Got a Secret by Chico Alexander, GSNN

First
player on the program tonight is Henry from Los Angeles,
who's literally a few blocks away. His secret: "I'm a
lizard trainer." Jermaine starts... "are they mammals
these animals?" "No." But they do crawl and have four
legs. Suzanne nails reptilians. Frank... empty. Billy?
"Do you train the lizard?" That's game for the panel. He
trains them to sit in human-like positions. And it turns
out that Henry was listed sans surname because the
surname (legally) is a dead giveaway. He's Henry
Lizardlover. Legally. Henry demonstrates his secret with
the help of a hammock and Lana Love, Prince Charming &
Selma.
Game #2, players #2. Phil
& Jena Malm from Moscow, ID! Their secret... has
something to do with their wedding. This is "blindfolds
on", because the other part of their secret has just
entered the stage. The secret doesn't involve their
outfits. In fact, Frank is now banned from using the
word "attire". There is nothing significant about their
wedding date. This was a traditional wedding ceremony.
Their secret? "We're
identical twins married to identical twins." With that,
we meet Doug & Jill Malm. They met at the Twins Festival
at Twinsburg, OH. And they all live in the same house.
They stumped our panel, meaning they get dinner for
four and $1000.
Finally, from Midland,
TX, we have Spanish teacher Mike Lloyd! His secret: "I
can kick myself in the head 42 times in one minute."
Frank gets something done really fast and on television.
But it's not sports-like. Billy gets that it isn't
dangerous. Jermaine gets that he does this with his legs
and his head. Suzanne gets kicking... So close!
And Jermaine knew it. But
can Mike kick himself in the head 43 times in one
minute, thus breaking his own record? YES! With 14 ticks
left to spare, no less!

Melissa Garber
(copy editor from Orlando) |
The returning challenger
became a champion again yesterday, but how long can he
keep it up?
Bob starts up with $200
Thou Canst Biblically Quote Me, finding the Daily Double
under $800. He fronts $1200 on this: "take me up, and
case me forth into the sea." "Who is Jonah?" Right for
$4400! He parlays that into a lead of $7000 over
Melissa's $3800 at the half. Luis, still at $200, starts
Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 Order in
the Courtroom TV. Luis has -$200 going into the first
Daily Double under $1600 Another Attempt at
Alliteration. He bets the max of $2000 on this: perky
"prankster", counterculture commentator, "Nest"
novelist. "Who is Ken Kesey?" Right for $1800! He also
finds the second under $800 The Nearest National Capital
to... He bets $1200 on this: the Hollywood sign. "What
is Mexico City?" Right for $3400. He ends regulation at
$3000 to Melissa' $9800, but Bob's in the lead with
$19,000. Not a runaway, but damn near close.
Final Jeopardy!
in "American Politicians": in 2005 he took his
first submarine dive since he left the Navy in 1953, on
a new nuclear vessel that's named for him. Correct
question: Who is Jimmy Carter?
Luis gets it right, but
bets nothing. Bob also gets it right to win the game
with $19,601, and $68,599 for five days. And he'll play
again tomorrow. |

Jazmin Cassio (Chicago, IL)
reached the $8,000 level yesterday, but had to use her 3
lifelines on the way. What level will she get to today?
Jazmin desperately wanted this chance to sit in the hot
seat; so desperate, that she wound up cutting the line!
She got caught, though, and was forced to return to the
end of the line. She was certainly lucky she wasn't flat
out kicked outta there, or else she wouldn't be here!
But she's here, and she's ready to continue...
[$16,000]
In fashion, the practice of making clothes bigger to
make consumers feel slimmer is called what?
A: Beauty sizing
B: Vanity sizing
C: Wishful sizing
D: Flattery sizing
Unfortunately, Jazmin hadn't heard of this, so she
decides to walk with $8,000. And the answer was B.
Next in the hot seat is Colleen Grewenow (Lakeville,
MN). She has been raising her 2 daughters lately, but
she's now looking to get herself back into the
workforce, so to speak. She is wearing a couple of
things that her daughters gave her; a pair of earrings
and an angel pin. Let's see how much luck those will
bring her... Colleen starts by knowing that in a fire
drill, students are usually instructed to exit the
building in a quiet and orderly manner (I can't really
see how one would experience puberty in such a manner).
She gets through the lower tier, then soon enough, she
gets to this...
[$4,000]
In physics, the point at which an object can be balanced
is called its "center of" what?
A: Energy
B: Direction
C: Friction
D: Gravity
Colleen asks the audience, and D is heavily favoured
(91% of the studio audience; 77% of the AIM users).
Colleen trusts them... and they're right! Moving on...
[$8,000]
Experts in unconventional warfare, the Green Berets are
officially called the "Army's" what?
A: Special Forces
B: Covert Units
C: Assault Commandos
D: Advance Rangers
Colleen decides to call her friend, Brad, who is 80%
sure that it's A. Colleen goes with A... and it's A!
Next question...
[$16,000]
In 2000, the Clintons traded in the White House for a
five-bedroom, four-bath in what upscale New York
community?
A: Pleasantville
B: Chappaqua
C: Briarcliff Manor
D: Larchmont
The 50:50 leaves B and C. Colleen has no clue, so she
walks. She didn't know that it was B, but at least she
has $8,000.
Next up is Patrick Neitz (Brooklyn, NY). He went to New
York 20 years ago, when he was flat broke. Back then, he
had gotten a job demonstrating irons at Macy's during
Christmas time. But he has his own business at this
time, which he has had for 15 years. He's a graphic
designer, and he works 14 hours a day. Wow. Anyway,
Patrick gets going by knowing that a young suitor
traditionally recites the lines "She loves me, she loves
me not" while plucking flower petals. He sweeps the
lower tier, then faces this...
[$2,000]
The Mississippi River is located entirely in what time
zone?
A: Eastern
B: Central
C: Mountain
D: Pacific
Patrick says that he had to promise some people earlier
that he wouldn't guess at all, so he asks the audience.
Both polls favour B (77%; 58%). Patrick goes with B...
and it's B! On to the next one...
[$4,000]
The three vertical stripes of the Jif peanut butter logo
feature all of these colors except what?
A: Yellow
B: Red
C: Blue
D: Green
The 50:50 leaves A and D. Patrick then thinks about it,
and says A... and he's right! Still going...
[$8,000]
Because it sampled his song "Super Freak," Rick James is
credited as cowriter of what rap hit?
A: Baby Got Back
B: Ice Ice Baby
C: Bust a Move
D: U Can't Touch This
Patrick calls his friend, Danielle, and she's pretty
sure that it's D. She even hums a bit of the song.
Patrick trusts her... and it's D!
That's it for today. Patrick will be back tomorrow. |
