It's another battle for the ages, as 20 people will try to outwit, outplay, and outlast each other. This time, it's all about Nicaragua, a parcel of land in Central America, where rainforests battle against volcanoes, and the Caribbean battles against the Pacific Ocean. These tribesmates will battle against each other for a shot at the million. The chosen 20 for this season of "Survivor"...

(C-Note: Keen eyes will recognize Brenda as one of the models from Que Dice La Gente season 1. I myself had to do a double-take.)

They think they are already divided into tribes. That... is about to change. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

DAY 1: A tribal shuffle already?

After Jeff probes the teams about who knows what about whom... and what Jimmy Johnson of all people is doing here, Jeff points out that beyond a lagoon is a Medallion of Power. Whoever returns with it will claim it for their tribe.

"You can go anytime you want."

And the winner is... Brenda! Marty thinks that it's a windfall for him. Except... it isn't. THIS IS NOT THE TRIBAL DIVISION! This, however... is.

And we're all official, except for one thing. Will Brenda trade the medallion for flint and fishing gear or keep it and hope we can use it later? What you don't keep, the other tribe gets. Brenda takes... the fishing gear. The Espada tribe will play the Medallion later in the game.

It's later in the game, and we still don't have any clue as to what the Medallion is or what it does.

Over at La Flor, Sash is looking forward to the competition to come, Jud the dumb blonde (Shannon's words) managed to injure himself... TWICE. Everyone starts helping "Fabio" out. Shannon wants to team up with the guys in hopes that the women decide not to gang up on them. A very keen strategy: the dumb guys band together for the common good. Hey, it worked for Big Brother.

Meanwhile, Kelly B. is worried that someone is going to get the wrong idea about her leg, so she comes out with it in front of the entire tribe. Kelly, by the way, has a prosthetic leg. She's not ashamed of it, but tribal reaction is mixed. Shannon notes that she may be a threat via sympathy votes. She may get the power play, but the moment the tribe loses, she has to go. Naonka, on the other hand, welcomes her challenge, going so far as to challenge her to a race later.

DAY 2: Everyone knows it's Jimmy Johnson...

All of the guys are attracted to Brenda, especially Chase, who doesn't want to find himself playing both sides of the fence this early. He made an alliance with Shannon, AND now he's talking to Brenda. And now Brenda is going to use what information she got him to her advantage.

Oh, did I mention that she was on TV before? Yeah, that's not really important or relevant, but it explains things.

Meanwhile, the rest of the girls find... a clue to the Hidden Idol! Alina and Kelly B find a cipher... and they can't yet decipher it, so they'll hold onto it for now. They're pretty much joined at the hip now.

And better get used to this, folks. So as to avoid a redux of Russell Hantz's Immunity Idol after Immunity Idol, and perhaps as a middle finger to the recappers of the world, the clues will now be graphic.

DAY 3: TREEMAIL!

Change the course of waterfalls,
Or you may just lose your flame.
Keep your mind in the gutter,
Or be the first to leave the game.

I-CHALLENGE: Chasing Waterfalls

One person will be at the top of the tower, while five others will direct the water flow in hopes of releasing puzzle pieces. The remaining four will put together the puzzle. First team to do so wins Immunity.

The Medallion of Power will give you advantages in challenge play. If Espada uses it today, they will start the challenge with one bucket of water, a significant advantage. If they use it, they will also forfeit it to La Flor for the next time. Espada decides to keep the Medallion.

In a race to the pieces, it is neck and neck. Both tribes start on the pieces early. Both are getting a rhythm going. But the elders need to pick up the pace. The youngers are close... but something's not working. Someone's going home tonight... and it's not from LA FLOR!
