Cash Cab by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time: 6p ET/5p CT on Discovery
Host: Ben Bailey
First in the car, going to 21st and Lex, it's Mike Macini and Keith Patchel. They need a street shoutout early. Question: what kind of animals Giacamo, Smarty Jones, and Alydar? They go with cats... then switch to horses... Race horses! First strike: Bikini Bottom is the home of what popular Nickelodeon character? They answer "The Manson Family"... Wha? Correct: Spongebob Squarepants. They need a mobile shoutout on this: what annual holiday commemorates the victory of Mexican forces in the battle of Puebla? They go with Cinco de Mayo. Second strike: if you are afflicted with lycanthropy, you will likely turn into a what? They miss werewolf. They end up at the destination with $650. But will they stick around for the video? No, they're done.

Next up, we're going to 38th and 12th with Keely. And it's her birthday! Happy Birthday, Keely! She needs the mobile early here: what late comic popularized the phrase "I get no respect"? She goes with Rodney Dangerfield... Correct for $25! First strike: What famed pamphlet of sage advice did Ben Franklin publish from 1752 to 1757? She misses out on Poor Richard's Almanack. Second strike: according to legend, what outlaw of Sherwood Forest did the Sheriff of Nottingham seek? She misses Robin Hood. Third strike: what legendary jazz saxophonist was also known by the name "Bird?" She doesn't know. "The correct answer is happy birthday, get out!" It was Charlie Parker.

Early evening, and we heard to McSorley's on Seventh with Wally Witkowski. He sweeps the $25ers and gets $250 at a red light... It's Red Light Challenge time... Question: five Nordic countries in Europe. Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Iceland will do it for $500. And on top of that, he sweeps the $50ers! What rapper released the almost prophetic "Get Rich or Die Tryin'"? He goes with BIG. Nope, 50 Cent. Then Wally just rattles them off. With 1.6 blocks to go, he's already at $1250... He needs a mobile shoutout here: IM Pei designed what Cleveland tourist attraction? Nothing. He misses the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Bad news, second strike. Good news... he's here! He's a winner with $1350! And he doesn't want the video bonus, so he's got drankin' money, $1350!.

Host: Richard Karn
Williams (Ron, Carrie, Cindy, Jackie, Danielle)
Heredia (Coreena, Lisa Lynn, Mary, Alex, Bianca); $1540

The Heredias can't seem to convert. Will today be the day?  Round 1: something specific people tend to shoplift (5). Ron gets #2, jewelry. Coreena does him one better with clothes. Makeup, fruit, and candy are good for the 84-point sweep.

Round 2: something people do when they need to sober up in a hurry (5). Lisa Lynn gets a number one cup of joe. Cold shower also makes the list, but can the Williams steal with "throwing up?" No, the Heredias are up to 155! Other answers: drink milk, another drink (or tail on the dog), sleep/rest.

Double Round: the last time someone told you to hold on tight, what were you doing? (5) Mary gets #1, an amusement park ride. They also get riding a car and riding on a bike. Can the Williams steal with a motorbike? Yes! They get 100. Other answer: making love.

Triple Round: an animal that starts with the letter "E" (4). Jackie gets an elephant-sized #1! Eagle, eel, and... elk? The Heredias hope so... NO! The Williams win, 385-155! Other answer: emu.

Carrie and Jackie take on the Fast Money... Jackie get 97. Carrie finishes at 175 for $875.

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Kevin Marshall (student from Metairie, LA); $98,201, six days
Amanda Pompili (transcriber from Chicago)
John Stratford (caterer from Petaluma, CA)

We've said this before, and we'll keep saying this until he gets there... but Kevin's literally within ear shot of the $100 grand. He starts with $200 Thomas Paine. So far, it's John at $3200, Kevin at $1800, and Amanda at $1200 at the TV time out. Nice even game so far.

John finds the Daily Double, a video under $1000 Rebuilding. He wagers the level. Here's Cheryl: "The post-9/11 rebuilding of the Pentagon, where rebirth will arise from destruction, was nicknamed this project by workers." "What is Project Phoenix?" Right for $7400! He ends up in the lead at $8600 to Kevin's $3200. Amanda, meanwhile, has $1400 and first pickings in Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 Literary Crossword Clues "G". We jump over to Inspired by Zagat for the Daily Double under $2000. With a big lead, John wagers $3000 on this: this principality's "Rhine scenery" "enchanted" some; others wondered, "Why not just go to Switzerland". "What is Liechtenstein?" Right for $14,800! Amanda finds the other under $1600 ____ To ____. She risks the max of $2000 on this: dosido, in square dancing, comes from the French meaning this. "What is back to back?" Right for $3400! She ends with that, as Kevin ends with $7200 to John's $22,800. Looks like Kevin will make $100,000, but not the way he had planned...

Final Jeopardy! in "US Commerce": Huntington, considered the USA's busiest inland port & largely shipping coal, is on this river. Correct question: What is the Ohio?

Amanda loses everything. Kevin gets only $300 more. John only loses a fiver, becoming the new champ with $22,795! Kevin leaves with $100,201. We'll see him again, I'm sure.

The Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS (markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker
Amy Nardin, Nathan Lenz, Alicia Stanback, David Kang, and an elliptical trainer start the day's festivities. Amy wins it and a trip to Barker's Bargain Bar, where she can win a recliner and a plasma TV. The recliner is marked at $799. The TV is marked at $1699. She picks the TV, whose price is $2999 (a $1300 difference). The recliner is $1799, making her winner #1!

David gets a diamond necklace in round 2... and a chance at $50,000! It's Plinko Time! With chips from a cookie press, a DVD of "Austin Powers: Goldmember", and an ice cream maker (not to mention one from Bob), he takes $2000 from the Plinko board, including a do-over on the free chip.

Alicia gets a wall clock in round 3, which leads to Ten Chances at a solar radio, two snowboards, and a 2006 Chevrolet HHR. She takes three chances to get the radio ($30), five to nab the snowboards ($620), and misses the car, which was $17,390. If only she got another chance with that. She'll get another chance to win something as she wins the Showdown.

Dana Crampton gets a stainless dishwasher, as she goes Bonkers over a hot tub. It is NOT $3526. She first goes high, low, low, and high. Wrong. Then she goes with the odds... high, high, high, low... Right!

Jan-Michael Penarejo wins a home theatre speaker system, and gets a chance to Pass the Buck for a $19,995 2006 Ford Escape. First pair: Hot Pockets at $2.29 and Coricidin HBP at $5.29. He passes left... Should've gone right. Next pairing: Mylanta at $6.08 and Maxwell House Decaf at $3.75. He passes right... and that's another pick! He doesn't use it, as he gets $5000 on the first pick and decides to leave it at that.

Last chance for Nathan... and he capitalizes, winning five self-study language courses. And the fruits of his labor? Trips to Miami, Nashville, and Denver. Which is the Most Expensive? He goes with Miami. Nashville was $2313. Denver was $4262... Miami is $5133! Great win! But it's Dana who'll meet Alicia at the Showcase...

First up, a new living room group with carpeting, a security system, and two off-road motorcycles. Top winner Dana passes to Alicia, who bids $13,777. For Dana, we have... pans from movie critic Gaby. She deals thumbs down on a set of cleaning supplies, scuba gear, and a 2006 Ford Ranger. She bids $18,500. Actual price: $19,846, a difference of $1346. Alicia's has a price of... $24,782. Dana's the big winner today with $25,970.

Stats: 3-2-1, $57,647.

Host: Meredith Vieira
Yesterday, Ed DiAngelo (Sayreville, NJ) didn't have much time, but he did easily reach $200. He'll have plenty of time today to rack up a lot more...

Since he was a kid, Ed had an obsession with trivia, and he often used the TV Guide to help with his memory. Basically, he'd memorize the whole schedule, then his parents would test him on how well he memorized it. Hopefully, he memorized enough trivia to win it all here. The game resumes, and he easily gets the $1,000. After another question, he sees this...

[$4,000]
In a classic story by Rudyard Kipling, what animal saves the day using its remarkable ability to kill snakes?
A: Lemur
B: Mongoose
C: Wombat
D: Jackal

Ed isn't sure about this one, so he asks the audience. They certainly come through for him, as 89% of the studio audience and 71% of the AIM users say B. Ed trusts them... and they're right! Another couple of questions later, and this comes up...

[$25,000]
Introduced in the 1950s, Lismore is the name of what luxury brand's most popular pattern?
A: Burberry plaid
B: Wedgwood china
C: Waterford crystal
D: Tiffany glassware

The 50:50 leaves C and D. Ed then decides to call his sister-in-law Beth, but she's not sure. It turns out that he thinks he knows it, but says he won't risk it. Then he says he will. He goes with C... and he has $25,000! On to the next one...

[$50,000]
Vonetta Flowers, the first African-American gold medalist at the Winter Olympics, competes in what sport?
A: Cross-country skiing
B: Biathlon
C: Speed skating
D: Bobsled

Ed has no idea, so he switches it out. They show that it was D, then this question shows up...

[$50,000] (Q)
How many different U.S. states have hosted either a Summer or Winter Olympics?
A: 4
B: 5
C: 6
D: 7

Yep, he switched out an Olympics question, and got another Olympics question. What are the odds? (Yeah, I know the Winter Olympics are coming up.) Anyway, it is a free guess here, so Ed says A... but it's B! Oh well; Ed is heading home $25,000 richer!

Now in the hot seat is Angela Dowd (New York, NY). She is a mother with 2 kids, and she is looking to get back to her job as an attorney soon. While at home, though, she started watching this show a lot. And now Angela is here, and she starts by knowing that counting sheep is commonly thought to be an effective cure for insomnia (if you tried watching PBS with sheep to rid yourself of insomnia, and you're not a farmer, seek professional help immediately). She has no problems with the lower tier, then soon faces this...

[$8,000]
The Lindy Hop is a dance from the 1920s that got its name from a 1927 headline that read "Lindy Hops the" what?
A: Atlantic
B: Grand Canyon
C: English Channel
D: North Pole

Angela decides to ask the audience. 85% of the studio audience goes with A, and so does 41% of the AIM users. Angela trusts them... and again, they're right! Moving on...

[$16,000]
Because it contains no moisture and cannot expand, what gas is often used to inflate tires in NASCAR racing?
A: Hydrogen
B: Neon
C: Nitrogen
D: Carbon dioxide

The 50:50 leaves A and C. Angela then calls her brother Joseph, who says it's C, and adds that hydrogen would explode. Angela goes with C... and it's C!

That's all for today. Angela will return tomorrow.
