The American Revolution - June 26

We start in Boston, Massachusetts and the Diamond District Bed & Breakfast. Everyone is tried from Montana. An otrhopedic surgeon recommends surgery. Jessica is crying and the Grad Students team makes the hard decision to quit the hunt because they don't want to do any further damage to Jess's leg. Everyone in the inn hugs and cries with them.

At 6:30AM they get a DVD clue. Laird tells them their next step in the hunt will take them in the tracks of the American revolution. They have to follow the trail of secret messages that kept America Free. They have to start at the Old Burke School. Since the Grad Students left the hunt due to injury, the Browns re-enter the hunt. The Hanlons call that "a bunch of crap. They are back in because some girl broke her leg."

Everyone follows the Southie Boys because they are from Mass...except the Air Force who make a certain left turn. EX CIA--feels the Air Force are Threats. The Air Force are 7 Miles from the school. Southies are 11 miles and realize they have to go to 220 Spencer Avenue in Chelsea, Mass. The Geniuses are 10 Miles from the school, and the Fogals are 25 Miles from the school. And the Geniuses lies to the Fogals about directions.

Believe it or not, the Air Force are first to the Mary C. Burke School in Chelsea, Mass. The clue is in graffiti on a plank on the wall. "Look Until You Can See No More." They look around and head to a boarded up classroom with facts about the American Revolution. They decide that one of the facts is the clue and they go to the "Shot Heard Round The World".

Southies are 2nd, Hanlons are 3rd, Miss USA 4th, Ex CIA 5th, Geniuses are 6th. They miss the clue on the floor, but get to the blackboard clue. The Hanlons turn off the lights in the classroom and as the Genworth Financial clue states: "IN DARK TIMES THE WORDS FORM"....

The classroom turns black, save for two different clues in irridescent paint on the wall: "GO TO THE OLD NEWGATE PRISON AND SEARCH THE DARKNESS TO FIND THE WAY TO THE LIGHT." and "GO TO THE WENTWORTH HOUSE IN STRAWBERRY BANKE AND FIND WHAT THE MINUTEMEN LEFT BEHIND."

The teams get a Motorola Message. Laird tells them that paranoia was part of the American Revolution. People needed to keep their friends close and their enemies closer. They have to chose a team to work pair with. Both teams will get part of a clue that will send them to the next destination.

The Fogals are 40 miles from the Burke School and the Geniuses blow the Fogals further off track. "We just Fogaled the Fogals."  The 6 teams plot to take out the Fogals and the Air Force, who are lost at this time. The Air Force realize they have to go back to the school.

The Ex CIA/Hanlons/Southies head to the Wentworth House, while the Browns/Geniuses/Miss USA head to the Prison. The Air Force team are back to the school and figure the clue out. They call the Fogals and send them to the prison, while they go the Wentworth house. They are 60 miles away.

The Wentworth house is in Portsmouth, NH. It stood before the Revolution. The teams are looking for a bullet with a hidden message. Find the Bullet and you will be nearing your next destination. The three teams combine and find the clue which is hidden under a floorboard in the house:

"NEAR OLD NORTH CHURCH
ONLY THE DEAD
ONE IF BY LAND
PLYMOUTH
BOSTON"

The Air Force Team arrives as the other teams leave for the Old North Church and the Air Force realize they and the Fogals have been had and the victims of a plot to take them out. "That's Pretty Sick." The Air Force calls the Fogals with the clue and tells them off the plot against them. The Fogals first to Old Newgate Prison in East Cranby, CT. Laird tells us and them that this copper mine was used as a British Prison to hold American soldiers. They have to find that same hollow bullet. They go down a deep staircase into a cold damp dark confined area and find the 2nd half of the clue, which if read with the first part says this....

NEAR OLD NORTH CHURCH
ONLY THE DEAD CAN SEE THE LIGHT
ONE IF BY LAND TWO IF BY SEA
PLYMOUTH LIGHT BY THE LAND
BOSTON LIGHT BY THE SEA

They figure out it has to be the cemetery by the Old North Church in Downtown Boston. The Browns are 2nd to the prison, Geniuses 3rd and Miss Usa 4th. Everyone finds the clue. The Hanlons try to screw over the Browns, but they dont buy it.

At the Old North Church we see 2 Lanterns. And the Air Force and Southies Argue. After a bit of a tiff, the Southies realize that is not worth it and realize they have to go to the Pemberton Pier to get to the BOSTON LIGHT. The Geniuses are 33 miles and Browns 35 miles. The Southies are first to the pier. They are told by Laird that the boats leave starting at 7:30AM. You take tickets to determine your order of departure. You can take another team to the lighthouse if you want. The team you pick, if you want, is up to you.

Southies are 1st, followed by EX-CIA, Air Force, Hanlons, Fogals, Miss USA, Geniuses and the Browns. They are pissed they are last. "Time To Get Nasty"

At the Colonial B & B in Hull, Massachusetts--the teams strategize as to who to take in the boat. Air Force/Fogals ally. Southie Boys and Geniuses as well. The next morning at 7:30AM Southies/Geniuses leave first and EX-CIA/Miss Usa go 2nd. They head to the Boston Light which was built in 1716.

Laird tells us that this is America's 1st Lighthouse. The British burned it down. There 8 teams and 7 artifacts. For one team, the hunt ends here. Finding the lockboxes are easy...the combination is not.

The Southies/Geniuses find the boxes first. Ex CIA/Miss USA are 2nd to leave and get the message. Air Force and the Fogals leave third. The Geniuses/Southies go to the top of the lighthouse and see that the rocks are placed in patterns in Roman Numerals. The Hanlons leave alone and tell the Browns straight out that they are lucky to be there. The Browns huddle up and say "They Got to go".

The Geniuses figure out the clue to the double combination lock is:
9 2 5 3
1 3 4 1

The Geniuses find the 3rd Artifact which is an engraved box, which goes along with the compass and the map. Miss USA are 2nd, EX CIA 3rd, Southies 4th, And the Southies spin the locks. The Fogals figure it out and the Hanlons are 4th to the house. Browns are last. Fogals are 5th to find the artifact and Air Force are 6th.

The Hanlons and Browns are left with 1 artifact to go. They look for the clue as the Browns arrive. Josh apologizes to the browns. Tonny figures out the clue and both teams are searching. And the Hanlons try to spy on the Browns working on the combination(in a very open and cheating way). Rightfully, the Browns are pissed. And the Browns find the last artifact. The Hanlons' hunt is over. According to Pat..."It's about Karma and a hunt for your inner soul."

7 teams are left...where will the map, compass and box lead them...they are all closer to the buried treasure...next week on Treasure Hunters!
