Pierucci
(Chris, Joe, Alan, Tiffany, Andie) |
100 people surveyed said
Richard Karn's number one... And they're all in the
audience today.
Round 1: 100 women
finished this sentence, "A man doesn't have a chance
with me if he doesn't have a..." (6). Chris: "a J-O-B!"
Number one! Also a must... personality, a good heart, a
ride, a fat bank account, and a brain. The Pieruccis
sweep for 93.
Round 2: one fact about
John Lennon (7). Shamika gets the top answer with "He
was a Beatle." And now, for your consideration... Maily
with today's dumb answer of the day... "He's still
alive." The family does get Yoko Ono, being killed, and
being a musician. The Pieruccis try to steal with being
from England... Not there! Huynhs get 91! Other answers:
he wore glasses, he has sons (said!), believed in peace
(said!).
Double Round: a word or
phrase with "belly" (5). Maily gets bellyache for #4,
but Alan goes bananza with "belly dancer" for #1. Belly
button also makes the survey. The Huynhs want to see
Jelly Belly. Got it for 211! Other answer: belly-up to
the bar.
Triple Round: something
specific that gets brushed (4). Tiffany brushes her
hair for #1. Also up on the board... teeth, dogs, and...
yourself? The Huynhs hope so... No! The Pieruccis win,
378-211! Other answer: cat.
Tiffany and Andie go to
the Fast Money board, getting the $20,000 in seven.

Christine Black
(administrative assistant from Warwick, NY -
correction from yesterday); $600 |
|
Mike Hagesfeld
(software developer from Cleveland Heights, OH) |
|
Scott Gardner (Army
lawyer from Tampa) |
Yesterday, Christine
lucked out to take home $600, which is a prime place to
be, because even if she loses, it's a given that she
will double up.
Our heroine starts today
with $200 Shakespeare. At the TV time out, Christine has
six times what she's sitting on... $2400. That's good
for second to Scott's $2800 and Mike's $2200. A very
close game, indeed.
Wise words from Mike when
dealing with Chinese buffet: "Stay away from the
seafood... You don't know WHEN it started out as
seafood." From that, we go to the Daily Double under
$1000 Measure for Measure. Still playing a bit
conservative, and still in the middle as a result,
Christine bets the level on this: in gold content
measurement, one karat is equal to this fraction of pure
gold. "What is 1/24?" Right for $4600! That's where
she'll end the round, in the lead. Mike is nipping at
the bud with $4400, while Scott, with $3000, gets first
pickings of the board in Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 World
Leaders. Mike finds the first Daily Double under $2000
Airline Ad Slogans. Now in the lead, he bets $1400 on
"the world's favourite airline". "What is British
Airways?" Right for $7800. Scott finds the other Daily
Double under $800 World Leaders. Trailing with $7000, he
bets $2000 on this: in 1920, 1922, 1926 & 1990 this
country had a president with Chamorro in his or her
name. "What is Nicaragua?" Right for the lead and $9000!
After yet another visit from Pretty Boy Probst, we end
the round with Scott in the lead with $11,000. Christine
at $9400, and Mike at $8600. Still a very tight game.
Final Jeopardy!
in "Food Lore": in food lore, the design of
this treat symbolizes arms folded in prayer & the 3
holes stand for the Trinity. Correct question:
What is a pretzel?
It's all on the major as
Mike nails and Christine bombs. He's right, and he'll
win $18,801 for it. Christine leaves with $1600. |

whole game, but leaves with $9,100. Lara

the win by $383 and a total of $9,483 in
cash and trip to Colorado.
Megan just
barely eeked out a win. It's all up to her
in the Bonus Round. She lands on the **

RSTLNE we have:
S _ _ _ _ _ N _
She chooses C D K I and we have no help.
This was
insanely tough. It was SYMPHONY. And she
lost $50,000 in college money. But she
leaves with $9,483 in cash and trip to
Aspen.
