ride off into the sunset with the hip-hopper who busts
your inventory unless you fall for her or the snowboarding escort
with a shoe fetish? Peter sends.... Carol packing.
Peter & Gloria get to spend the
rest of their days together reminiscing about when GSN was
watchable... unless she objects to Peter's Big Red Bag... His
little Peter has fallen... and he can't get it up. Does Gloria
have a little blue pill just for him? Yes she does, but first, up
to Mastro's in Beverly Hills! |

C.W. Van Baale (Chicago, IL) -
Performing arts teacher
He has been preparing for the show by reading up on everything and
quizzing his students without letting them know that he'd be on
the show.
He jumps the 1st and 2nd questions, which only had $100 and $500.
After that is this...
[Q3 - If the Jeans Fit]
To help its jeans-buying customers, clothing retailer American Rag
Cie installed what in its dressing rooms?
A: Laser pointers
B: Butt-level video cameras
C: Shower stalls
D: Pants stretchers
C.W. turns to the audience, and 62% say B. He trusts them, and
they're right, giving him... $2,000!
He then builds his bank up to $43,000 before facing this...
[Q7 - Day of Peace]
In 2007, the United Nations declared what world leader's birthday
the International Day of Non-Violence?
A: Golda Meir
B: Mahatma Gandhi
C: Nelson Mandela
D: Jimmy Carter
C.W. doesn't remember this. After some thought, he decides to walk
with $21,500! As for the answer, it's B.
Scottie Stamper (Charlotte, NC)
She was named after her mother's good friend, who is also female.
She starts out with $100 on the 1st question, then sees this...
[Q2 - Food Translations]
Used in the name of the dish "pad thai," pad is a Thai word
loosely meaning what?
A: Pickled
B: Barbecued
C: Baked
D: Stir-fried
Despite having had "pad thai," Scottie asks the audience. 83% say
D. She goes with that, and that adds... $2,000 to her bank, making
it $2,100!
She jumps the 5th and 6th questions, missing out on $10,000 and
$1,000. She has $27,100 when this pops up...
[Q8 - The Small Print]
"Rust proof bottom" is a phrase that is often used to refer to
cans of what?
A: Soup
B: Tennis balls
C: Shaving cream
D: Coffee
Scottie rules out B, and considers A. However, she ends up walking
with $13,550! As it turns out, the answer is C. |
