Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Bonnie Clair (attorney from St. Louis); $16,401
Trevor Pritchard (freelance writer from Toronto)
Dave Lombard (program manager from Houston)

Last night... Bonnie ruled. Tonight... maybe Bonnie, maybe one of the gentlemen.

Bonnie starts with $200 Ray Charles & Friends, which proves to be more than a challenge. Trevor has the lead at the first TV time out, $3200 to Bonnie's $1000. Dave has $400.

Daily Double in this round is under $1000 Packaging. Dave can move into second with his $1200 wager. The clue: very sensibly, in 2004 Tylenol introduced an EZ-Open cap on medication for those who suffer from this. "What is arthritis?" Right for $2600. He springboards into the lead with $4200. Trevor has $3200, while Bonnie with $2200 has to start Double Jeopardy!...

...with $400 Ballet Roles. Dave finds the Daily Double under $1600 All You Need is "Lav". Still leading, he bets the level on the former capital of Hungary that's now a capital of a neighboring country. "What is Yugoslavia?" Nope, the city is Bratislava in Slovakia, but he still leads with $4200. The second Daily Double is under $1200 Common Bonds, as Dave, now in second, bets $2400 on this: Colonel Sanders, Tom Wolfe, a Wilkie Collins "Woman". "What is Kentucky?" Nope. But the all did wear white. Dave is at $3400. He'll end up with $4200 to Trevor's $2400, and once again, it's Bonnie's to lose with $9800.

Final Jeopardy! in "Famous Americans": growing up on a farm, Henry Ford didn't "care much for" these... "I never really made friends with them." Correct question: What are horses?

Trevor and Bonnie get it right, as Bonnie takes another $11,150, for a two-day take of $27,551.

The Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS (markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker
Starting this Friday at 33 are Lina Morgan, Leila Cook, Warren Wileman, Lisa Gerdes, and a home theatre system. It goes for $999, and it's Leila who's going to figure out why Bob came from the audience today, as she gets to walk the Golden Road with 95c Crayola chalk. With that, she takes bends at a trash compactor, a bed with sleep set, and a prize that's more than $80,000! It's... A NEW MOTOR HOME! First, though, the trash compactor, worth $_89. She takes the 5 from the chalk... It's $589! Going to the bed, worth $4_79. She goes with the 8 from the trash compactor.... It's $4879! Finally, to the motor home, priced $80_23. She goes with the 9 from the bed.... the actual price.... $80,....423. Darn. So close.

Lisa wins a $1124 telescope in round two as well as a chance to take away a computer, a cutlery set, and a grill. Winning these will be Eazy as 1-2-3. In this case, 1 goes with the cutlery, 2 goes with the computer, and 3 goes with the grill. This according to Lisa... The cutlery is... $899. The computer is... $1349. The grill is... $1995! She's a winner!

Warren takes a $2205 curio cabinet in round three and a chance at $10,000 playing the Grand Game. The products: Theragesic cream, Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies, Tums Smoothies, Francesco Rinaldi pasta sauce, Odor Eaters foot powder, and Campbell's Select (John Lithgow not included). The target: $4.50. Warren claimed he watched this "last night", meaning that a) this was taped February 15 (our friends at Golden-Road.net confirm this), and b) he should have no problem... Pasta sauce... $1.99! Creme pies... $1.39! Soup... $2.99! He goes on... Antacid... $3.99! Warren's $10,000 richer! But it's Leila with a shot at crazy prizes with a 95c spin.

Who'll join her? Is it Susan Judy, who won a treadmill worth $1599? She could be a threat, as she was only $99 off on that. She gets another shot with Squeeze Play for an HDTV. The setup: 3 5 4 9 9. She takes away the 4... but in this case, $100 made the difference. It was $3499.

John Rooney is down, then up... then back down... then back up thanks to a $1520 sofa. He gets a shot at the 5 Price Tags for a Jeep Wrangler! But first... a beard/moustache trimmer worth $30... true or false? John says true... Right! $35 alarm clock, true or false? John says false... right! $19 lullaby player, true or false? John says true... Right! $25 pedometer, true or false? He goes with false... Right! He gets all four chances at the car. He only needs three. Behind $18,440... No. Behind $17,585... No. Behind $19,135... WIN!

Last chance for Lina, as she bids on a kayak. Actual retail price: $2083. Winner... Kenneth Moton. Now can he score trips to Mazatlan and Miami? We'll find out as we trek over to Barker's Bargain Bar. Mazatlan is marked $1724. Miami is marked at $2059. Which is the bigger bargain? He goes with Mazatlan. Miami's worth $4059, a $2000 difference. Mazatlan is worth $3254, $1500 the difference there... Sorry. But at least you could win more in the Showcase.

First up, the Beauties have some issues with their boyfriends. Brandi wants hers to call her new cell phone, Phire's wants her to cook on a new range, while Shane wants to run hers over with a new Dodge Charger. Top winner Leila passes to Kenneth, who bids $28,000. Leila goes to the TPIR department store, where she finds a pair of guitars, a Harley-Davidson pinball, and a motorcycle. Leila's bid: $17,500. Actual price... $16,547. She's over by $1000 and change. Actual price of Kenneth's Showcase.... $24,418. Another double overbid, the second in a row... This is getting serious...

Stats: even, $48,603.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
It's been quite an interesting Million Dollar Movie Week so far. One can only wonder how it'll wrap up today...

Entering the hot seat now is Barbara Bonilla (New York, NY). When she was young, she got into trouble for repeating a certain pickup line said by Mae West in a movie, though she didn't know what it meant then. She said it to a boy who, about 5 years later, ended up giving her her first kiss. Heh... Anyway, Barbara starts by knowing that the classic movie character that tells Scarlett O'Hara, "You should be kissed, and often, and by someone who knows how," is Rhett Butler (I can't really see Chewbacca saying that, for obvious reasons). She sweeps the lower tier, then after a break, we are again reminded that players this week each get a 1-year subscription to Netflix. In addition, each audience member gets a 3-month subscription to Netflix. Nice, ain't it? Anyway, soon enough, Barbara gets to this...

[$4,000]
The jive-talking actress in this scene from "Airplane!" is best remembered as what beloved TV mom?
A: Harriet Nelson
B: June Cleaver
C: Marion Cunningham
D: Maureen Robinson

[This question is accompanied by a clip from "Airplane!" showing the actress in question helping a stewardess understand the problems of a guy who speaks "jive".]

Barbara goes with B... and she's right! A couple more questions later, and this pops up...

[$25,000]
Which of these pop songs does not make an anachronistic appearance in the 2001 movie musical "Moulin Rouge"?
A: Let's Go Crazy
B: Smells Like Teen Spirit
C: Roxanne
D: Like a Virgin

Barbara asks the audience. 37% of the studio audience and 43% of the AIM users go with B. Barbara doesn't seem content with it, though, so she uses the 50:50. Guess what? B is gone, so the audience is wrong. (I actually figured that it's not B, as I thought I heard a cover of that song in a promo for the movie some time ago.) A (30%/18%) and D (21%/21%) remain. Barbara says A... and she has $25,000! Another question later, and she sees this...

[$100,000]
What is the only movie from 1995 or later that made the AFI's "100 Greatest American Movies of All Time" list?
A: Saving Private Ryan
B: The English Patient
C: Fargo
D: Braveheart

Barbara thinks it's C, but she's not sure enough, so she calls her son, Chris. Unfortunately, Chris doesn't know. So, after some consideration, she decides to switch it. She's regretting doing that, though, because she would have had it; it was C. But that's out, and this is in...

[$100,000] (Q)
Elvis Presley's last feature film was a 1969 movie titled what?
A: Change of Habit
B: Charro!
C: The Trouble with Girls
D: Live a Little, Love a Little

Barbara still wishes she'd have just went with Fargo moments ago. But here, she goes with A... and she's right! Now, let's see if she can get through a level that no one has gotten past yet this season...

[$250,000]
On his tendency to play bad guys, who explained "I'm the only actor who ever killed John Wayne"?
A: Dennis Hopper
B: Rod Steiger
C: Bruce Dern
D: Robert Mitchum

Barbara considers the "tendency to play bad guys" part, and seems focused on A, but she's not sure, so she walks. (Personally, I think it would have helped her a bit if she focused more on which of them played a bad guy that killed a character played by John Wayne. Not that it would have helped me, though, since I haven't seen many John Wayne films in the first place.) After seeing that the answer was C, she gladly accepts her check for $100,000!

And that's all for Million Dollar Movie Week. It had its high points and its low points, but overall, it was a good week in my opinion. In the meantime, we'll be getting back to normal next time, when a returning player from last Friday hopes to add to her $25,000.
