The World Needed Web Browsers, But All They Got Was Mice
January 5

To any country participating on "Superstars of Dance," let's be fair, your country may be in danger and South Africa is one of them. But it's the quarters and only one has to go, so go we shall, shall we?

Let's continue the quarterfinals with Argentina and Muchas Gauchos will kick things off. One has a cape flying like Drew Lachey did when he won a DWTS 2 title. Even 1 in 2 yo-yos.....don't hurl yourself, another one has it and 1 more has it. To the judges....

A bad start to the night with a 48, but good news, it's 171 points and the lead. For India, it's Mythil Parash, and she does a solo dance. To me, she looks a little weird, but hey it's television, it can happen. Judges?

A 58 in solo gives them a tie for the lead. Next, Ireland represents Kelly Hendry and she does an Irish jig with ballet flats. No wonder girls in America are wearing that. Now to the scoreboard.....

That 56 in solo will take the lead......by 8 points. Australia has Henry & Jiselle doing quirky ballroom in Latin. Here's the best highlight.....Henry's on the chair, but Jiselle's takes her turn and both fight over it. Let's not fight over the scoreboard, shall we people?

You get a 56 and 170 will mean 3rd place. Up next, We have Victor De Silva & Claudia Saviddes all the way from South Africa. This time, they got more ballroom for you. The best highlight was Claudia doing a copter move. On to the scoreboard:

The 59 points for South Africa will give them 171 and a 3-way tie for 2nd place. Off to China and Yang......that's just his name, gets his double whip on. Think it's more dangerous than yo-yo's? Think again. Can I have a scoreboard check?

For China's 2nd solo, 51 gives them 168 and 4th place overall. To the US we go and Keyshia Sumbrey-Edwards tap dances for you. Dang, she's fast! Scoreboard check:

USA's 2nd solo gives them a 169...but it's 6th place unfortunately. We have a group of Russian dancers up next and they brought the country's spirit to it. They are on fire....I ain't playin'. To the scoreboard.....

With a 51, a 165 sadly puts them in the basement. Another group of dancers come from India and they've got sticks...... plus, women dance on top of men and they danced in an "X" formation....or a circle.....or an oval.......on to the scoreboard.

For South Africa's 2nd solo, a 58 gets them 229 and a 4-point lead differential. Miriam Laraci from last night's show does to solo for her country known as Argentina. She has a blanky, and puts it down for a sensual dance. Does that help her country? Only the numbers will tell....

With a 2nd solo from Argentina, a 57 gives them 228 and 2nd place. Damien O'Kane of Ireland, also from last night has a partner named Bernadette Flynn. If you pay attention, they do a foxtrot. On to the scoreboard....

That duet score of 58 gives them the lead of.....237 points. China's next and Zhen & An show off their ballet side. Even Zhen was on top of An and it was an amazing balance without falling. Can a bad score fall into the elimination line? Let's see....

With a 53 and a 221 in the top 5, we say adios to India & China in the duet category. Keeping up with the show, Russia has Maria Kochetkova and we're sticking with the ballet theme. And the numbers say....

A 63 gives them the lead in the solo department, but 228 is a tie for 3rd. Here's Reed Lupau from Australia and he does contemporary with nice flips. Let's flip the scoreboard over now....

That 65 will give them 235 and 2nd place, but China, South Africa & Ireland...pack your bags, you got to go. But a deadlock with Argentina, Australia and USA means it's time to vote. Here's the judges scorecard....

4-USA
1-Australia
0-Argentina

That means any country that begins with the letter A, here's an R word for you: Rejected! Last up, the Groovaloos from the USA. A flip over a man in a gurney means the man in that gurney revived him. Even with break dancing, all of them dance in unison. And the last check of the scoreboard goes like this....

The USA takes the lead in group with a 67 and a 236 for 2nd overall, but Russia & Argentina, thanks for playing, now GET OUT!

So...it's over. Let the janitors clean up where they are. The top 3 are: Australia, USA & Ireland. Tune in next Monday.... not Sunday.....next Monday for more dancing than a high school prom, but ask yourself which country is...... the Superstar of Dance?
