Around The
World in Two Hours
January 12
No, it's not an re-enactment
of the United Nations, it's "Superstars of Dance." As we learned last
week, any country could be eliminated. And there were many. Can the USA
shoot itself into 1st place, or will anyone else take the lead? You'll
see why....now?
Up first is Australia doing a group dance, and they're not wearing shoes
on....really. Here's the scores.
ARG-9
IND-8
S. AFR-9
USA-9
IRE-8
RUS-10
CHI-9
That'll give them a 62 and 297 and a fast start for the lead. Next up,
Ireland does a dance by Bernadette & Damien. More stepping, please! Onto
the scoreboard....
ARG-8
IND-9
AUS-7
S. AFR-7
USA-8
RUS-9
CHI-8
You get a 56, but that translates to 293 for 2nd. Russia's next and
Maria Koecketkova does more ballet. Here's the scorecard....
ARG-9
IND-9
AUS-9
S. AFR-9
USA-9
IRE-9
CHI-9
That 63 gives them a 291 for 3rd place. The USA is next and Robert
Muraine did it last time to save himself from elimination, and he's
doing it for the semis. Isn't he an amazing act to win with? To the
scoreboard....
ARG-8
IND-9
AUS-9
S. AFR-9
IRE-8
RUS-9
CHI-9
How about a 61 for a 297 and a tie for the lead. South Africa is next
and the group known as Umoja represent the country like a tribe just
like it would. Even 1 got down solo. On to our scorecards:
ARG-9
IND-8
AUS-8
USA-8
IRE-8
RUS-9
CHI-8
A 58 adds them to the master total. We fast forward to Argentina's tango
and you get a 63 for it. India did a solo and that gave them a 58 as
well. Australia has a solo up, too and we get the scores from the
judges....
ARG-9
IND-8
S. AFR.-8
USA-8
IRE-8
RUS-9
CHI-8
That 58 means a soloist from Australia is gone....gone.....gone! But
hey, they're still here with 355 & the lead. For South Africa, Claudia &
his partner does the same ballroom as before. To your scores, judges.
ARG-8
IND-8
AUS-8
USA-8
IRE-9
RUS-9
CHI-9
A 59 jumps them to 3nd overall with a 346. To end it, The Groovaloos
from the USA do their thing. A girl with a boombox gets them started.
You won't believe an ending by this guy. Let's get the numbers.....
ARG-10
IND-9
AUS-10
S. AFR-9
IRE-9
RUS-10
CHI-9
You get a 66 in group and 363 for the lead. That ends a show with a
bang.
And so ends another chapter in the SOD pile. USA, Oz and South Africa
are your top 3. Next week, we keep on dancing until there's no more.
You've got 2 weeks to figure out who's the superstar of dance. |
