McMinnville, TN
$20,000 |
Round 1: the most annoying thing
about going to the movies (7). Keith fires with the crowds for #1.
They strike out, as the Cravens try to steal with the price... Got
it for 66. Other answers: waiting in line, sticky floors, seats
not comfy, preview/commercials, sound is bad.
Round 2: something a man might buy his girlfriend a pair of (5).
Shiressa gets the top answer, earrings. Shoes are also there. The
Cravens think they have this one... Boobs. Got it for 121. Other
answers: panties, socks.
Double: if you were going to lie, a place you'd be most tempted to
do so (full board). Christy gets #3, home. Toree gets #2, work.
Thomas gets #4, the police station. The Andersons hope to steal
one time with a hospital. Not there, Cravens have 203. Number one:
bar/nightclub. Other answers: physician's office (said!), party.
Triple: an animal a child dreams about owning (4). Toree fires
with dog, #1. Pony follows. The Andersons have one more chance to
get off the schneid with a giraffe... Nope! Cravens shut out
again, 476-0. Other answers: elephant (said!), monkey.
Fast Money: Thomas & Toree team up for 138 for $690, giving them
$20,690.
In the nightcap, the Sees (Sarah, Emily, Amy, Todd, Danny; $20,000) see
about Nashville's Montgomerys (Deborah, Rosemary, Stephanie, Marchale,
Louise). Sees lead it, 180-0. Triple: a sport where the ball might be
bigger than your head (4). Todd fires with basketball for the big #1.
Bowling and soccer also make the survey. Volleyball sweeps the game,
477-0.
Fast Money: Amy & Sarah get 118 for for $590, giving them $20,590. |

Last week, all 25 contestants were from
Illinois. This week...nope.
Brennan Smith
Hypnotherapist
Kansas |
Sherry Ortiz
Law Clerk
Indiana |
Brennan wants a honeymoon trip. Too
bad he didn't play during the Getaway Era.
Sherry finds the Extra and wages $500 on
this - 'Fee to Hold 'Em in Texas Hold 'Em.' Ante gets her up to $700.
She has an $800-$400 lead to end the round.
Three Spoilers want to play. I'm guessing they are not from Illinois
either.
Ozzy Zornzer
Electrician
California |
Karen Wescott
Workshop Leader
New Jersey |
Henry Willis
Lawyer
Washington, DC |
Ozzy spoils on the very first
question and sends Sherry to the back. Henry spoils on the second
question and sends Ozzy to the back. But it's Brennan at $950 who
finds the Extra. he goes Max on this: 'Stick, as if by suction'.
Adhere gets him $1,950 and the lead. Henry takes the lead back,
but gets spoiled by Karen who gets up to $2,600 and finds the
second Extra. She bets $1,000 on this - 'Sheepless
Shepherdess...blank. Bo Peep drops her to $1,600. Brennan gets
spoiled by Sherry, who stays for one question before Henry takes
it. Henry has a $2,550- $1,600 lead over Karen going into the
break.
Round 3 - Sherry spoils Henry and moves up to $2650. Henry takes
it back at $3,250. Brennan takes it back and it's Brennan at
$3,750...and an Extra. He goes the Full Daily Double on this 'One
who avoids cleaning at all costs.' Clod? No, that would describe
Brennan as he drops all the way to $0. Slob was the right answer,
and Henry spoils...Brennan, who gets the question wrong. Time is
up, and Karen, despite only getting a few questions right in the
round, wins the game, thanks to Brennan's blunder.
The win gives Karen $2,200. Can she win another $5,000 and a trip
to Cabo San Lucas? No, because she was too slow. She leaves one
square left as time expires, so she leaves with $2,200. Ouch.

It's a new week of poker champs. This week,
World Series Main Event bracelet holders.
Chris "Jesus"
Ferguson
$20,000 |
Johnny Chan
$20,000 |
Barry Johnston
$20,000 |
Jamie Gold
$20,000 |
Phil Hellmuth
$20,000 |
Huck Seed
$20,000 |
BLINDS: $100/$200 |
After the first break Huck Seed has
the early chip lead, while Huck Seed is on the early shortstack.
Phil has an early Big Chick (A-Q♦).
He bets against Huck's K-Q♥. Flop:
9-10-Q. Phil's got the best kicker. Turn: 2♠. River:
7♦. This one is headed to Phil's
stack, $3500.
Johnny has the early all-in call with
A-7♦. Huck has 4-2♠. Flop: 3-2-2. That
gives Huck a set of deuces. Johnny needs runner runner or a non-4
diamond to stay in this. Turn: 9♥. Johnny's
only save is a diamond that isn't a 4 or 9 now. Bingo. Hits a
5♦. Johnny Chan doubles through Huck Seed.
Huck is all-in with $1000 on an A-K.
Jamie has A-4. Flop: K-6-J. Huck's got high pair, high kicker. Jamie's
now more than a 100-to-1 dog. Turn: 8♦.
Jamie's officially drawing dead. Huck takes $2200 back. Huck bets it...
and gets blinds back.
At the mid-program break, Johnny has a
BIG chip lead, and Huck only has $3000. Three-way action gives us a flop
of 2-8-8. Chris has a set of snowmen with a high kicker. Phil has a set
of snowmen with a dinky little 7. Turn: 5♥.
Modest bet, modest raise. River: J♣. Phil gives away his play in one
bellow, while Chris collects $18,600, closing the gap between him and
Phil Hellmuth.
Blinds go up as we end tonight's round of
action with a plug for Johnny Chan's energy drink. That's good drinking. |

We're game for another week at 33, and so
are Robert Maeder, Summer Odeh-Guss, Lacy Coniglio, and Kacie Hill. They
bid on an HDTV worth $2199. Summer wins it and a shot at a trip to Cabo
in Squeeze Play. The board: 4 9 0 2 0. She withdraws the 0... Should've
withdrawn the 9. Kacie gets a $1200
pair of bikes and a shot at a cat tree, a dinette, and a 2008 Pontiac
Vibe. It's time to see how well Drew knows Master Key. With the fourth
key from a $15 personal amplifier (what?) and the first key from a $15
keychain camera, let's see how it goes. Key 4 first... and it opens
nothing. Key 1... is the Master Key!
Robert, a fellow Ohioan, wins a $2000
gemstone globe. Can he win four iPods with a laptop and a digital piano?
He can if he knows the Magic #. He sets it at 2094. The piano... $3195.
The Apple package... $1905! Winner winner!
Should be known that Drew was pulling for
the Buckeyes, while LSU grad Rachel was pulling for the Tigers. Final
score: 38-24 LSU. Oh well, BCS rankings are skewed anyway.
Robert wins at the Wheel, while Joseph
Johnson wins $500 from a $500 bid on a $500 game table. Now can he win
golf clubs, a high chair, and a treadmill? The game is Eazy as 1-2-3.
One, the high chair... $775. Two, the golf clubs... $2175. Ooh... Three,
the treadmill... $1299. Ouch.
Jennifer Pere gets a $740 set of lamps,
but what she really wants is a 2008 Ford Ranger. She'll get it if she
knows when That's Too Much! She thinks $17,540 is too much. And That's
... WAY too much. Should've stopped at $16,121.
Lacy gets one more shot to make things
right with luggage. The price: $970. Lacy's bid... $970! She gets $500
and a shot at a bedroom group with sleep set in the Hi-Lo game. The
highest in the Hi-row: $3.88 for Udderly Smooth udder cream. The Lo-row,
V8... $3.15! Toaster Strudel... $2.49. Philips caplets... $5.49. Too
much.
Joseph spins out a win as well in the
Showdown. First up, a trip on Over-the-Top Air, the best airline in the
world, with a range, a massage chair, and a trip to Australia. Top
winner Robert passes to Joseph, who bids $13,800. Next, another trip on
Nightmare Air, the worst airline in the world, with a karaoke, a trip to
Paris, and a 2008 Ford Mustang. Robert's bid: $27,500. Actual price:
$31,088, a difference of $3588. Joseph has $19,467, a difference of
$5667. And it's all about Robert with a win of $38,188. |

Tropicalistas lead, 123-82. Double:
a reason why kids really like to go to the pool (4). Tete tries
playing for #1. Swimming is #3. Will the tropicalistas steal with

#2, plastic. Marlon scores #1 with porcelain. Wood is good to win,
533-0.

Now, the main event...

Orlando |

try to steal with fire. Not there! Quintanas are up to 250. Other
answer: solder, iron.
Triple: 100 women, a reason women
look at themselves so much in a mirror (3). Vanity is the big one
for #1 for Gisela. Arranging their hair and... to the Marins with
makeup. No! Quintanas win, 493-84. Other answer: routine.
Dinero Rápido: Marilo draws... "puntos extra". She and Cesar get
123. Extra points don't matter. They get another $500 for $1500
total.

Even though Wedding Week was last week, Troy
Mihalek & Bethany Crum (Phoenix, AZ) return with some unfinished
business. They begin today's show at $4,000.
[$8,000]
The country name "Argentina" derives from the Latin word for what
chemical element?
A: Silver
B: Platinum
C: Gold
D: Copper
Troy has a hunch that it's A, because its symbol is Ag. But he's not
positive, so he & Bethany ask the audience. 77% agree with Troy's hunch.
They go with that... and the hunch is right!
[$16,000]
In the 1991 remake of "Father of the Bride," Steve Martin assumes the
role originally played by what actor?
A: Jimmy Stewart
B: Montgomery Clift
C: Bing Crosby
D: Spencer Tracy
Bethany wants to say either A or D. After some discussion, they call her
mother, Karen, and she says it's D for sure. They lock that in... and
it's D!
[$25,000]
Celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2007, the Original Sacher-Torte is
a world-famous cake first created in what European city?
A: Vienna
B: Rome
C: Berlin
D: Prague
Though she's thinking A, Bethany wants to use the 50:50. Troy isn't too
sure, either, so they go with the lifeline. A and B remain. They go for
it, saying A... and they have $25,000! One Switch-the-Question lifeline
later, and they face this...
[$50,000] (Q)
What creatures are typically featured in a museum's Hymenoptera
collection?
A: Spiders
B: Turtles
C: Bees
D: Jellyfish
Bethany thinks it's either B or D. Troy is thinking B. But he then
considers C, even though Bethany is against it. After some more
conversation, they decide to go with D... but it's C! Ouch. But hey,
they had nothing to lose at this point, so they leave with $25,000!
And now, things return to normal, with the single Hot Seat and no
flowers...
Mark Czachor (West Babylon, NY): He's a science teacher. His daughter,
Christina (in the audience), has been helping him prepare for this by
simulating the game, complete with a flashlight shining in his face.
[$500]
In a classic '70s song, the singer repeatedly says "you've got me on my
knees" to whom?
A: Layla
B: Roxanne
C: My Sharona
D: Maggie May
Mark asks the audience, and 81% say A. He goes with that, and yes,
they're right. He then secures $1,000, and makes it to $8,000 before the
horn goes off. He'll be back tomorrow for more! |
