Denise buys Curtain #1 for $1,000 and gets a new Vespa LX 50

Marissa has $2,000 and Crystle has $1,000. Marissa and Crystle buy
Curtain #1 for $1,000 and win a YSL Hobo Bag and a Tag Heuer Watch
worth $3,350! Marissa has the package plus $1,000 for a deal wroth

A new week at 33 begins with Celeste
Green, Warren Birch, Alyssa Vance, James Peebles, and a hot tub.
The $3995 set goes to Alyssa, who tries for a barbecue grill with
Omaha Steaks in Squeeze Play. The board: 114926. She pulls the 4..
Should've pulled the 9. Lu
Ann Gourley goes down and up thanks to an iPod/Beats package worth
$917. She could hook it up to a 2012 Dodge Journey if she wins
Lucky Seven. The board reads $22,1__ with a dollar in hand. She
goes with 9... 5 costs her everything.
James gets $1075 watches. Next up,
something worth $744, $1999, $2880, and $3299. It's a 3DTV, a
motorcycle, a refrigerator/freezer, and three Coach bags in Race
Game. He gets two in the first pass... then switches those two to
zero out. Had he moved quicker, he would've gotten them all in
pass three. The totals: $3299, $2880, $1999, and $744
respectively. He'll try again in the Showcases.
But first, Mattison Behr, who looks
all sorts of excited, gets $500 from a $900 day bed. Will he add
$10,000 in the Grand Game? The target: five and a half. Napkins...
$2.95. Francesco Rinaldi pasta sauce... $1.99. Four-pack of
Switch... $3.99. He takes the risk on Udderly Smooth udder
cream... $4.99 is a winner!
Celeste takes an $850 collection of
small appliances, but completely shanks Pathfinder. No $19,768
Ford Focus. BUT if you remember not too long ago, the price was
NOT right on this model. After the show, TPIR recognized the error
and gave her the car anyway. It counts as a technical, but the
total is not going to go on the board.
Last chance for Warren with a set
of cosmetics. The price: $547. Winner... Shea Ibarra. Now to make
herself up for a trip to Miami in Range Game. She stops it at
$7625, dead center. The price... $7687!
Celeste beats Mattison, 65-60, in
the Showcase Spinoff. First up, go viral with four mini-video
cameras, a MacBook air, and a Mazda 3S. And if you win this
Showcase, you'll be in a contestant spotlight at PriceIsRight.com.
Top winner Celeste passes, and James bids $27,000. Celeste gets a
few nights at the museum: the LA County Museum of Art, the Prado
in Madrid, and the Singapore Art Museum. Her bid: $24,000. Actual
price: $24,753, a difference of $753. Actual price of James'
Showcase... $23,986. It's a good night for Celeste, who ends up
with $26,137 and a Ford Focus. |

Pam Mueller (Princeton, NJ) starts the
week at the start of Round 2 of her game. She has $63,100, and ATA
is still available.
[$100,000]
The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI displays a test tube that
allegedly holds what odd memento of Ford's hero, Thomas Edison?
A: His pinky toe
B: His breath
C: A drop of his sweat
D: A lock of his hair
Pam thinks that Edison once said something about 99% perspiration
and 1% inspiration. She hopes that it's not A, since that seems
creepy. She decides to go with C... but it's B! Ouch. Well, at
least she has $25,000!
Doug Mulderink (Chicago, IL)
He says he's a big fan of the show.
[Q1 - Musical Inspirations]
Bruce Springsteen's chance encounter with Joe DePugh, a former
Little League teammate, was the inspiration for what song?
A: Human Touch
B: Glory Days
C: Born in the U.S.A.
D: My Hometown
Doug asks the audience, and 59% say B. He trusts them, and they're
right, giving him... just $100.
He then jumps the 2nd question, missing out on $15,000. He is up
to $17,600 when this appears...
[Q7 - Somber Swimmer]
With its frowny face, what aptly-named sea creature is sometimes
referred to as the world's most miserable-looking fish?
A: Blobfish
B: Hagfish
C: Butterfish
D: Sawfish
Doug thinks it's B, and goes with that... but it's A! That sends
him home with $1,000.
Tammy Austin (New York, NY)
She got ready for the show by watching plenty of it with her son,
who advised her to win and to study up on sand and presidents.
She jumps the 3rd question, which had $7,000. She then builds her
bank up to $56,000 after 6 questions to end this episode; Tammy
returns tomorrow! |
